I love the taste of the spearmint it leaves a nice taste in your mouth and makes your breath smell nice and kills up too 99.99% of germs.
I am not a big fan of mouthwashes because they burn my mouth but I do have to incoporate them for my dental hygiene. I am sorry but this one is not for me. Maybe the other flavours are better.
The only one I tried in their range was the green tea because I just love the flavour and smell of green tea. It comes in a see through bottle and is a green colored liquid. I measure a cap full and swirl it around. However much I try I always experience burning mouth and my eyes tear up. I do however like the taste.
I mostly use this at night because the taste doesnt last long and breath is not fresh after a couple of hours. Also I didnt really like the after taste which was really sweet. Ended up gargling with water after every use because I didn't want to sleep with a sweet mouth. I kept imagining that all my teeth will have cavities.
I use the green one and like how they come in different sizes. I grab a big one for home and the smaller ones for when we go away somewhere. My partner who's basically never used mouthwash had begun using this and since uses it everyday! Maintains that fresh and clean feeling for so much longer than brushing alone
I have used both the green and light blue Colgate Plax mouthwashes and would recommend them. I find Listerine too strong (burning sensation) for my liking and Colgate Plax has a more subtle taste whilst still leaving your mouth fresh and minty.
Would definitely recommend to others that find Listerine mouthwashes a little too strong.
Colgate Mouth Wash does what it is supposed to do and I am happy to say that it often goes on sale at my local supermarket. I find the light blue one is a bit strong for me, but I really like the spearmint green one. In fact for a while I carried a small sample one in my bag for before job interviews and the like.
I love colgate mouthwas they are so mild yet effective and they come in different flavours so depending on which you prefer theres somwthing for everyone!
Tips: My fav is the pink one for sensitive so try this if you suffer from sensitivity!
I have tried peppermint and spearmint. Spearmint is my fave, after brushing I use it to get that extra clean mouth and teeth. Refreshing after taste and not as strong flavour wise as peppermint is, spearmint reminds of the white extra chewing gum, yummmy x
I've been using this for years quite happily and only switched when Colgate brought out a newer version which doesn't contain alcohol.
Having tried both I'd stick with the alcohol-free now (because it seems to be less drying of your tongue and soft tissues) but I had no complaints using this mouthwash before the alcohol-free version was available.
I avoided them for years because I thought the strong smell would translate to a strong taste (gag) and aftertaste. Plus I thought they were an expensive marketing ploy :)
In fact the taste isn't gag-worthy at all and the aftertaste disapates quickly enough.
It seems like an expensive addition to your dental care regime but once you start using it you realise you only need to use a tiny amount if you take a little extra time to properly swish it around every surface in your mouth.
Tips: I like to gently scrape or scrub my whole tongue now and rinse my mouth out with water before using the mouthwash. I never knew that a lot of the bacteria that can cause bad breath and promote tooth decay can be found on the tongue and other soft tissues of the mouth. Tooth brushing alone doesn't touch em, which us why a little mouthwash (I especially like the Total one) can do so much for good oral health and sweeter breath.
We will usually get this brand when we need mouth rinse , I find it's a bit strong for me personally but husband loves it has a good price compared to other brands and a range of flavours . The size is also good the 500ml means it lasts a while and I'm not continuously buying mouthwash
