I heard about how great these lipsticks were and how they were super cheap. I made a purchase off the website and use Youshop to get them into New Zealand. It took about a month for them to arrive. I brought 11 lippie stixs. They had so many amazing colours and different range. The smell of the lippie stixs are amazing, they have a smell of vanilla. They are really creamy even the matte shades. I wasn't to impressed by the fact that after about 20 or so minutes of wearing the lippie stix I would have a line on my lips, a build up of the lippie stix and would need to re-apply or try to remove the build up which I found to be tricky. I love the colours and how creamy the lippie stixs are but I wouldn't recommend these to a friend.

Everyone has heard about the colour pop craze, and for good reason! They are affordable, come in an amazing range of colours, and they ship to New Zealand , who would have thought.
These lippie stix (i hate the name.. just saying), come in a plastic cylinder, with a cap that just pops off. The end off the cylinder has a colour edge so you can easily see which colour is which.
The colours i have are westie, bound & Lumiere. Firstly these smell nice and slightly sweet and the colours are gorgeous. As well as colourpop having a great range of colours, they also have an amazing range of finishes. The colours i got are really pigmented, and apply so smoothly giving even coverage. Seriously, the first time i used these i was in awe. However, the product does not wear well, (although using it with the liner does help). But when you have to use a liner with this product, it makes that a $10 usd purchase, for not a whole lot of product.
Overall, these are nice lipsticks, with a great range and a good price tag. They are not long wearing, but for $5 (usd), who can complain.
I am blessed that I received my set of lippiestix in my makeup swap. So I have the Sundays in sliver lake set plus 1 other. These are a combo of mattes cream and sheen. Can I just say these smell sweet & are very practical. For the price they're sweet. The shades I have are Cougar(matte red with a blue undertone),Parker (matte nude brown),Pasties (supersheen brick red),Ace (cream muted brown nude), Chella (cream peaches orange ),Thirsty (satin grey brown nude)& Tootsie (matte dark brown grey nude) Packaging :A retractable pencil type stick with a white lid with its name glitter graphics on the outside the colour at the tip with its name on it. Very user friendly. Contents: A slim lipstick that is slanted & has alot inside. It smells like chocolate & the slant makes it easy to apply. Effects: I line my lips first then sweep the lippiestix onto my bottom lip instantly pigmented colour with one stroke. So there is no need to over lap the first swatch but old habits die hard. I'm learning that one swatch is satisfactory & especially when my lipliner is a primer it helps with the colour and stay power. I find as the day goes on the colour fades but still stays on & I don't mind that it's faded as it still looks very nice. I haven't experienced any feathering & I've been wearing these everyday as my go to lip sticks. For a matte finish this doesn't show up every crack on your lips as most mattes finishes would. The cream finish is very complementary aswell. I love lippiestix by colorpop.
Tips: Use Milani lip liner primer in transparent anti feathering it helps with stay power there's no feathering & it adds pigmentation.
Ok, so confession: I only have these in totally unnatural colours. This is why I am so impressed though! Generally speaking, I've found that lipsticks in shades like turquoise, mint green, dark green and such are less than awesome. They're patchy, or watery, or too dry, or only last twenty six seconds before vanishing, or they run like a river. THESE are the first ones I've tried that don't do any of those things!! I am truly impressed with these, and I will definitely end up buying more in the future. What's more, they have a liner to match every single lipstick (lookin' at you, MAC!) which is truly something to be thankful for.
Tips: Go for the brights. GO FOR THE BRIGHTS!! Spring has sprung and Summer is coming, after all!
LOVE these!! I can't get enough of the lippie stix! Currently I have 5 shades: Frida, Lumière, Freshman, Sweet-Thing and Frenemie. The different shades they offer come in a variety of finishes too. Some are matte, some satin, glossy, hyper glossy, and recently they added a cream finish. Regardless of the finish, the colors are super pigmented and decently long-wearing. And the formula is creamy and non-drying in the matte shades. The packaging is super cute too. They're tall and skinny like a lip gloss might be but still have the twist up like a regular lipstick. The stick is also thinner so it makes applying to your lips super easy. They have such a great variety of shades for every person and are super affordable at just $5. I could go on forever about how much I love these.
