I purchased a smaller 15ml size jar from Mecca for $25 to try. It's texture feels like a light gel. It's lovely and smoothing on and has a cooling sensation when applied. I don't find it overly hydrating maybe because I have dry skin and the matte feel of the product on your skin is something im not use to. It does feel nice and leaves skin soft and smooth but my skin still feels dry after continual use. So I wouldn't repurchase it.

Tips: Try to sample first.
I love the pink touch of Clinique’s moisture surge products, and I love the cooling sensation of this gel on my face... especially when my face goes warm and pink when tired. My favourite is to use this gel as a night time moisturiser to keep my skin nice and hydrated through the night. I’m not really sure about the 72hrs hydration behind the scenes.. since I can’t really tell.. but my skin definitely survived overnight that’s for sure. My skin didn’t feel thirsty or dehydrated when i woke up the next morning, but soft, awake, and ready for another busy day ahead.
I loved the lightness and smoothness of this gel.. and definitely will try it again, but probably not too soon.. as it’s not affordable for everyone.
Tips: The cooling sensation of the gel is perfect to keep your skin nice and cool during a hot summer’s night.
This moisturiser is really refreshing, it has a gel-like consistency and a little goes a long way. I only had a sample tube, but it lasted ages. It absorbs quickly and doesn't leave any tacky or greasy residue. My face feels nicely moisturised for the day (I wouldn't say 72 hours) when using it, but I still prefer my Tatcha Water Cream over this.
Despite the name giving the impression that this is a thick, hydrating moisturiser, it's relatively thin and thirst quenching. It doesn't leave any sticky film or feel too heavy, yet it really hydrates and plumps up the skin. An amazing option for those who need that extra bit of moisture but don't want a heavy cream weighing down the face. I personally loved using this as a primer before foundation as it gave a really smooth finish to my face!
I love love love Clinique products, so have been using three different products from the Moisture Surge range.
This intense hydrator really does lock in the moisture. If feels like it is creating a cocoon across your face, with all the natural moisture being kept underneath the barrier of the hydrator cream.
For me, this was too intense. I definitely have dry patches on my face, but I also have a super oily T-Zone. So now the jar is sitting on my dressing table with other Moisture Surge products (the lightweight moisture surge gel is awesome for combination skin) and not being used to its full potential.
Tips: Really only suits very dry skin. Clinique is great if you want intense skin care without fragrances added.
I borrowed a little of this moisturiser from a friend and immediately went out and bought it for myself. I've always been a supermarket-brands girl when it comes to moisturisers, so the price point was definitely a cringe factor and I'm rationing it out as carefully as I can!
Fortunately, a little goes a long way, though I did find my skin adjusting and requiring a little more after a couple of weeks of use.
I love that this moisturiser is very effective while still leaving my skin feeling like skin rather than feeling oily or slippery. I've also noticed a little less acne, and when I went back to my trusty Olay for a day I broke out immediately, so I definitely feel like the Clinique is better for my skin.
Despite having only used a sample of this product, I am already ordering a full size. I love the texture of the gel, it feels weightless on the skin and absorbs super quickly. It has a very light scent and doesn't irritate or inflame my sensitive skin. My skin feels super nourished and hydrated after use. Would recommend to anyone wanting to change up their moisturiser!
The Clinique Moisture Surge 72 Hour Auto Replenishing Hydrator worked well on my dry skin. My skin felt refreshed and soft after only a few uses. I really liked the formulation of this moisturiser and will definitely repurchase. I also like that it comes in a small tester size so you can try it before you splurge on a full sized product.
I normally use the Dramatically Different Gel Cream and have been for a while now but got given a sample of this at my local Clinique Counter. It is beautifully lightweight and absorbs into my skin straight away. My skin looks plumper and has noticeably less shine by midday. It’s winter at the moment so will see how my skin goes using this as it’s normally drier in winter but so far I’m obsessed with this product and will replace my other moisturiser with this one.
This is a really nice hydrating sort of gel cream. It’s not uber light but it’s definitely not heavy or thick on the skin. I used this over winter while I was running a dehumidifier and it definitely helped my skin. I would say because it feels light you this would suit combination and even oily skin. It also like that Clinique leaves added fragrance out of it. However, that's where the praise ends, because 75 bucks is too much to justifying me repurchasing the pot once it's finished. I'm glad I got a mini of this as a gift with purchase because I wanted see if would make my lines disappear but a facial oil is still the better way to go during the winter and I think the texture could be easily duped on the Korean skincare market for less than 75 bucks.
Tips: Definitely get a sample as before purchasing as this is very pricey.
