Deluxe Sample (used for at least 8 applications and still heaps left in the tube)
I purchased as a Christmas gift to myself the Charlotte Tilbury Skin Goddess gift set from Beautylish and inside was a tube of this wonderglow, so very tempted to fork out for the full size tube now and knowing me I probably will.
Charlotte Tilbury packaging is so glamorous, and Hollywood chic which shows it's luxury status that you want when the products are so expensive. Even the deluxe sample of this product the packaging is perfectly replicated in mini form to it's full sized counterpart, in a hue of rose golds and pink.
Inside the liquid is a shimmering silky pearl pink gold that absorbs quickly into the skin and doesn't leave any sticky residue, applied as on top of a primer or in place of a primer. It doesn't react to any foundation that I apply over it be it powder, liquid or cream.
It keeps my skin looking bright, with a hint of a glow that looks like it comes from within, makes any highlighter placed over the top shimmer brighter and in general gives a Hollywood style healthy glow to my pale complexion.
I was a very good girl and didn't buy any beauty products for over a month. That is a good effort for me so for being so good I decided to splurge! Ok I had to tell myself I had been so good not spending anything to justify the hefty price tag. Because at around $110 she ain't cheap!!
Packaging wise this is pretty simple in a clear plastic tube that sits on the Rose gold lid. The tube has a pointed tip so it's easy to control how much comes out.
The cream looks stunning a very light caramel colour with golden shimmer, lots of golden shimmer. It's about the same consistency as moisturiser.
After I moisturise I apply a small amount to my face and it looks nice, I start to get quite excited because I thought It would give me a glow from under my foundation and it did..... In the wrong way. It highlighted every single flaw in my skin I looked like I had aged 10 years. It clung to my fine lines and made my skin dry looking and cakey, I already have dry skin so I am always careful of where I apply highlighter as to not accentuate my lines but this woah a real no go I felt so depressed after I had finished my foundation I wanted to scrub it all off. I waited a few hours then went and had another inspection and it was still dry looking and my foundation was looking streaky so I had to take it off, it was horrible. I had such high hopes for this cream and I am so disappointed I think it if you had very young, line free, problem free skin then yes this would probably work a treat. But for this lined up ol dry skin it's a nightmare.
