Pretty little pots of glitter, that are out of the realm of normal colours you find when looking at glitters for the face. These pots are 4g of high glittery shine goodness. The packaging is simply an acrylic pot with black lid, on top sits in pink a moon crescent and stars, with the Lime Crime written logo, very simple and chic but yet unmistakeably Lime Crime.
Unlike other glitters I have owned, I find that these glitters are less fussy and far less messy to handle. Undo the lid to find just 3 tiny holes to allow the glitter to be shaken up into the lid. I personally use a glitter glue on the lids (see other review on that product) but to place the glitter from the pot to the lids, I use a small brush assigned my glitter brush, that I dampen slightly before even attempting to pick up the glitter as this helps the glitter get on the brush without falling off everywhere and making a mess. Occasionally when I’m bored or comfortable at my makeup application to be bothered to get the brush wet, I’ll use my finger to apply, both methods are fine and get the same results.
Once applied the glitter is glitter, so if you haven’t put something on your lids to help it adhere its going to flake slightly off and land over your cheeks and cleavage, and clothes so always prime your lids I’ve learnt the hard way. Building up the glitter is easy if you go steady and lightly, even with a glue primer on your lids its best to have some tissue handy to catch any drifting particulars as if they land on your lashes or get into your eye you’ll have a bad night for sure, or day if it’s a day look your trying to get.
Taurus: Chameleon type colour that takes the colours of brown, orange, purple and gold, I love this one the lids then edged with chocolate nude colours into a smoky look, its fab for a slight grunge glitter
Capricorn: The green glitter, if you have ever seen Murder on the Dancefloor music video by Sophie Eliis Baxter then you know how awesome green glitter is, especially on blue, grey and green eyes!! This green is made up of several different shades to give a very high glam glitter on those bright moments
Ophiuchus: If you’re a fan of glitter this is the Holy Grail shade of it, it’s soft white/silver but has high reflective particulars that produce a rainbow of colour on your lids when the light hits it.
When used with a glue/primer the glitter is long lasting, but let’s be realistic it is still glitter, it won’t be smudge proof, if you wipe your eye you’re going to get glitter on it and then on everything else you touch thereafter, but clean-up is easy, it washed off very easily with normal eye makeup remover.
I wouldn't re-purchase this, as I don't support the company, but just being honest this is really pretty stuff. I got it as a gift, and it's so pretty, like mermaid scales or something. It's really iridescent and changes color depending on how the light hits it. It's just generally captivating and looks amazing with my weird dull-greenish hazel eye color. Brings some life into it.
