Shiseido Microliner Ink Crayon in Black is an ultra precision eyeliner with an extremely fine tip, packaged in a slim 0.08g wind-up crayon applicator. (I got mine in one of the Beauty Review Vault's, thanks BR!).
The eyeliner is highly pigmented, providing a bold black line, with a long-lasting, water-resistant, smudge-proof, matte formula. The really nice thing about this crayon eyeliner is that it features thermo-sensory technology that allows the eyeliner to transform from a solid crayon state to a smooth liquid upon contact with skin.
To use this eyeliner, simple twist the applicator to push the eyeliner up by one millimeter (only one or two clicks), you don't want to make the eyeliner too long, as it is really soft and can't be retracted back into the applicator. Then simply glide the eyeliner over the lash line. It is so lightweight that I didn't think I'd actually applied anything, and yet I had a perfectly thin line that looked bold enough to be liquid eyeliner.
The micro-thin application means that the eyeliner can be place precisely between eyelashes, glided across the eyelid, or used to tightline with remarkable precision and no jumping, skipping or leaving gaps.
I'm really impressed with this eyeliner, and for the price, I should be. This is a high-end product that truly does deliver.
I go through an eyeliner every few months. So when I saw this in the last vault I was keen to try a high end eyeliner.
The shade this one came in was a dark brown. So on the eyes it is a little softer than black but still a dark frame.
The eyeliner has the thinnest tip I've ever seen on an eyeliner and comes up in much smaller increments.
In terms of going from solid to liquid, not so sure I'd really describe it like that. It's really just like normal eyeliner. but it is nice and smooth and doesn't drag. And does last all day.
I go through eyeliner too frequently to justify spending this much, but really enjoyed trying it out.
