I used this brand of nail varnish and their gel line too when I worked in beauty therapy. It is supposed to be for professionals to use not the general public. This product gets points for having extracts of jojoba oil vitamin E and keratin in it however when I use this I do not think it had this modification. Some of the colours were a but thicker than others so the viscosity varied. They dried faster than others and lasted fairly well but the description suggests 7 days which does not work for everyone. The brush is okay not to hard to work with. The shade range seems to have changed and expanded since I used it. The difference of this product is it claims to have a built in base coat so you do not put a base coat under neath the nail polish. This can cause your nails to get stained with colour for example if you got red your nails might become stained yellow with out a base coat underneath. The plus is it makes your service and drying time faster so can be a time money and energy saver. It is a decent product but costly.

CND Vinylux nail polish Review
CND Vinylux nail polish Vinylux Weekly Colour Polish is a uniquely designed system. Exposure to natural light secures the ProLight technology, creating an enduring, long-lasting polish. While ordinary polishes become brittle and deteriorate over time, Vinylux dries naturally to create a flawless finish and strengthens its resistance to chips over time.
Reviews
I absolutely love having painted nails but chipped nails really do my head in. I have tried a shellac nail polish before and while the wear was fantastic not practical for me to reapply all the time so gel long wearing nail polish is where its at for me.
I picked up the CND vinylux nail polish in the colour cake pop, in the bottle it looks like a very light white based pink. This nail polish bottle is a little bit sleeker looking and the brush is quite a bit smaller than I had imagined (I think im used to the Sally Hansen brushes) I was a little concerned by the brush that maybe it would be more on the streaky side.
I prepped my nails (buffed and filed) before painting. The consistency of this nail polish was fantastic, only two coats of this colour to get a perfectly opaque colour with no streaks – magic ! and I finished off with the Weekly Vinylux top coat. Even though the brush was quite small it was very easy to use. The finished colour is a very opaque white based pink (quite a chalky type colour) its not a soft pink at all its quite a cool pink tone erring more to the side of a cool lilac in some lights. I absolutely loved this colour – it may not be for everyone but this is one of the best colour finds I have had – Love !!!
Drying time was also very quick maybe between 5-10 minutes for the whole process so this was a mega bonus as im always quick to touch it too soon or find something I need to do that moment and ruin my polish.
Now to the longetivity test - my normal day consists of something like gym, work in an office on a computer all day , home walk the dog and im always doing some sort of housework and we have a never ending pile of dishes so while my hands don’t get as strenous workout as some they definitely get a fair bit in their day. I got to day 4 before any sort of chip appeared and this was on the inside corner of my thumb, so nothing to major. It really lasted me a solid week before I wanted to take this off and start again but truthfully if your not super pedantic about a few little chips you could easily keep wearing. For me this is more than enough I like to change up my colours so I don’t really need anything more than a week.
It was just as easy to remove as it was to apply with a just a normal acetone free nail polish remover. I will definitely be buying more of this little beauties and would highly recommend these.
CND is a popular brand when doing alot of Nails and trying Vinylux was just another great product, I tried these when getting my nails done at a training institute and so so happy that i had to purchase a couple for myself.
So kind of a normal nail polish bottle I mean nothing fancy clear so that the shade can be seen with the black writing and also have the shade name on the bottom of the bottle too, Shades, there are so many which is great they have bascially any colour to suit any mood and just something to suit everyone.
Formula is great, its not too runny but its not thick and gluggy either, it has the normal brush that you expect in a nail polish and it makes application easy and normally can cover the entire nail plate in the 3 brush stroke which is great, as advised they say do 2 layer of colours and the colours come out stunning, this range even has their own base and top coat which comes in a black bottle.
I found this product does last! its so good maybe i didn't quite get the 7 days out of it but it was longer lasting than alot of other enamels I have tried, I also do alot with my hands so that could explain alot aswell.
Overall, Highly recommend to everyone to try, cost can be a issue but when you are getting an amazing product it is worth it, I will happily use it for many years to come.
I have used CND in the colour Hot Chilis for the last 13 years- it was a staple red in my collection, I had a brief affair recently with another shimmery red but it didn't work out so well and I went out and picked up Hot Chilis again but this time it's the Vinylux formula. I picked it up at my local Life Pharmacy. *** recent observation*** it says no base coat required but it stains my nails terribly- I guess you take the good with the bad!
It states it lasts 7 days but unfortunately with my nails in their terrible condition it lasted about 5 before it started to show signs of wear. Considering all other regular polishes only last 24 hours in me before chipping this is still very good.
The formula is a great consistency- it's easy to get an even, thin coat painted on and two coats gives a rich, even colour. The nail polish odour is average strength- I have used other polishes that have a much stronger, nose hair burning odour. I hope to get a few more of these, I might dare to say it could be my favorite nail polish.
Had a manicure at the beauty salon, and this nail polish was what they used. There is a wide range of colours, and all of them very pretty. The staff put two coats on and then also a top coat. Each coat only took a few minutes to dry. However I find the nail polish doesn't stay on very well. After my manicure, I got a 10 minutes makeover. And then a 10 minutes drive home. By the time I got home, half of the nail polish on two of my nails (one on each hand) had already come off!! And that's all three coats of polish!! And then within the next hour (during which all I did was sit on the couch and watch tv), bits of polish had started to come off the other nails as well. In the end I had to take all of the polish off and use my regular OPI nail polish, which stays on for at least a week with only one coat. This is one brand that I will definitely not use or recommend.
I loved the colours and the fact that hey call them "weekly polish" gives me the impression it should stay on at least 5 days, but I didn't find it any better than the nail polishes from $2 shops. Yes they hVe amazing colours and they do dry pretty quick which I found a bonus. I also found the whole nail polish would just peel off like a fake nail :(
Tips: Make sure you use top coat over the edges to help make it last longer
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE CND.
I'm currently in the process of replacing all my current polishes with this brand. They have a fantastic colour range, very fast drying and last sooo long. On my toes I found it would not budge. Plus having the base and colour in one skips a step and makes application easier. I already turn all my friends onto this product. I love love love it!
Tips: Cap the ends of your nails by using a small amount of polish on the brush and running it on the edge of your nails. This helps to prevent the tips from chipping!!
I'm HARD on my hands, nail polish for me never lasts, I normally get one day with a pretty mani but by day two there's normally chips left right and centre. I have previously used CND Shellac but I now work in an industry where I can't wear polish at work so polish I can't remove at home doesn't work for me but I was really excited when I found out about the Vinylux range.
I attended a Girls Night Out where free manicures were on offer using the Vinylux polish. I was so impressed with the results that I since have bought 4 of my own Vinylux polishes and the top coat. Why was I impressed? Firstly the fact that it was a long-wearing polish which doesn't require any special lights or tools was perfect as I just don't have the time or money for that. It relies purely on the specially formulated top coat for it's longevity.
I found the formula of the polish was thicker than standard nail polishes but I still used two coats of the polish as instructed, followed by one coat of top coat. Because of the consistency of the polish each coat dried very quickly in only a few minutes.
How well did it last though? It claims to last 7 days, on me I normally get to around day four before the polish begins wearing away and receding from the tips. For me this is fantastic wear-time from an at-home polish as I really am hard on my hands.
I've already recommended this polish to others and I will be adding more to my collection as they're much more affordable than a salon-mani!
