This is the first setting spray I have purchased. Packaging is quite plain. Small white bottle with a spray top. Does have a scent, not pleasant or unpleasant. Once sprayed on face, my face does feel uncomfortably warm. I don't know whether this is normal or not. Spray is not a fine mist which I prefer but it doesn't apply in big drops either. Does set nicely within a couple of minutes.
I don't have anything to compare this to but as a beginner product for a beginner I can't complain. End result is not as matte as I would like, still seems to be a bit shiny to me. Price point is cheap and affordable. This not my holy grail item. I would repurchase in a pinch but will look to try other setting sprays from the brand to find one that suits me better.
Brought this being such an avid love of Essence cosmetics, wasn't expecting anything too amazing for $7ish and rightfully so. This setting spray was average - at best, it didn't do much if anything and made no difference to the longevity and wear of my makeup, setting spray are not Essences strong suit.
