I had been told how amazing this highlighter is so being a highlighter addict I had to get it! The texture is so interesting, I have nothing like it. It gives a gorgeous glittery glow! unfortunately it doesn't last long on my face so I have designated it as my 'going out' highlighter

Tips: I have found using my fingers work best as it melts the product and makes it easier to blend
As it implies it is very soft and creamy. It highlights very well and it blends really easily due to its silky texture. It is very cheap and worth the buy. I really love this highlighter!
Tips: I apply it with my fingers because I find it easier and it blends more easily like that. Be careful not to apply too much because it is highly pigmented.
I picked this up on an inexplicable whim. I already had Benefit Watts Up but I was drawn by the pretty colour, I guess?
Essence cosmetics are really, really cheap for how good they are. I believe this cost me around $5 from Pricewise. The compact is a cheap clear plastic; nothing special but it opens easily and snaps closed securely.
The highlighter is a soft, creamy consistency and a pink/white toned shimmer. The Benefit one I have is more of a champagne colour so it's nice to have a difference :)
I find it easiest to apply this with a foundation brush, because fingers warm it quite a lot and that tends to make it harder to work with. Swiping a foundation brush over it, dotting it onto cheekbones and blending it in is easy and effective, giving a subtle, pretty shimmer that dries to a fine powder, even though it applies as a cream.
I have three much higher end highlighters - Benefit Watts Up, Too Faced Candlelight Glow and Becca Shimmering Pressed Powder - and this doesn't beat them, but for the tiny price point it's definitely a contender if you're new to highlighters, on a budget, or not sure if this is your kind of thing.
Longevity is average, but that's not my main focus with highlighter really! This comes in two colours so you can match it to your skin tone, but they're both on the lighter side so how much or little you use will totally depend on your skin and preferences.
Definitely worth checking out if you're not already a highlighter fan; if you are you'll probably notice the areas where it loses out to higher end products (coverage, longevity, colour) but for a few bucks its a quick and easy way to try out the trend
Tips: Don't restrict yourself to cheekbones! This is lovely under your brow arch too.
Trust me when I say I have a HUGE make up collection and it is very rare for me to use one product every day without fail. This is one of those products for me. The packaging is cheap, yes, but so is the price point. I have Look on the Bright Side and it's a white highlight with a gold shift. I can put this over or under powders and either way it looks gorgeous, never upsetting the products beneath it. This is the kind of subtle highlight that I think would be perfect for anyone and if you're like me and love a highlight that can be seen from space, just layer a powder highlight on top! It honestly just melts into your skin. I LOVE it.
I either dab this on my cheekbones with a stippling brush or just use my finger tips!
Tips: Layer another powder highlight on top for an insane glow.
I am so happy I have found this brand. I have a number of items from this eange and I am happy with them all, this highlighter is no different.
I love the creamy formulation, it goes on nicely and blends really. I have a great brush which makes is a dream to apply and blend.
This is not a flash range and it is reflected in the price, however it would be great for a beginner who is new to highlighting or for someone that is on a tight budget but wants to look great.
The packaging is sort of cheap but it is secure, I havent had the lid pop open unexpectedly.
This little package is cheap and cheerful, do give it a try.
I've watched a couple of YouTubers rave about this product, so picked it up along with a couple of other Essence goodies.
The packaging is a simple clear plastic compact, nice enough, nothing to rave about. But what inside... is pure gold.
As stated it's a creamy formula that once on your skin goes powdery, but not Nana powdery, in fact you don't see the powder, you just see this gorgeous highlight. Honestly, it makes my upper cheekbones look so radiant, but in a natural healthy way. I have both shades and my preference is for the pinky shade over the cream one, although I enjoy that too.
For the price you can't beat this product, in fact I have higher end highlighters which can't even compare to this. It's that good. Highly recommend.
