This is an effective lip pencil. For me its is long lasting, not dry like some can be, and is perfect with my Max Factor lipstick. Both are my everyday go-to hand bag essentials. The pencil sharpens well, doesn't blunt easily and isn't breaking off which is a real plus. I am altogether very happy with this product. A simple lip liner which works well, what more can I say!

Max Factor Colour Elixir Lip Liner Review

Tips: Keep one for spare!
I have this lip liner in pink petal and am really enjoying using it. The liner gives a defined precise line and doesn't bleed at all. I like to fill in my lips with this liner under nude lipsticks as it really increases the longitivity of lipstick on the lips. Like most lip liners it is a bit drying so I wouldn't use alone if filling in your entire lip.
I have repurchased this liner in the dark brown shade several times and it seems to be a great match for a lot of the dark brown and burgundy colours I love to wear.
It's a straightforward non-retractable pencil, but it seems to sharpen up nicely. I loathe pencils that disintegrate into splinters and break tips during the sharpening process!
It gives a precise line and seems to last well without bleeding. It doesn't ever seem to feel drying and the same pencil lasts a long time.
I haven't found a perfect pencil colour match for every single one of my favourite lipsticks in this range, but I'll happily buy it whenever I can find a match.
I really liked this lip liner! Can't remember what the name of the shade was but it was a dark red/purple colour. I'm only giving it a lower score because it doesn't having "conditioning" colour and it is not retractable. It was really soft and highly pigmented and a good colour to wear under MAC Dark Side for example. It was slightly drying though so definitely one to just use to line your lips - not fill it all in. If you're not too fused about having to sharpen it (I'm just lazy) then this a good lip liner to try out :)
Tips: Don't leave the lid off! Mine dried out.
I was pleasantly surprised to receive this with my Max Factor Lipstick trial, and looked forward to giving it a go. I had never used a lipstick liner before, and was not too sure why I would need one, but it turns out you do, if you don't want your lipstick to slide off your lips. I like the pencil design, and the pencil itself is quite slim-lined. If you need to sharpen this you would need a small sharpener.. The texture is creamy yet light, and there is no smell that goes along with using this. Using this was super easy, and it really did make a difference to the longevity of my lipstick, it stayed where it should, and gave a great base rather than bare lips. I will continue to use this as it is able to be used on any skin tone, under any lipstick, and it has changed the way I view lipstick liners.
Tips: I would put this in the fridge before sharpening to harden the tip, save on product wastage, and get an excellent sharp result.
