I am blessed that I received my set of lippiestix in my makeup swap. So I have the Sundays in sliver lake set plus 1 other. These are a combo of mattes cream and sheen. Can I just say these smell sweet & are very practical. For the price they're sweet. The shades I have are Cougar(matte red with a blue undertone),Parker (matte nude brown),Pasties (supersheen brick red),Ace (cream muted brown nude), Chella (cream peaches orange ),Thirsty (satin grey brown nude)& Tootsie (matte dark brown grey nude) Packaging :A retractable pencil type stick with a white lid with its name glitter graphics on the outside the colour at the tip with its name on it. Very user friendly. Contents: A slim lipstick that is slanted & has alot inside. It smells like chocolate & the slant makes it easy to apply. Effects: I line my lips first then sweep the lippiestix onto my bottom lip instantly pigmented colour with one stroke. So there is no need to over lap the first swatch but old habits die hard. I'm learning that one swatch is satisfactory & especially when my lipliner is a primer it helps with the colour and stay power. I find as the day goes on the colour fades but still stays on & I don't mind that it's faded as it still looks very nice. I haven't experienced any feathering & I've been wearing these everyday as my go to lip sticks. For a matte finish this doesn't show up every crack on your lips as most mattes finishes would. The cream finish is very complementary aswell. I love lippiestix by colorpop.

Tips: Use Milani lip liner primer in transparent anti feathering it helps with stay power there's no feathering & it adds pigmentation.
I just made a huge colourpop order and I got a bunch of lippie stix, they have quickly become my new favourite lip sticks, they're super long lasting, they come in so many colours and are really affordable (the postage to nz is super pricey though) but I really like them so much, I can't think of anything I would change about them, they do have a slight scent but it's nothing offensive. All the shades I got were in a matte finish and they last all day without being drying,
My collection of Matte and Matte X lippie stix now included over 20 shades and I love them all.
The small tube size is perfect for smaller lips and the shape allows for extreme precision and a tidy lip line.
The formulas of the matte and matte x lippie sticks is comfortable on the lips and long lasting. But be aware that any oily or hot food with melt your lipstick.
I love the cheap price point that has allowed me to buy shades I am not sure about to try with out worrying about wasting lots of money on a product I might never wear.
Color pop now does free shipping to NZ if you spend over 50 usd. This is the best way to do things otherwise the shipping is a bit expensive.
Tips: Buy the matching lip liner if that is your way of doing things.
I loved the amount of colours I could pick from the website, and the amount of product was more than I was expecting. The last power isnt as great as i would like it to be and the matte can be slightly drying on my lips. I found that they worked just as well without a lip liner which was great, but the smell was not my favourite.
Tips: If you arent a fan of fragrances in makeup be wary of the smell.
I bought a couple of these on a whim, and liked them so much I now have almost every colour they made. They apply smoothly and last incredibly well throughout the day and whatever I eat. They smell really good too!
Tips: Oil will remove them, so be prepared to reapply after eating anything with oil in it, and give them a minute to set properly before eating or drinking.
When they were first launched, I was really excited and I ordered a number of different shades. Online shopping has its down sides and it is the shade not matching what I see on the computer screen. Anyways the formula was really nice and creamy, but that wasn’t the case for all of the shades and finishes I’m afraid. And once it has gone past it’s use-by date, the smell goes off and the formula goes weird too.
Tips: Don’t buy heaps at a time unless you can use them up within 6 months or something. Otherwise it will go to waste
After seeing all the reviews online and the unbelievable prices I just had to pick up some products! These Lippie Stix are only USD$5 each which is amazing. I joined in on an order with some friends though as the shipping can be quite expensive. I picked up two shades, Lumiere and Frida. Frida I picked up solely because my favourite artist is Frida Kahlo, I would have picked that one up no matter the shade!
The Lippie Stix's come in six different finishes; Cream, Glossy, Hyper-Glossy, Matte Pearlized, and Satin. I picked up Frida, a satin finish. It is a warm mid tone nude pink with a satin finish and is one of the shades created by Youtuber 'Coffee Break with Dani'. The Lumiere is a matte finish. It is a dusty mauve pink in a matte finish created by the YouTuber Kathleen Lights. I don't currently watch either of the YouTubers but I love that Colourpop collaborates with heaps of Youtubers as it is a nice way of bringing that community together (and marketing gold).
The packaging for these is lovely. I really like the white tubes... although they do kind of remind me of applicator tampons, but not enough to put me off. I really like the holographic print on them although on one that has been in my pocket for a while the writing has rubbed off. At the end of the lippy it has the shade of the lipstick which is one of my all time favourite things in a lippy. The lid has a excellent click to it so there is never any worry about it coming off. The part that twists to bring more lippy up is also coloured the same as the lippy which is a nice touch.
