I bought this on a whim in Party Pink thinking it'd be a duo for Lime Crime Velvetines. The colour is beautiful and bold and actually very similar to Lime Crimes velvetine "Suede berry". It's an off red, with a hint of orange or coral. It looks incredible on, but unfortunately, Sleeks version of a liquid-to-matte lippy hasn't done it for me. It states that it doesn't cake, flake or dry out, however this is exactly what it does, and very quickly. It almost instantly feathers, and then because it is so long lasting, it's impossible to get it off and out of the creases in your lips. I tried another layer to fill in the gaps and it started caking. I've tried a good lip exfoliator, and then lip balm, and reapplying, but it still does the same thing. I wore it out to dinner once and thought I'd remove it before eating, I ended up with chunks of tissue on my lips, and then the outline of it did NOT come off at all. I had to scrape it off with my fingernails. Rather embarrassing. Too much effort for me. It's cheap, but not cheerful. I'd rather pay the money and get a better quality one.

Tips: Be very careful how and where you apply this, and try not to smear it anywhere else on your face, it's VERY pigmented and does stain skin, and once it's dry, it does not budge (which yes, is a selling point, but also very difficult to manage, especially when out and about).
My holy grail lip product! I have Velourlips, & I have Velvetines & nothing compares to these! So smooth, so matte, incredible pigment, gorgeous colours, not drying at all. I can't even find the words to describe how much I love these! Birthday Suit is my absolute favourite - it's a gorgeous dark nude & I love it! It doesn't move, flake or bleed - it's by far the best lip product I've ever tried. I only have three of the six, but I am definitely getting more from the hubby at Christmas!
I bought this in the shade Brink Pink and it's such a pretty, different shade, I love it! They are super long wearing as they dry matte so they last ages. The only thing I don't like is the feeling of having dry lips but having colour that lasts ages makes it worth it.
It goes on really easily though the brush is a bit awkward to maneuver. It dries very well and when this stuff is on it stays put. It is very drying though.
I have this in Birthday Suit which is a nice dark nude. I don't find it as drying as other liquid matte lipsticks but to me it also hasn't been as long lasting. I don't actually mind that it's not too difficult to remove and I touch up when necessary with no difficulty. The formula is really creamy and doesn't feel at all sticky when drying/dry.
Tips: Use lip balm before application so it's not too drying.
I usually love all Sleek products but this just didn't work for me. I purchased the shade petal, which looked like a really pretty light pink colour. However when I applied it to my lips I could never get it a consistent colour. It always looked very streaky, even when I tried to add another layer.
I also found it very drying and it became unbearable to wear after having it on for more than an hour. It felt like all the moisture was being sucked out of me and it made the creases in my lips very obvious. This happened even when I used lip balm before applying.
So overall I was really disappointed with this product. I really thought that I was going to love it. I wonder if the others shades might be better for me, but I don't want to waste more money to find out.
I have 2 Matte Me lip creams, in Petal and Party Pink. They are very matte. Like the Australis Velour Lips or the Limecrime Velvetines. They are long wearing and they don't budge easily!
I do find them a little too drying for my liking.
Petal is an opaque light pink. It applies nicely and dries really fast. You can build the colour up but best to do that before it dries.
Party Pink is super bright, it's definitely a party colour. I think it leans more towards being red then pink. It's colour is opaque and also dries quickly. A little goes a long way.
The packaging is nice, Sleek packaging reminds me a lot of NARS (but not quite as nice). They are applied like a lip gloss with a standard 'sponge' doffer (sp?)
I do not detect a taste or smell with these.
If your a fan of matte lip creams these would be a great item to try. I personally wouldn't buy more as they are very drying on my lips.
Tips: I suggest you remove these with something like coconut oil. Once dry they are very difficult to remove.