I have these in Westie and Lumiere. Firstly, the scent. It's meant to be vanilla, but it just reminds me of crayons. Cheap crayons. But you don't get that smell once the lipstick is applied.
The lipstick lasts really well. Westie is what I would call a warm baby pink, and Lumiere pulls plum on me. They are creamy for a matte and don't tug at your lips to apply.
The pen size makes them easy to find in a large handbag too. And you cannot argue with the price or the shipping to NZ.
I don't always reach for these lipsticks and I don't know why. I would like to try some more shades however.
Tips: Signing up for the newsletter gets you $5 off your first order, which is a free Lippie Stick. Winning!
Colourpop is so worth all the hype! These are amazing and affordable AND very good quality! There are a lot of shades and finishes to choose from so there's something to suit everyone! These lipsticks I reach for ALL THE TIME and I love them! They're very nice sleek white packaging and easy to just through in your handbag! They don't have a very string smell which is a good thing (for me).. I find that some of the colours also stain the lip a little which is a plus for me! What I love even more about these lippie sticks is that you dont have to sharpen them! Yaaay!
I generally don't like lipsticks that aren't in bullet form but I couldn't ignore all the BR enablers on here! There are a 6-7 finishes available but I only bought lippies with a matte finish with my favourites being Lumiere and LBB (LittleBlackBoots).
They come in a white twist up pen which from afar reminds me of cheap chunky felt pens. Amongst the sea of white it's easy to identify the shade your after because the colour is marked at the end of the pen.
Oddly enough I don't find any of the shades I bought to be matte-like. They're semi-creamy with a bit of shine and hold so that it clings comfortably to the lips. I really enjoy how it feels - my lips feel like they have sort of soothing balm on. They apply on like a dream no tugging or dragging and I don't find them drying at all BUT they bleed a little too easily.
The longevity is decent 4-5 hours but the pigmentation is fantastic with the darker shades staining your lips. I like to apply this with a brush I just think it lasts a little longer and doesn't bleed as much.
Everyone raves about Lumiere so I'll focus on LBB - it's a gorgeous plum wine shade perfect for autumn or if you're like me and don't follow such seasonal lippies it's perfect for anytime hehe!
These could have easily been my new favourite lipsticks but it moves a little too much for my liking.
Tips: Apply using a lip brush I find that it moves a lot less.
I just made a huge colourpop order and I got a bunch of lippie stix, they have quickly become my new favourite lip sticks, they're super long lasting, they come in so many colours and are really affordable (the postage to nz is super pricey though) but I really like them so much, I can't think of anything I would change about them, they do have a slight scent but it's nothing offensive. All the shades I got were in a matte finish and they last all day without being drying,
I love these lip products. The packaging of these is really nice. Plain white with sparkly writing on it, the only down side is that the writing wears off over time meaning that eventually you will not know what brand or colour these are.
The shape of the product is really well designed, it is small and cut at a really nice angle so when applying you can create a nicely defined lip line without the need for lip liner or fear of overdrawing the lip shape.
These wear for a really long time and have even survived through a light snack without the need for reapplying. That being said the matching lip liners do help in the overall longevity of the lip colour. Although the lasting power is really good on these, they do transfer if you are not careful, especially when eating or drinking. I have ended up with colour on my chin from my lip hitting it when drinking out of a cup.
The primer really does help when applying these lip products. I have really dry lips all the time and find that even the satin version can be drying. So applying their primer which is a kind of chapstick moisturiser for the lips really helps with the application and not to dry my lips out. The matte versions can be sometimes very drying on the lips and can show lines in the lips very easily if not properly moisturised.
I currently own: Frida - satin Brink - matte Lumiere - matte Bichette - matte Dalia - matte Primer
After all of that I still love these lip products and will certainly be buying more in the future. The price is amazing for the product you receive and the pigmentation is near opaque creating a lovely lip colour that is amazing. I always receive compliments whenever I wear these lippie stix’s.
Tips: Moisturise lips before applying and exfoliate if possible
