Covers up the blemish without irritating it!

Contrary to other reviews I actually enjoy this concealer a lot. The main reason for this is because I have skin that is super prone to break outs. Anyone who constantly has a blaring-red pimple around their face knows the struggle of trying to keep it covered throughout the day only to have it flame up again from the amount of coverage you slapped on to keep it hidden - a massive paradox of makeup.

Well this concealer is the one for you! I want to recommend for anyone who has quite bad acne. Usually when I cover up my acne with standard concealers and foundations my blemish gets more irritated and any progress of clearing up goes back to square one. This concealer on the other hand does cover up my blemish and while I wouldn't say it definitely clears it up it certainly works in conjunction with the skin care routine from the morning.

I can see why if you don't have blemishes often this concealer is probably a disappointment. If I didn't have blemishes to cover I would probably go for a thicker regular concealer too.

I would also say that this may not work well for super dry skin as it can go a bit patchy due to the ingredients in it to help dry and clear up the blemish.

Tips: This concealer works the best alongside Clinique's anti-blemish skincare range.

Disappointing

Unfortunately this concealer went on very orangey for my skin although colour matched in store, and was very hard to blend with my foundation. I have only used it a handful of times, preferring a different concealer. I did notice a little goes a long way so in that sense it's good value for money.

Pricey and not for me

I had high hopes for this product but sadly it really did not work for me. Didn't do much in a way of clearing or concealing my blemishes.

clinique concealer anti blemish

I have been using this product for a few months now and i love it! I use it to cover up blemishes and it also works great to cover up the darkness around my eyes. With this product a little goes a long way, I have been using it on a daily basis and still have a nearly full tube. I would defiantly recommend to everyone :)

Tips: I use a small concealer brush to apply for a better coverage.

Clinique Anti-Blemish Clearing Concealer

I love Clinique's Anti-Blemish range of skincare and their foundation, so when I asked at the Clinique counter about what concealer would be best for me, this was naturally recommended to me. It comes in a small, squeezable tube. The tip is not too small or too big and it's easy to dispense just the right amount of product.

The formula itself is very thick, a true concealer which does provide good coverage. When I purchased it they were only selling two shades, 1 and 2, so I bought the darker of the two which at the time thought looked -okay- with my skin. Unfortunately, it wasn't quite the right shade for me, a bit too light. It's very yellow-toned, I don't know about the other shades but I probably wouldn't recommend shade 2 for anyone with pink-toned colouring.

Unlike most concealers, the Clearing Concealer you apply before your makeup so that it can work on clearing those pesky blemishes! As recommended, I applied it with my fingers and patted it out around blemishes, working quickly as the formula is very fast-drying. I then applied my liquid foundation, blending it well.

I do think the formula did help with clearing blemishes while I wore it, as I have found some blemishes I had at the beginning of the day and concealed had reduced slightly by the time I removed my makeup.

Unfortunately with the current colour selections available I won't be repurchasing this as I did find it hard to conceal the mismatch in colour! I would recommend people interested in it visit a Clinique Counter first and try it themselves, if the colour matches it would be great for acne-prone people with oily skin.

Tips: Apply over moisturised skin before foundation for the best results as this concealer is rather drying.
