Love the classic black and gold, the colour is great I have it in rose and it lasts a long time I don't much like the smell it reminds me of crayons since a little bit goes a long way it should last a long tine

When I read the name “Rose Lancome” I was expecting a muted pink mauve but was surprised to see a bright fuchsia shade. For me, when it comes to fuchsia; it’s either a “go hard” or “go home” type of shade and Rose Lancome seems promising but ultimately results in you dragging your feet home.
I received the deluxe size as part of a Christmas gift set GWP and I must say that they did not scrimp on the packaging. It’s almost an exact replica of the full size which is a chic shiny black case and a slanted lid with the signature golden Lancome rose printed on top. The only difference is that the name LANCOME is not printed on the front of the case.
The lipstick is really comfortable to wear, it goes on smoothly and leaves my lips feeling moisturised for most of the day. However with most satin finishes, it tends to come off quite easily once in contact with something. The pigmentation is buildable and I find that it goes on like a lipstick balm where it takes a few swipes to get full opacity.
I detect a synthetic scent but I’m not sure if that’s because it’s a deluxe size or not. The shade is stunning it’s a glossy fuchsia that’s sure to turn heads however this is short lived because the shade seems to become dull over time, it’s not flat it just seems to lose its vibrancy. In addition to that the lipstick tends to feather so if you’re not careful you’re left with a stain (that needs cleaning up!).
I really like this lipstick but it does not last for up to 8 hours (unless you don't plan on eating and drinking the whole day!). For a lipstick that’s almost $NZD60.00 I find it wasteful that if I want to extend the wear that I need to blot this product (i.e. wipe away each cent you've invested in this lipstick). You’re building up the colour with layers of product, only to *wince* blot it, repeat the process and then dust some translucent powder over it in the hope it will help prolong the wear of your investment. All that, just to go out for lunch? No thanks.
