I have been using this product since I was 15 years old and it has always bee my go-to bronzer. As I am very fair i find that I only need to apply this very lightly to see a glowing effect. I use it on my face for bronzing and contour and as an all over body bronzer for a special occasion.
Tips: Swipe the brush in a circular motion and tap off excess product to get the best even distribution.
I use this product as a bronzer and contour. it really works to just add a slight glow to your face when you're having a down day. I do wish that there was a slightly light shade of it though because even the light shade is quite dark.
I have used (and still do) thin Lizzy - not as an all over bronzer but to add a little colour to the face and neck area and as an eye shadow. I am impressed with the bronzer but not the mineral foundation as it leaves a 'dry and powdery' appearance. The eye pencil is one of my favourites as it is very soft and gentle on application but the lip gloss is the one product I personally think is dreadful - as it is very sticky.
I have never tried to use this as an all over product, I know that it says you can use it for everything but I've never really tried. I just put it over the top of other make up as a bit of spruce up and a bit more colour. Give good coverage and makes you look tanned and awake when you're a bit tired or pale. Also works pretty well as an eyeshadow if you just want a hint of colour.
Thin Lizzy claims to be the one stop make up shop for all your make up needs. Blusher, bronzer, eye shadow, face framer, contour and lip colour! First of all i am a fan of this product however, only used as a bronzer and occasionally an eye shadow... I have never tried to use it all at once for everything however wouldnt it make your face just look all the same colour?
I really like the coverage this gives me though. It does a good job at covering all of my pesky freckles i dislike so much.
You have to be really careful when applying this to your face as if you use too much you may end up looking a tad orange!
the ad also suggests that you can use thin lizzy as an all over body tan but come on now who has time to sit their and use the little brush in little strokes all over your whole body! aint no body got time fo dat!!
all in all i would keep using thin lizzy and suggest it to others but keep it as a bronzer...
Tips: Dont apply too much as it will turn you orange!
Personally I think this product is a bit overrated - the ads that always run make it look incredible, but I've never seen the results they brag about. Even the lightest powder has a heavy orange tint, so you have to apply it really carefully to avoid demarcation or looking like you've fake tanned your face! Because of this, you can only really get a light coverage at best, and one that doesn't look too great. It is alright as a bronzer, I think the tones are too warm for a contour and too orange for a blush. All in all it's 6 average products in one, you'd be better off buying individual contours, blushes etc. to fit your skin tone.
Tips: Apply lightly, and not too the whole face!
I decided to give this a go after seeing all the hype on Tele and what not, and I had just run out of the foundation I was using. I got a two for one deal online and gave it a go. The coverage is good like it shows on tv, I found the colour just didn't match my skin and I looked like I'd had a really bad fake tan. I stuck with it and tried different application styles etc, after about a week my skin broke out in heaps of spots and black heads so I called it quits with this product.
For some reason I couldnt make this product work on my skin, It just made me look really brown and shiny, not a full coverage or anything that resembled natural on me :( I tried doing it lightly, I tried building it. The case is nice, it smells nice and I paid $10 so not a huge loss. I just wish It worked on me the way it does on the ads.
I purchased Thin Lizzy when I was battling bad bad acne! It was NOT the best decision I've ever made!!
The powder itself seems to cover well, however it is quite orange and not natural at all. However, about 20 minutes after applying the foundation I had to wash it off as my skin was so painful and stinging and then the next day I woke with the WORST acne I've ever seen.
It irritated my skin so badly! :( I would avoid this powder! The lip gloss is also WAY too sticky (like hair gets stuck constantly sticky).
Tips: Avoid if you have sensitive skin!!
