I purchased a holiday set of 6 shades. They glide on so creamy and smooth. Pigmentation is good. Staying power . . . not so good. But for the price of these I would purchase more, I don't find having to re-apply a lippie through out the day a major.

Reviews
Tips: Carry the lippie with you for touch ups. Apply a primer.
Like anyone that watches youtube, I have been curious about these as they have been receiving so much hype. Initially I ignored the hype but started to listen to it when I saw friends talk about how much they liked these. I went on to Colourpop's site and ordered Pitch and their Forget the Fruit Cake set which has 6 lippie stix.
Pitch is a matte, medium brown. This is by far my favourite lippie stick. The colour payoff is good but the wear time isn't. It lasts around 2-3 hours on my lips before needing a serious reapplication. Their mattes aren't super matte as they are very hydrating, so they slide around a bit.
Cookie is a beautiful beige nude Matte. Good pigmentation but the lasting time isn't fantastic.
Confetti is a bright orange red with a glossy finish. This is super comfortable and pigmented but the wear time is again, disappointing. I am lucky to get 2 hours out of this before needing to reapply.
The other shades in the set are as follows (I haven't worn them as I intend to gift these to a friend),
Tuxedo - a super glossy lipstick, is is neon pink.
Cheers is a deep red matte
Tutu is another matte that is a dark, dark red
Lady is a deep raspberry/purple matte.
You may be fooled into thinking that these are great bang for your buck. I was. At only $5US each, these seem like a great price yeah? Well actually they work out quite expensive... You get 1gm of product per lippie, whereas Jordana lipsticks for example have 3.4gms and cost less than these. This may seem nit picky but I like to get the best bang for my buck and I feel that these are a little deceptive. Also the postage costs from the site are - quite frankly, extortionate. If you plan on ordering from here I recommend you either do a large order to make the postage costs worth it, or order with a friend so you can split the costs.
The packaging is kind of ugly in my opinion. These come in a long white tube with the colour at the end. I like that they're colour coded but the long white tube reminds me of old school tampons. Colourpop is on the side of the tube in holographic type which is one thing I like about the packaging.
These twist up and are angled like a lipstick so applying them is super easy. They have lids which is great for hygiene purposes.
Overall I am very much 'meh' about these. When I first got them I thought they looked amazing, and Pitch is a gorgeous colour. But after using them for a while and having explored them a bit more I won't purchase them again and I wouldn't recommend them to a friend. It isn't that they are bad products, I just think that for the price you can get something else just as decent (if not better).
After seeing all the reviews online and the unbelievable prices I just had to pick up some products! These Lippie Stix are only USD$5 each which is amazing. I joined in on an order with some friends though as the shipping can be quite expensive. I picked up two shades, Lumiere and Frida. Frida I picked up solely because my favourite artist is Frida Kahlo, I would have picked that one up no matter the shade!
The Lippie Stix's come in six different finishes; Cream, Glossy, Hyper-Glossy, Matte Pearlized, and Satin. I picked up Frida, a satin finish. It is a warm mid tone nude pink with a satin finish and is one of the shades created by Youtuber 'Coffee Break with Dani'. The Lumiere is a matte finish. It is a dusty mauve pink in a matte finish created by the YouTuber Kathleen Lights. I don't currently watch either of the YouTubers but I love that Colourpop collaborates with heaps of Youtubers as it is a nice way of bringing that community together (and marketing gold).
The packaging for these is lovely. I really like the white tubes... although they do kind of remind me of applicator tampons, but not enough to put me off. I really like the holographic print on them although on one that has been in my pocket for a while the writing has rubbed off. At the end of the lippy it has the shade of the lipstick which is one of my all time favourite things in a lippy. The lid has a excellent click to it so there is never any worry about it coming off. The part that twists to bring more lippy up is also coloured the same as the lippy which is a nice touch.
The lippy itself is much thinner than I would expect for a usual lippy but obviously big enough to do the job. Both of these go on to the lips very smoothly. They feel very comfortable on the lips, not drying or sticky. The wear time of these isn't outstanding, they last around 2 -3 hours and fade with drinking and eating, but I don't expect much more out of a lippy.
To be honest (which you would hope I was being), I don't think I will be purchasing more of these. I do love the packaging but there is nothing special about these that I can't get in another product, unless I fall in love with a specific shade.
