Designer Brands, you've done it again! I have the DB longwear 24 hour foundation and it is fabulous, comparable and in many ways better than Estee Lauder double wear IMO. I think this one is similar in finish to Nars Sheer glow, and again it is comparable yet a fraction of the price!
The packaging is the same as the longwear foundation, a quite sleek frosted glass bottle with a more cheap looking black lid. I love the fact that this has a pump, and find that one and a half to two pumps is enough to do my whole face depending on the coverage I desire.
This foundation takes a little bit of work to blend into the skin, but has some working time for you to get it to settle correctly. I like to use my fingertips to apply, then finish off with a damp beauty blender. I find that this sits really nicely in my largish pores with a smoothing primer underneath, although this does tend to highlight peach fuzz to a certain extent. Also if you dont set with powder around the eyes this can settle into fine lines. The finish is definately dewy and glowy and a teeny bit tacky to touch. Because of this, I like to set it down with powder in order for it to last all day on me. The coverage of this is about medium, much like Nars Sheer Glow. I love the way this feels on my skin also, quite light and with a very youthful glowing finish.
Another thing I absolutely love about DB is that their classic ivory shade is geniunely Ivory, and is a perfect match for me in winter. I am such a fan of their foundations and if I needed to pare my collection way down and could only afford budget foundations I would quite happily settle with this and the DB longwear foundation- and I have tried dozens of foundations!
I actually buy a few DB products some are actually awesome. I only tried this foundation once and accidentally got it several shades too dark! I ended up using it up but mixing a pump in with other foundations, It actually was quite a nice lightweight consistency. I find the colour oxidises and changes once pumped though. I should probably give it another go and see if it is nice in my proper colour but unfortunately, I am always wanting to try new products to blow me away. It was quite a matte finish but didn't dry out my skin as I expected for a cheaper foundation.