The lippy itself is much thinner than I would expect for a usual lippy but obviously big enough to do the job. Both of these go on to the lips very smoothly. They feel very comfortable on the lips, not drying or sticky. The wear time of these isn't outstanding, they last around 2 -3 hours and fade with drinking and eating, but I don't expect much more out of a lippy.
To be honest (which you would hope I was being), I don't think I will be purchasing more of these. I do love the packaging but there is nothing special about these that I can't get in another product, unless I fall in love with a specific shade.
I bought a few of these after seeing them in countless YouTube videos.
I bought the matching lipliners to match and the colours I bought are Lumiere, Bossy and Leather.
Lumiere is a very '90s brown. Think George Michael video with all the supermodels in it. It's matte, goes on like a dream but I found after a while, it did dry out my lips so had to apply a balm over the top to stop them from feeling so tight.
Bossy is almost a true red. Super luxurious and a killer lipstick to pair with a simple eye and a cat flick. This is also a matte.
Leather is a really rich purple which isn't matte, almost like a satin finish. This was my favourite of the lot. However the matching lip pencil is a few shades darker than the lipstick itself, which I was quite disappointed bout. This doesn't dry my lips out however so that's a bonus.
The colour lasts a while though, which I'm happy about. The pigmentation is ridiculously awesome, a little goes a long way.
Tips: Exfoliate your lips first. Some of these colours are very unforgiving on dry lips.
Like anyone that watches youtube, I have been curious about these as they have been receiving so much hype. Initially I ignored the hype but started to listen to it when I saw friends talk about how much they liked these. I went on to Colourpop's site and ordered Pitch and their Forget the Fruit Cake set which has 6 lippie stix.
Pitch is a matte, medium brown. This is by far my favourite lippie stick. The colour payoff is good but the wear time isn't. It lasts around 2-3 hours on my lips before needing a serious reapplication. Their mattes aren't super matte as they are very hydrating, so they slide around a bit.
Cookie is a beautiful beige nude Matte. Good pigmentation but the lasting time isn't fantastic.
Confetti is a bright orange red with a glossy finish. This is super comfortable and pigmented but the wear time is again, disappointing. I am lucky to get 2 hours out of this before needing to reapply.
The other shades in the set are as follows (I haven't worn them as I intend to gift these to a friend),
Tuxedo - a super glossy lipstick, is is neon pink.
Cheers is a deep red matte
Tutu is another matte that is a dark, dark red
Lady is a deep raspberry/purple matte.
You may be fooled into thinking that these are great bang for your buck. I was. At only $5US each, these seem like a great price yeah? Well actually they work out quite expensive... You get 1gm of product per lippie, whereas Jordana lipsticks for example have 3.4gms and cost less than these. This may seem nit picky but I like to get the best bang for my buck and I feel that these are a little deceptive. Also the postage costs from the site are - quite frankly, extortionate. If you plan on ordering from here I recommend you either do a large order to make the postage costs worth it, or order with a friend so you can split the costs.
The packaging is kind of ugly in my opinion. These come in a long white tube with the colour at the end. I like that they're colour coded but the long white tube reminds me of old school tampons. Colourpop is on the side of the tube in holographic type which is one thing I like about the packaging.
These twist up and are angled like a lipstick so applying them is super easy. They have lids which is great for hygiene purposes.
Overall I am very much 'meh' about these. When I first got them I thought they looked amazing, and Pitch is a gorgeous colour. But after using them for a while and having explored them a bit more I won't purchase them again and I wouldn't recommend them to a friend. It isn't that they are bad products, I just think that for the price you can get something else just as decent (if not better).
I love these lip products. The packaging of these is really nice. Plain white with sparkly writing on it, the only down side is that the writing wears off over time meaning that eventually you will not know what brand or colour these are.
The shape of the product is really well designed, it is small and cut at a really nice angle so when applying you can create a nicely defined lip line without the need for lip liner or fear of overdrawing the lip shape.
These wear for a really long time and have even survived through a light snack without the need for reapplying. That being said the matching lip liners do help in the overall longevity of the lip colour. Although the lasting power is really good on these, they do transfer if you are not careful, especially when eating or drinking. I have ended up with colour on my chin from my lip hitting it when drinking out of a cup.
The primer really does help when applying these lip products. I have really dry lips all the time and find that even the satin version can be drying. So applying their primer which is a kind of chapstick moisturiser for the lips really helps with the application and not to dry my lips out. The matte versions can be sometimes very drying on the lips and can show lines in the lips very easily if not properly moisturised.
I currently own: Frida - satin Brink - matte Lumiere - matte Bichette - matte Dalia - matte Primer
After all of that I still love these lip products and will certainly be buying more in the future. The price is amazing for the product you receive and the pigmentation is near opaque creating a lovely lip colour that is amazing. I always receive compliments whenever I wear these lippie stix’s.
Tips: Moisturise lips before applying and exfoliate if possible
