My beautiful friend was doing an order from the ABH website so I decided to jump in and picked up this product in the shade Madison. It's a lovely pink, almost the same color as the lip rating here on BR! (almost!)
The packaging is what I'm used to I guess, a clear tube, a gold lid and a doe foot applicator. I would hope it reached the bottom but I'm not sure. The formula is creamy and applies opaque with one swipe.
It dries down matte but it's not quite kiss proof, and I don't think it claims to be either so that's good. I found it lasted all day on me as well, so I'm stoked! It's a really good formula and if they had more shades I liked I'd definitely buy more!
As one of the more expensive liquid lipsticks on the market I was expecting these to blow my mind, but as much as they are good there is nothing that isn't seen from a whole vast of brands that offer this product for equal or less cost.
Packaging is very cute with two tone metal cap, the application is easy and it doesn't dry too quickly so you can manipulate it to evenly cover your lips without the need for a liner to shape your lips. Dry time is a little on the slow side but if you are not in a rush it isn't a problem.
Pure Hollywood is a pretty pink nude shade that looks great on my pale skin, and would think it would suit almost all shades as it has an underlying warmth that brightness the face.
Vintage is a plumy red purple that has a great opaqueness and even tone.
Lasting quite a while on the lips, it doesn't break down unless you talk, drink or eat, then it does pull away from the inner part of the lips first in a flaky manner then erodes out towards the outside leaving a rim around the lips and puckered effect. I counter this by applying a clear gloss especially over Pure Hollywood that seems to wear down faster then vintage.
Would I repurchase, probably not I see no need to get any other shades as these 2 that I tried haven't wowed me enough to constantly put them in my rotation of products and last time I wore other than today was probably 6 months ago.
