BH Cosmetics was a huge craze for a while and I saw so many great reviews around and my friends were buying it. So, I had to have a palette for myself. I bought this powdered palette from makeup.co.nz for $26, which I thought was a bargain for 6 decent sized shades and I thought it was perfect to learn contouring as it had everything for it. The shades themselves can be use for any skin tones and very natural looking. It’s also cruelty free.
I applied my foundation and concealer as usual before using the palette. I just used an angled brush for easy contouring, a blush brush for the blush and a base shadow brush for the highlighting, especially for the bridge of the nose. I found the palette powder to be very light, so I had to go over it few times for it to show up on my face. I didn’t like the white highlighter, as I didn’t like the way it looked on my tanned skin, but the one that’s more of a skin tone colour worked better.
It’s a great palette for starting off with, but it’s not the best product I’ve come across to use as a blush, contour and highlighter. I recommend it to anyone who’s looking for affordable makeup as it does the job.
A good range of shades in this palette, as I have qutie fair skin it's a bit too dark for me and I have to be quite light handed. All shades are matte. The palette is quite large, I don't travel with this because of it but you do get quite good value for money! BH cosmetics is a brand I always go back to.
Tips: Make sure to start quite light handed and build up the product, make sure your skin and brushes are dry before use to get smooth application.
