Ok, so I was very hesitant to buy this cleanser, firstly I don't like shelling out my hard earned cash for products that potentially won't agree with my skin. But I have a great clinique sales person and she talked me into it. I was also buying Estee Lauder Double wear foundation so needed something heavy duty to remove that along with concealer, powder and eye make up. Well this does the trick, its lovely to put on, great to massage in, I usually start with my cheeks, chin and forehead then once I see my base has been broken up I continue onto my eyes. I love cleansers that don't hurt my eyes and this one definitely doesn't sting and is also very gentle on my eye area. I also have a spot of eczema on my eyelid and it has dissappeared while using this cleansing balm. Any way, will definitely be re-purchasing when I run out. Worth the money.

Tips: Wash off thoroughly or it can be oily on your skin.
I have recently bought this product and have been using it each day. This product works great for me as I wear a waterproof mascara which is usually quite difficult to remove. I find this remover very gentle on my skin and the oils remove the makeup very quickly and effortlessly. This product is great for my sensitive skin, and surprisingly doesn't sting my eyes!
Tips: After using this remover I use a clinique face cleanser, this removes any left over oils leaving the skin soft and clean :)
I really wanted to love this product after all the rave reviews, and although it definitely got rid of all my makeup, after a few times using it my skin kept breaking out. It may be better for someone with dry skin
Tips: This could possibly work for someone with drier skin
I wear the Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation - It is very thick and full coverage. I used to use endless amounts of makeup wipes and micellar to remove my makeup. However, the Clinique take the day off balm has made the process ten times easier. It is fragrance free and does not irritate my skin, or dry it out, or leave it red and irritated. When first applied, the balm melts into the foundation and removes it with ease. It also takes off any eye makeup without irritating my eyes or getting product in them. The balm is a quick and easy way to remove even the most stubborn makeup. I find it actually removes all of my makeup. Leaving my skin nicely prepped and clean for exfoliating and cleansing. The only downside is that since the balm comes in a container it can be difficult to control how much you will need and use too much, making it run out faster.
If you don't mind spending a bit extra this is the balm for you. It melts in your hand and does an amazing job taking of every inch of makeup on your face. I was a bit dubious trying it out as I was worried it would be too heavy for my eyes. I was super impressed when I found it wasn't as greasy and messy as I had expected. At first you look like a panda, but adding water gets it off straight away. After that I cleansed and moisturized and I was left as clean as a whistle. I love the cute jar and purple is definitely a colour I would have in the bathroom. Easy to use and definitely would buy again.
Tips: Keep in the shower for a quick way to get that stubborn makeup off
I normally prefer cleansing oils but after seeing the reviews I thought I’d try this balm out. It feels lovely and soft in the hands and easily removes all my makeup with just a little bit of elbow grease. I use a warm face cloth to remove the residue (and broken down makeup) and my skin feels clean and fresh afterwards. The only thing I’m not a huge fan of is how messy it is to use. I have always applied my cleansing oils to a face cloth but found this works better with the hands. Then I seem to get the balm everywhere when trying to rinse it off. I really enjoy this product so do think I’ll buy it again but I definitely need more practice with it at this stage.
This is my all time favourite make up remover. It feels amazing on the skin, isnt aggressive or harsh and you can see the make up being removed as you massage it in. Oh yes. A face massage as you remove your make up. It is DIVINE! It removes eye make up well without irritation either. My only gripe is the price point. $65 is a lot of money for a make up remover and I find it difficult to part with that kind of cash for a pottle.
Tips: Mecca often have trial sizes in their freebies so if you're lucky enough to get one give it a go before parting with your $$
definitely still need to second cleanse after use (as you should) however I love this balm!! and for the price its super good. Feels similar to coconut oil but not as dense or oily. the only downside is that if your hands aren't dry it turns into a kind of milk
Tips: make sure to work into the skin really well with DRY hands
Ive been hooked on this product for at least the last 2 years. It is amazing!! I hate any trace of makeup left on my skin at night, I use this in the shower and it removes everything with ease. I can get sensitive skin but Clinique products never cause my any issues. No more tugging my eyes with the facecloth to remove my long wear makeup. Its expensive but lasts ages, and Im happy to pay that when something works!!
Tips: I also use the balm first then cleanse as normal. Rub the Balm all over the face, then add water to hands and rub over Balm to create a "oil" type liquid
Quick and easy to use. There is absolutely no fuss when using a cleansing balm. Clinique's one removes pretty much every trace of makeup. Stubborn eyeliner gone. Long wear lipstick bye bye.
I use this product every night because it is so effective. It's also great as it doesn't leave a residue on your face once rinsed off with a damp towel.
This product works well for facial massage as well. It allows your fingers to glide over your skin without pulling at it.
Tips: Follow up with something like a micellar water to make sure every trace of makeup is gone.
