Well, it seems like the beauty market is undecided on what a CC cream is, exactly. I would describe this particular one as essentially a foundation. It has very high coverage and a thick consistency, almost sticky which is from the high SPF. It's awesome that it has such a high SPF but unfortunately that comes with a compromise in formula.
There is a better shade selection in this than in cheaper CC/BB creams, and I use the shade 'light'. They don't come with choices in undertone, however, and 'light' leans a little pink for my skin tone. This can be evened out with a yellowy powder, but that's a bit much effort for me.
I recently got a tester of this product, and went back to purchase it. When i'm at work I get quite red and patchy cheeks that gives me quite an uneven skintone, I usually look quite hot and bothered! I don't have time (or the effort really) to do a full foundation and make up every day, and I don't want to look all dolled up just to go to work.
I tried this product on it's own in and applying it with my fingers I could tell straight away it was making my skintone more even, similar to a foundation but without full heavy coverage, and it's VERY hydrating. I found on it's own it was rather dewy, so I matted it out and made it set even longer with a powder over the top.
It gives me a perfect coverage to hide my red cheeks, dark undereyes, make me look more 'awake', but without wearing a full face of make up. It just looks like flawless skin.
A winning combination in my book! I've also then added a mascara, bit of blush and mascara to have the 'no make up, make up' look.
Tips: Try one or two testers to get your colour right. 'Very light' ever so slighty washes me out, and 'light' made it look like a bad tinted moisturiser if I missed a spot rubbing it in.
