This powder definitely does mattify. If I want a little coverage this gives a nice sheer to light amount over my foundation. It's perfect for my combination/oily skin.
I also like that I can use it as a touch up powder and it doesn't look cakey. I use the clinique powder brush; sometimes when I'm doing my makeup before I go out I like to use this only on my "T" section.
Tips: Sometimes I use a dry or a slightly wet beauty blender to press it more in to my skin.
I love the feel of this product going on , it has a great all over cover and lasts all day. I use a BB cream underneath.
