I adore this cleansing balm. You warm a little in your hands, massage it into your face and it takes all the makeup off quickly, easily with a minimum of fuss. The product isn't overly scented and doesn't irritate my eyes at all. This product irritates less than some specific eye makeup removers I have used. This is not cheap but does seem worth the price. I will probably repurchase.

Tips: use this as first step in a double cleanse.
I received this product for a gift and originally didn't use it for a while as I was happy using my face wipes.
However I started using it and it really takes off every bit of makeup. I use it under and ontop of my eyes to get rid of all the last bits of eye makeup and literally takes it all off.
However I find that it takes alot to wash off excess balm and it sits on your skin, so I put it on with my fingers, use cotton pads to wipe it off along with all the makeup and then a wet cotton pad to wipe again to get rid of it all as it does have a slimy feeling to it.
I was struggling to find a makeup remover that actually did the job, without drying out my skin.
I saw this and thought I'd give it a nudge, it's not overly expensive for the amount of product you get in the jar. The packaging is quite nice, the lavendar colour of the pot, to me, has 'relax' written all over it.
The consistency is like solidified coconut oil but it melts under the warmth of your skin. So it does spread quite well. I put it straight on to my skin using a cotton but to dig it out of the pot, unless I've run out, then I wash my hands in between each swipe.
I put some of this on my cheeks, forehead, nose and each eye then rub in to my skin paying extra attention to my eyes to get the mascara and eyeliner off.
It's super gentle, doesn't have a strong smell at all and is very smooth in consistency. It's an oil-based product so for my Sahara-dry skin it's perfect and it gets eye makeup off like nothing I've ever tried before! You literally look like panda eyes because you see all the mascara dissolved, so you know it works!
I wash it off with warm water, and because it's oil-based, you do have to massage it off, especially around the eyes. It leaves my skin feel super hydrated and supple.
I'll never be without this, it's a compulsory-on-my-bathroom-counter-product. The price is well worth it for something that seriously works.
Tips: If you have oily skin, this may not work well for you as it's oil-based.
Honestly the best cleansing product I have ever used. Does exactly what it says and removes even the most stubborn ear make-up and lipsticks. Leaves skin feeling clean, soft and smooth. Never irritating on my often sensitive skin. Also great value for money as it will last such a long time. I use this daily and like to use it in the shower. Would highly recommend it to anyone who needs just one product to remove all traces of make-up
Tips: Perfect for us skin types, have recommend it to my friends and all love it. Can be found on Strawberry.net for $50!!
I got given just over half a tub of this by my BFF who had no room in her luggage going home (Waaaaaaahhhhh!!!) and you can guess that if she was jettisoning this, it's a large tub!
First off, this stuff removes ALL the makeup. I have oily skin but I have no hesitation in using this balm that turns into an oil-esk substance on the skin. Just the tiniest amount is required.
It doesn't leave a residue. It does remove estee lauder double wear. It does remove stubborn makeup. I will cry when I finally get to the bottom of what I have because it means I'll have to buy my own, but it just does such an amazing job, I need this in my life.
After seeing a couple of well-known beauty bloggers recommend this product and myself in need of a proper makeup remover I decided to splash out and purchase this.
I can say nothing but positive things about this product! While on the pricier end I absolutely love Clinique products I suppose it is a pricetag that comes alongside the brand. Luckily though, the pricetag is for sure worth it.
I use about a coin sized scoop on my fingertips and wipe it all over my face, including my eyelashes. The balm works its magic and my makeup just melts off. I then use water to wash the balm off and go about my usual cleansing routine.
My face feels so clean and the product leaves my skin feeling soft and not one bit irritated. The only potential problem I suspect this balm may encounter is if you own a super waterproof mascara, you may need a separate eye makeup remover for that one.
This is what all those makeup remover balms are aiming to be, this manages to get every little bit of makeup including waterproof off in a manner of minutes without the need to over scrub or ending up with liner still under the eye, or leftover mascara in the morning.
It is expensive but it is a large pot, and a little does go a long way as the oil in the balm seems to expand with the heat of your hands, so rubbing it between your fingers first before applying to the skin will see you get a prolonged use out of this ja rmaking it a little more afffordable, granted I don't buy this all the time but if I happen to be at a Clinique counter or at duty free then I do get a large jar of it, or 2. You really can't beat good skincare and my skin loves me for it.
Its pretty expensive. But it takes off my make up nicely. When I use it I like to use it like a mask, leave it on my skin and relax. Just let it work its magic. I don't use it to take my mascara off because it irritates my eyes slightly. My skin feels lovely and soft after using this.
As with all Clinique products this is brilliant- takes off all your makeup and leaves your skin feeling lovely and not oily. The packaging is very luxe with the purple glass jar. My issue is paying $60 for a makeup remover when there are other effective options which don’t break the bank- and which don’t result in more waste sent to landfill. Ethique has a makeup remover bar which is just as good and in fact I think coconut oil would probably be an ok substitute. Maybe I’m turning into too much of a hippy but I can’t see myself repurchasing for these reasons
This make up removing balm is honestly amazing. The consistency is obviously a balm, but when you warm it up by rubbing it between your fingers it turns into an oil. You just rub it onto the area and it gets everything off, just rinse or wipe the area with a wet cloth and it's all gone. So clean, and it doesn't sting when you open your eyes. I haven't noticed a smell or anything. Because it turns into an oil, it means that a little goes a very long way. This product will last a super long time, and it gets off even the most stubborn mascara. I even got foundation and bright red lip stain on white top, and I tried everything to get it out. The only thing that really worked, was this make up remover. It literally pulled it right out and you can't even tell there was anything on it. It may seem a bit pricey, but it will last such a long time, and it works 10x better than any other make up remover I've tried. So I think it's definitely worth it. The packaging makes it seem luxurious and fancy. It looks so clean and pretty. It doesn't dry out your skin and it feels very soft, and I think it would be fine on anyone with sensitive skin.
I absolutely LOVE this stuff.