Colour pop is a new range that seems to have a lot of hype surrounded by it. Anyway before I became aware of this new sensation I was a girl who liked to shop in store. Until recently I have discovered that you can get some awesome deals with online shopping. I was given three lippy stix as a present. Funny thing before I was given them, I had been going on the colour pop website day dreaming about them. I saw that they were $5 us; seemed like one hell of a bargain.
Packaging comes in this stick, with this holographic Colour pop down the side. Looks pretty cool. White plastic sized pens. I take the lid off it, to find the tip is same colour as the lip stick inside , good idea! When I wind it up I'm quite surprised at the thickness of it. It's quite thin. The scent of it reminds me of a vanilla ice cream. Smells so good. The colours I was given was Tuxedo, Lady Matte and Tutu matte. The texture of them is smooth and surprisingly not drying. The colour in these are so rich and vibrant. Unfortunately it didn't have much staying power. There definitely was Colour pop.
My results of using these products for over a couple of weeks now. I absolutely love them. I would love to try some more products from colour pop. The smell of them are so yummy! I think their pretty good.
Colour Pop is a USA brand that delivers some impressive high quality products for drugstore prices. I was hooked and I am as I type this awaiting my 3rd haul from them *cough cough*
Lippie Stix, ahhhh where to start these beautiful lipsticks come in a really unique design that make a gorgeous edition to the vanity in a glass container. The pencil shaped white plastic container with the name of the product and Colourpop logo on it in holographic font just adds to its charm. The bottom of the stix shows the colour and the name of the contents. Popping off the cap you are faced with the barrel showing you again what colour is on the inside. Twist this barrel and the lippie stix comes up. The range includes mattes, sheers, hyper glosses and some collaborations with YouTube stars such as coffeebreakwithdani and KathleenLights. Which is where I first found out about Colourpop and got myself plus a few others kind of addicted to them. What makes them special apart for the price is that they are quality products too!! Out of all the variety I have there is just one matte that doesn't like my lips for some reason but the rest of them are long lasting, non drying, highly pigmented with little rub off but there are not promising to be non transferrable lip products so top ups are nothing especially with the cuteness of these lippie stixs I actually love popping them into my bag and then sitting them on my desk to top up the colour after lunch. The only problem is I end up with 4-6 of them in my handbag by the end of the week because I'm so lazy!!
Currently owned shades:
Frida: (Satin) This is the one colour that I had to have, as it is the collab with coffeebreakwithdani and I love her channel, she is who turned me onto Colourpop so I had to have this colour. Frida is warm brick pink colour that looks different on nearly everyone's lips.
Lumiere: (Matte) This is another collab creation with KathleenLights and this is my favourite colour that I own, its a non drying matte that is another one of those tones that looks different on everyone, its a dusty mauve.
Leather: (Matte) deep intense purple but this is the one that actually does dry my lips out which is odd as its a lovely colour.
LBB: (Matte) Rich ruby plum colour
Pitch: (Matte) Rich dark brown colour
Go Fish: (Hyper Gloss) Orange red that has a soft gloss effect to it but nothing too shiny or sticky its almost a muted gloss
Lady: (Matte) Deep raspberry shade
Ellarie: (Matte) Cranberry red colour.
Some of these lipsticks are easily wearable on their own where as some are a little tricky, mainly the mattes that require a good lip liner to help keep within the lines of your lips, luckily most of the lippie stixs have a matching lip pencil.
I had some friends chatting to me about colourpop and went off to investigate. Oh heck! Stay away from their IG page if you are easily enabled!!
Talk about mega cheap! Except for their postage, that's kinda expensive. So I went in with 2 others and we all saved by splitting postage costs.
The packing is super simple! White and plastic. Reminds me of felt pens. I love the hologram logo and wording. Love how the end is the colour of the lippy inside. Easy to figure out with a quick look what tube you need.
The tube twists up the colour stick inside. It's cut on a angle and the end of the tube is angled as well. The lid clicks in hard which is great so it won't fall off in your bag
The actual lippy smells delicious. Vanilla caramel kinda. The product smooths over lips easily enough. I have Mac lippies that glide, these don't glide as such. The end I really like as its narrow and you can get into the edges of your lips easy.
