OPI Matte Top Coat

I love the look of nail art but unfortunately my skill level doesn't quite match my Pinterest board ideals! After seeing an awesome matte mani on Beauty Review I really wanted to give it a try myself so when OPI top coats were on special at Farmers I had to pick it up.

The formula applied just like any standard OPI Polish, not too runny. The brush is a good size, three strokes is enough to cover a nail evenly. I like that with the Matte top coat one coat was all I needed to transform my glossy nails to matte perfection. The final effect was chic and stylish and I found it helped extend the life of my polish another day without chipping which was great.

Highly recommend this top coat for any nail polish lover as its so easy to use with any colour.

i love opi nail polishes so i decided to try this one out to see if it would really turn my nail polish matte and i loved the results. i applied this polish to a black polish and in seconds it turned from glossy to matte. i however noticed that it chipped alot faster than just having normal polish on but they may be because the black i used was a cheap polish and not a opi, so next time i will try this out with a opi polish and see if the results turn out different. if you like matte nails i recommend this product for you as it would be cheaper to buy one polish to do the job instead of buying lots of matte polishes

I don't personally own this OPI polish but my sister does and she let me use it. I think this is a really awesome top coat, especially for those people who love their pastel colours as this makes almost any colour turn pastel. I prefer matte over a shiny polish as i think it makes your nails look better, but i guess others may have a different opinion/perspective. If i find this nail polish i will probably buy one for myself as i think it is a really good top coat :)

I love this product! I may be a little biased because I naturally prefer matte to any shine or metallic. It makes every colour better. The only issue I have is that it takes a while to dry, even though it looks like it's dry the minute you put it on!

This matte top coat is cool on some polishes, not that great on others! The idea of a matte top coat is awesome, but it just wasn't quite what I was hoping for! It didn't work too hugely well as a top coat, either, found that the nail polish chipped quite quickly after application. However, it has a nice texture and goes on smoothly and easily. Some polishes I put it on, it had a really cool effect, but most, it just looked kinda weird and didn't turn out as I had hoped!

I bought these the along with some liquid sand polishes because I wanted a super matte look. This works really well and I can do so many nail designs with this. I'm a total nail fanatic and I've always loved OPI polishes. This one adds a subtle classy look and the matte trend is huge right now. The lasting power is pretty good especially if I wear a coat of clear under the matte. This is great especially if you've loads of polishes already and just want to change it up a bit.

I love this top coat and prefer it to just buying matte polishes - with over 300 bottles of polish already in my collection I love that I can use this over any of them. I find it works best on very dry base colours - so perhaps if you have been wearing a glossed colour for a few days adding a coat of this would make your mani feel fresh again. This is a really great idea for an easy way to wear something different on your nails. Recommended.

This nail polish is fantastic at what it needs to do!! It works so well and gives a plain old nail polish a chic new twist. Worked really well for the first few months I had it but found that sometimes it leaves little white spots on my nails, but does still do the job.. Would definitely recommend!

I bought this in a top coat combo pack, and applied it over black first. I didn't like how if you get something oily (like hair product etc) on them, they sorta just look shiny again. I tried the second time with a green and this came out better so apparently it's just dependant on what you do and the colours you add underneath!

I rushed to my nearest pharmacy as soon as I discovered this product was on the market as I have always admired matte look nails -especially black- and was not disappointed!

The price was typical of OPI nail polishes, around $20 which I have always found quite high to be paying for a nail polish, hence why I only own two other colours, but I was so keen to try matte nails that I bought it anyway.

I applied it to a black nail polish (not OPI) first and was not disappointed with the result! It goes on glossy and dries matte in 10-30 seconds. It is easy to apply (just like a normal polish), but can be hard to completely cover the nail polish underneath.

The downside was that it didn't really seem to work like a normal topcoat. I found that the polish chipped off faster than it did when I used a normal topcoat so would only last a day or two at most. I considered putting a normal topcoat over top but didn't want this to counteract the matte effect so decided against that.
