e.l.f Translucent Mattifying Powder Review

Definitely not translucent so can only use a tine amount or look too orangey. It leaves quite a chalky powdery look too. Sponge that it comes with is useless, use a large brush instead, initially was excited by the $10 price but size of actual powder compared to compact size is pathetic. Do like size and shape of compact, doesn’t take a lot of room in makeup bag

This powder is not really that bad but I won't be purchasing again.

It's not really smooth and is quite powdery. it doesn't really last all day and can leave you looking a bit cakey. The packaging is quite like the Nars bronzer and blush packages but it's certainly not that sort of quality.

Does it mattify - yes, but there are much better products out there.

Sets concealer under my eyes well, I don't use it over my whole face as it washes me out slightly. Even with use only under my eyes it hasn't lasted that long, would be better if the whole thing was product because I haven't used the sponge. It does mattify extremely well, and the price is about right.

For the price this is an ok powder but I won't be purchasing again. It can look quite powdery on and I don't use the sponge provided I use a face brush. I find that after a couple of hours it has stopped working and my nose area especially is shiny or completely slid off. It is ok for the price but I'd rather spend a little more to get a better and much longer finish.

This is supposed to be translucent but it's definately not, made my face look terrible and very cakey! One of the worst powders I have used along with the Elf foundation. Very low end and would not recommend at all.

This powder is certainly mattifying exactly as it says on the packaging, and relatively long-wearing as well. I find I only have to touch up at lunch, even when I've been run off my feet at work.

What I have noticed, however is that the powder is nowhere near translucent. Thankfully it matches my skintone, but I feel sorry for all the gorgeous people out there that it doesn't!

I would 10/10 use again, but not sure if I would recommend to friends that aren't the same skin tone as me.

This was my first ever powder i used from ELF, i got it for $3 usd on iherb, i needed a powder at the time and thought why not at that price right? i thought this product was okay, it wasn't anything amazing. I defiantly would have been disappointed if i paid $10 for it at kmart in nz. It was easy to apply, i tried the sponge but it was terrible so i ended up using my RT powder brush for it instead. It is ment to be translucent but on me it had a little colour so that was a bit of a shame so when buying it just make sure that your okay with that as it could happen to you. I like that it comes with a little mirror so it can be put in your hand bag for touch ups. It made my foundation matte not powdery looking but it didn't last all day so if your looking for a stay all day powder this probably wont be your best friend. I love elf its cheap, has recyclable packaging and no animal testing but i probably wont be repurchasing this as it doesn't have that much product in it either, it gets used up quickly but for the price i shouldn't really be complaining. I wont be recommending to a friend.

As a combo-oily skin girl, I was really wanting to love this product.. but I hate it :( It makes the oily parts of the skin for a very short time, and I found it made my skin long orangey which is strange since it is meant to be translucent. I think this is alright for touch ups but I would not recommend this product

This powder wasn't really worth my $10. Yes it mattifies, but not for very long. I only use a light amount to set my face. It gives a white look to my face and very powdery look around my nose. I think it may have broken my skin out but I can't be certain. I do like the packaging though, it comes with and applicator and mirror which I like. wouldn't repurchase.

This is an okay powder and was super cheap, and I like the packaging. However, it's definitely not translucent. It goes on with a colour, and changes the colour of my foundation. On me it is a bit orangey. I keep it in my bag for touch ups to, and it's okay for this, but I wouldn't repurchase.