The staying power of these little beauties for me is amazing! These last all day on me easy! Even have to rub them off at night. I rub them with a oil makeup remover. These don't dry out my lips like others have. They aren't moisturizing either. I have 4 of these and plan on adding to my collection really quick
Tips: Don't twist the colour up to much as you could break the end off easily.
I have 6 shades and LOVE all of them! They smell amazing. Make me crave marshmallows :) And the formula is super creamy and pigmented. I use the NYX Lip Primer and I find the lippie stays pretty well. All the shades I have seem pretty universally flattering. I love the packaging too, clean white and simple.
Tips: The twist up tip doesn't make it too easy to apply so use a lip pencil first or apply with a lip brush.
I ordered 4 lippie stix and 4 super shock shadows from the Colourpop website.
First off, prices. The cost was US$40 for the products, plus US$20 shipping, which seems excessive, but seeing as cosmetics are usually more expensive in NZ anyway, it was a pretty good deal! Total cost including shipping was about NZ$75, so it was under NZ$10 per item - so don't let the shipping put you off!
Packaging is cute. Love the holographic fonts. It's simple and white and clean looking. I like the thin stick shape the lippies come in, for me it makes them easier to apply a precise line.
The shades I purchased are:
Skimpy - This is a very light, pinky beige nude and is a gloss finish. When I first tried this on I was so disappointed, it completely cancelled out my lips. It looks like I had concealer all over them, it did not look good with my skin tone, far too light. However, I hate wasting things, so I paired it with the shade Cookie, just in the middle and it gave a beautiful glossy pop and made my lips much fuller!
Cookie - My perfect nude! It's a more beige toned medium nude. This is a your-lips-but-better shade. Matte finish.
Tootsi - This has been compared to Limecrime Cashmere in online swatches but it's a bit more mauve-y. Such a flattering greige, this one is my favourite! Matte finish.
Bull Chic - This one is meant to be matte black, but I find it is more of a satin finish. It also pulls a bit blue-black on my lips and isn't as opaque as the others, but still gives a nice look.
The formula of all the stix were creamy, pigmented and glided easily on to the lips. They have a nice vanilla marshmallow smell and they do last noticeably longer then any one my regular lipsticks. The matte ones don't make my lips feel dry either.
Would definitely repurchase these! I am so happy with the quality and price!!
After watching a huge haul and swatch video (*ahem* maybe four *ahem*) I decided to test these out after the rave review. I bought six - Cookie, Lumiere, Bound, LBB, Frida and Button.
I like the cute packaging, it's a point of difference and adds to the cute "Lippie Stix" title (which two separate people thought that I was just getting tongue tied over saying) The holographic label is sparkly and fun.
They are all gorgeous colours, great pigmentation, go on beautifully and smell yummy too! My favourite is Lumiere, I start the night out with NARS Anna on - but I take Lumiere out with me (I would be less upset to lose it and it's a perfect dupe)
The staying power for me for these hasn't been great. Some only last an hour or two, and transfer quite easily. But I'm happy to tote them along for reapplication. I was too cheap to buy the pencils - so they may have better staying power when lined with the lip pencil first.
I will definitely still be keeping my eyes peeled for new colours, the price point makes them worth not worrying about the short staying time for me.
Tips: Lumiere really is a great dupe for NARS Anna, just without the staying power.
I bought a few of these after seeing them in countless YouTube videos.
I bought the matching lipliners to match and the colours I bought are Lumiere, Bossy and Leather.
Lumiere is a very '90s brown. Think George Michael video with all the supermodels in it. It's matte, goes on like a dream but I found after a while, it did dry out my lips so had to apply a balm over the top to stop them from feeling so tight.
Bossy is almost a true red. Super luxurious and a killer lipstick to pair with a simple eye and a cat flick. This is also a matte.
Leather is a really rich purple which isn't matte, almost like a satin finish. This was my favourite of the lot. However the matching lip pencil is a few shades darker than the lipstick itself, which I was quite disappointed bout. This doesn't dry my lips out however so that's a bonus.
The colour lasts a while though, which I'm happy about. The pigmentation is ridiculously awesome, a little goes a long way.
Tips: Exfoliate your lips first. Some of these colours are very unforgiving on dry lips.
