I bought this together with the ambient lighting palette off Mecca Cosmetics. I absolutely love mineral foundations and loved the idea of this one with all its goodies and skin breathing properties.
Packaging on this is beautiful, a classy sleek bronze compact that opens up to reveal the foundation, sponge and mirror on the inside. the top part of the compact is super clever and can completely pivot around so its just a mirror or it can stand up etc.
I tried this first off using the sponge that was included damp this actually was a terrible idea and really didnt work for me it just wouldnt pick up the product so I wouldnt suggest doing this.
It tried using a khabuki brush that I often use for my loose mineral powders, I made sure as I do with all makeup applications but especially for mineral powders that I moisturise and prime.
The Khabuki brush picks up product easily theres a lot less mess than sometimes you get with mineral foundations theres hardly any fallout and I buffed into my skin in circular motions. The texture is very soft and it applied really nicely. It is a light medium coverage - you can easily build this up without it looking cakey or powdery. It covers my redness and uneven skin tone but still lets my freckles show through which I actually really like. It didnt totally cover my under eye circles but it does sort of blur them and often I find thats enough as sometimes I feel more product can draw attention to them.
It felt super and lovely on my skin, it wasnt heavy or cakey and I did feel like my skin can breathe.
I had no breakouts or anything with this product. It wasnt super long lasting on the skin although I would have got a good 6 hours, but you can easily touch this up with the sponge include (which is really all that sponge is good for :) ).
I did also try to apply this with the sponge but I dont feel like it gives the best application on me the brush was far better.
Was super easy to remove with my normal oil cleanser.
All in all I really liked this product for an everyday lightweight low maintenance look.
