I have psoriasis on my eyelids so finding good shadows has been a real challenge. I tried super shock from word of mouth not really holding out much hope but at the great price it was worth a try. First off trying to choose any colours from the extensive range is so hard! They just have the best selection and it’s constantly being updated. I’ve found the lasting power of these shadows is amazing, they stay put all day looking as good at the end of the day as the start. They don’t cause my skin to react at all which is about the only shadow so far I’ve found that doesn’t. I’ve bought so many of these now and I don’t see myself using any other brand.

Tips: I do a web search on the colours I’m thinking of buying to see different pics and get a better idea of the true colour.
Been a big fan of ColourPop products for a long time. The shade range is phenomenal and the texture is simply unique and the pigment and payoff is top-notch. Price-wise it is unbeatable
Tips: Use your fingers to apply, it is the easiest way
I bought a 4 pack of these and am so impressed - the colours are super pigmented and have great stay power. They do drop a bit of residue though so recommend doing before foundation or at least being prepared to tidy up after!
Tips: The packaging for these is super misleading - beware, there is not as much in there as it seems!
I love these mostly for when I don't have much time to do my makeup. I can easily use my finger and swipe one of the shades over my lid and blend the edges for a super effortless look from natural to dressy. There is such a huge shade range that it can actually get a bit overwhelming trying to choose.
They have good staying power for a creme to powder shadow though I have hooded eyes so they do crease over time. The pigmentation varies between shades, I find the ultra glitters to be great toppers and the ultra metallics to be the most pigmented. The mattes tend to dry out faster in the pots, just make sure you don't forget to put the lids back on after using them.
Tips: If your Super Shock has dried out, add a drop of a mixing medium such as Duraline and mix it in with a small brush. It will change the texture somewhat, but it will make the product workable again.
I love colour pop! An amazing brand for the prices! Their super shock shadows are perfection! They’re so pigmented so you have to be careful when applying but they blend so easily. I will say, be wary of drop residue.
Tips: I recommend applying this before you apply your under-eye concealer or covering your under eye with a make up pad while applying to catch any drop residue.
I absolutely love the super shock shadows from colorpop. They are extremely cheap and the pigment is amazing and always go onto the eye with ease. I would definitely recommend the shadows as they are super affordable and are really pigmented!
I've just counted and it turns out I have 23 different shades of the Colourpop Super Shock Shadows, so I think it's fair to say that I am a fan!
These shadows come in a variety of finishes, including: matte, shimmer, satin, and glitter. Personally I'm less fond of the glitter finish as this does tend to create fallout on the face but the other ones are amazing!
The texture of these are unlike any other product I've tried, they're almost like a putty but less sticky. They do need to have their lids on firmly to prevent drying out which is why they're in the tubs rather than in a palette format. I believe though that this putty-like texture is how they've managed to put so much pigment into the shadows so a little goes a long way.
The amount of product you actually get is quite deceptive, and this is my main gripe with the product. The tub makes it appear as though you are getting a full jar of each shade when in reality it's just a regular sized eyeshadow pan of product inside a large tub, making it difficult to store or transport in your makeup bag.
To sum up my thoughts on this, I do love them but they are a bit big for storage and always threaten to dry out so you really do need to weigh up whether the colour payoff is worth the space in your collection.
Tips: For maximum colour payoff, apply with your finger. If you don't like using your fingers in makeup (like me!) then one of the "old school" eyeshadow applicators with the spongey tip works the same, if not better. Added bonus of the applicators is being able to give a more precise application than using fingers.
This eye shadows are changing the game! First, can we just talk about the fact that they are under $10 and pack some serious pigment?! Seriously I may have a problem....I can't stop buying them! Check 'em out, they have a color for everyone and so many to choose from. Not to mention the names are cute AF
Tips: Make sure you leave the lid on tight when finished or they tend to dry out. Work better with a wet synthetic brush or good ole finger tips :)
I got the Birthday Cake super shock shadow as a gift with my last ColourPop order and I love it!! It isn't an everyday wear eyeshadow for me because of the crazy amount of sparkle. This shadow is a rose gold leaning towards a pink. It is very pigmented and looks chock-full of glitter. Although it has tonnes of sparkle it is also very soft and applies and blends really well - it's almost creamy in texture. It comes in a white round container with a screw on lid, and you get quite a bit more product that the normal ColourPop pressed powder - however given it's not pressed, it does get used faster.
These little beauties come in a white pottle with clear plastic on the lid so you can see which colour you are grabbing. There are so many colours in this range, you just cant stop at one.
I tried applying with all types of brushes but in the end my pinky finger did the best job. I did find there was a bit of fallout so that was a bit annoying, however you do get that with lots of othe brands so its not a big deal really. These are really pigmented and stay on for the day without any bother. I do use a primer so I am not too sure if that makes a difference or not.
Tips: Always remember to keep the lid closed tightly to avoid drying or spillage.
