L’Oréal True Match Plumping Tinted Serum (vault shade 'medium')

I received this plumping tinted serum to review, thanks BR. I chose the 4-5 medium shade which fortunately matched my skin tone really well. It comes in a 30ml glass bottle with a dropper lid which I had not seen before. I would have preferred a pump or plain lid, as the dropper tends to be a bit fiddly and messy. One dropper full does my whole face, so this bottle is very economical. There is no SPF in this serum, so I used a moisturiser with SPF in it first. I just used my fingers to apply, it is lightweight and easy to apply glides on.Ideal to wear on it's own or with a light dusting of powder. Blended well and my skin had an even skin tone and looked and felt hydrated and glowing and my skin felt plumped, it usually has dry patches. So apart from the dropper lid and no SPF, I think this is a very nice product and also suitable for sensitive skin. I would recommend this tinted serum.

I’ve regularly used hylauronic acid serums, and then a tinted moisturiser or bb cream over the top, so to try a product that did both with some light/medium coverage is great!

The product has a nice consistency (although runnier than expected) and goes on smoothly - it covered some of the redness is have in my cheeks and nose well.

The fragrance isn’t too over powering and smells like a serum and slightly like alcohol - i found you need to shake the bottle before use.

The product looks slightly shimmery in the bottle but goes on matte and I liked that it soaked in quickly and felt dry to touch. I like the pipe the dropper applicator, it helps with product application and not using too much product.

You get a lot of coverage out of a small drop, so I think the bottle will last me a while even with daily use.

Overall I really liked how this looked on my skin and I can’t wait to see with further use how the hylauronic acid improves my skin texture and hydration.

Would I recommend it to a friend? Yes I would, I think it does what it claims and my skin looked dewy and pretty after using.

First off the packaging is lovely, a glass bottle with a pipette dropper. You can see the lovely colour through the bottle. It has hyaluronic acid in it and I'm a big fan of that! My colour was light to medium. When I opened the bottle, unfortunately there is so much product on the dropper that you don't need to squeeze it up the pipette, you can just wipe it off on to your face or foundation brush. The colour match was quite good though I thought I could see demarcation lines around my chin area. The product itself is the gorgeously glowy and hydrating on the skin and is easy to blend. It gives the skin a gorgeous hydration and feels like a great skin care product but the cover was very light and transfered very easily. It was very dewy, and looks so soft on the skin but for me, it was more like a very lovely tinted moisturiser than a foundation. As skincare, it's delicious though as a foundation unfortunately, it just did not do its job. Really wanted to love this!

The first time I tried this I got compliments on how good my skin looked! I've never had this from wearing any other foundation. It looks natural, covers any redness I have without looking like I've just caked on a whole lot of foundation. It doesn't crease in the fine lines I have, which I was concerned about, so it passes that test. This has become my go to, goodbye other foundations!

This foundation is incredibly hydrating. Like seriously your skin feels amazing after use - how often can you say that about a base product?!

I love the dropper bottle format, it fits in with the serum angle, but also is practical for not over-dispensing the product.

It goes on like a dream, I use a beauty blender, but I reckon you'd do just as well with a brush, or in a pinch, your fingers.

I found the shade a close enough match, it definitely blended well and evenly even around those tricky areas like the nose and jawline.

I love that this has hyaluronic acid in it - its my favourite skincare ingredient and knowing your foundation is boosting your skin is a great perk.

Mostly I'd say this is a foundation more than a tinted serum, and as a foundation it checks the boxes - even base, radiant finsh, lasts the day and is affordable. What's not to love?!

Ok, so I totally expected this to be a foundation that was a bit more hydrating than most...I mean what the heck is a 'tinted serum' right?

This product walks the line between foundation and serum beautifully. It seems to absorb into the skin, which a foundation wouldn't do. But equally it sits atop the skin, creating an even base - a serum wouldn't do that.

As a foundation this is blendable and buildable. Its light to medium coverage, smoothing and blurring imperfections more than full on covering them. It doesn't set into wrinkles and looks as dewy and fresh at the end of the day as it does at the beginning.

The shade match was pretty spot on as it isn't full coverage there's room to blend and play. Which is a relief because the shade range is just 9 shades.

The serum aspect of the formula is strangely lovely - your skin feels moisturised once you've taken your make up off for the day and after a couple of weeks of mostly daily use, I think my skin looks good sans tinted serum too. Skin feels plumper and softer.

I love this tinted serum and would happily repurchase. What can we blend with serum next L'Oreal?!

Oh my life, I think I have just found the best foundation for my skin! This product is fantastic if you have dry/dehydrated skin like mine. It has added hyaluronic acid in it for hydration and plumping skin. Which is fab if you have a few life lines on your face. It leaves a luminous glow on the skin, and has a dropper for application, so you won't waste it. It goes on quite sheer, sort of like a bb cream, but 10 times better. Blends in well to the skin and is really smooth and you can feel it hydrating your skin instantly. I added a bit of powder on one day to see how that felt and it was great. I would perhaps add this at night if I was going out after work, just for a bit more coverage. If any of you like a lighter coverage, but a product that still covers blemishes and gives you hydration with a glow then this is the product for you. I will definitely be re-purchasing this as I just love it!

I have fallen in love with this product which was quite a surprise! It goes on flawlessly and feels so lightweight on your skin. It gives just enough coverage to even out my skintone and the hyaluronic acid made such a difference. It make my skin look so nice and glowy and definitely helped my skin to retain mositure.

Depending on the day, my skin can handle foundation one day and next it'll handle matte foundation, but this applied so smoothly on my skin with amazing coverage. I'll definitely purchase this after my bottle is done.
