e.l.f Under Eye Concealer & Highlighter

Maybe I got the wrong colour for me but this did not blend well on my skin. The concealer was too light for my skin. And the highlighter would come across looking scaley and making my skin look dry. It was cheap and I got it as a quick fix to my absent highlighter problem. Good to have as a back up

This was the first concealer I ever tried and at the time I didn't think it was too bad. Since then I've tried many different concealers and I've realised that this e.l.f. concealer did hardly anything. I purchased this many years ago, before highlighters were a big deal like they are today. So I didn't use the highlighter side of this very often, but from what I remember it only had a very slight shimmer to it. Sometimes I would use it to try and brighten my under-eye area, but it never did anything that noticeable.

Both the concealer and the highlighter were very thin and almost watery in consistency. It almost feels like it should be marketed as a BB cream with light coverage, not a concealer that is meant to be more full coverage. Because it was so thin, it was always very easy to blend into my skin. I used this concealer on my under-eye area to cover a small sun spot and any darkness caused by tiredness. No matter how much I applied it was never able to cover the sun spot up. The only thing it did was add a bit of colour to my skin. My foundation did a better job of concealing my skin than this concealer did.

The price of this was very good for a product where you get both a highlighter and a concealer. But this is one of those situations where you get what you pay for. It just wasn't an effective product so I wouldn't buy it again or recommend it to a friend.

I found that the highlighter was the best part of this. I used it with a powder highlighter and it gave me a glow that you would need sunglasses to look at, but the concealer creased. and was not very nice to wear at all.

I actually really liked this product, it's so affordable and does the job. I got good coverage from it and the highlight was cool. I had no problem with my eyes reacting to it what so ever.

I purchased this on a whim after seeing lots of stuff on highlighting and since I needed a concealer i thought I'd give it a go. I liked that it had a concealer and highlight in the same tube takes up less space. It's pretty cheap which was another bonus. I didn't actually find the product did very much for my make up and has since started collecting dust :( over all I found it ok but nothing to brag about

I bought this product a while back thinking, 'what do I have to lose?' E.l.f products are cheap for sure, but I was really impressed with the quality of the highlighter end of the product; a nice, non-coloured shimmery liquid, that blended well into foundation to create a natural glow. Many more expensive products seem to make this claim, but just end up looking like glitter on your cheekbones! The concealer end of the product was a good colour for me, but didn't blow me away with it's coverage abilities. However, it didn't tend to look cakey either, so I can't really complain. Packaging wise, I did find it annoying that I couldn't get everything out of the container with the wand, but it was fairly small and easy to store. On the whole, it's probably worth trying out if you want an affordable, natural makeup look.

During my hunt for cruelty-free/vegan products I came across this little cutie sitting in KMart. For a measly $6.99 how could I say no?

The concealer end of this is packed with a generous amount of product, with a handy little applicator which disperses the product well. It was the perfect shade for my very pale skin, and great at lightening the under eye area. I would say that this concealer loses points for its blemish-covering abilities, however. It doesn't do a very good job at that, leaving blemishes quite red and prominent without the help of foundation.

As for the highlighting end - I don't think I'll be using this end much! It's more of a shimmer gloss, and not really something I use as part of my makeup routine.

I had this on my watchlist on Trade Me and my partner surprised me and purchased it. I've never used a concealer before so this was my first experience trying it. I've heard about Elf having it's highs and lows before but this did not deter me from giving it a try.

This concealer comes in a double ended tube. One side is concealer and the other is higlighter. The outside of this tube has Elf on it as well as the highlighter and concealer written on it so you can tell which side it is. I chose medium. The consistency is like a liquid foundation. The highlighter reminds me of a moisturiser consistency but liquid.

When I apply this I dot it across my under eye and make a line down from my inner eye down beside my nose. I do the same thing on the other side. The highlighter, I dot this down my nose , put more on my forehead light dots as well as my chin and upper lip. I blend this all out with my real techniques sponge.

I found the concealer to last me all day long. I did experience slight creasing on the outer part of my under eye. As for the opposite eye, there was no creasing at all. The highlighter for me lacks shimmer. I tried to place emphasis with this but it failed for me.

Price wise I think it is affordable. So far I've managed to get three applications from it. There's still plenty of product remaining in the tube. I did enjoy this concealer but not the highlighter because it didn't make my face look highlighted. If your after something affordable definitely give this a try.

This was super cheap and I wanted a double ended conceal/highlight so it was the perfect option. Knowing that elf can be a bit hit and miss with some products and reading some unhappy reviews, I decided to take the risk anyway. When it came I was somewhat on the fence about it. CONCEALER: The concealer end seemed to have waaay more product than the highlight end. It's a very runny cream with a consistency like a thick liquid. Really easy to use the little brush and dot/dab onto my face. It doesn't seem like the most hygienic thing ever but I suppose it's a small tube so it'll probably run out before the bacteria festers in the tube (hopefully). The actual concealing power was pretty good and I found two thin coatings with some drying time in between plus powder and liquid foundation conceals all my bumps and red spots. Lasting power was pretty average I couldn't really tell since I've never worn it on its own. HIGHLIGHTER: This end of the tube I'm slightly less enthusiastic about. When I opened it the brush was half dry and had a tiny dry looking bit of the white cream/paste on it. Not sure if it's dried out or the consistency is really that bad. It looks very glittery yet sheer when I spread it out and I've been using it on my brow bone and in the inner corners of my eyes. It blends out to a really nice shimmering sparkle like the ELF shimmering whip. I just wished it was maybe a bit more liquid and had more product in the tube. A pretty decent item for under $5 but I'd be a little hesitant to buy it again. A good product if you're experimenting with makeup.

I was super excited to try this as the concealer had swatched almost perfect to my skin tone on my hand, but I was super disappointed.

The concealer was super runny and had less coverage than my Garnier BB Cream and the highlighter was just a white paste with tonnes of glitter in it.

I have only ever used the highlighter again, and that was literally to make my arms and chest all glittery when I went out.

Only purchase if you like glitter.
