This was perhaps a shade too light for me. However I did quite like it. The bottle is nice and simple with the lid being secure enough that I could have it in my handbag and not worry about it coming off and making a mess. So far I have only applied with a sponge. The pump is great as it means you don't get too much coming out in one go. It's thick without being to thick, so doesn't run and is light on my skin. (I don't feel like I'm wearing a ton of makeup) It goes on nice and smooth and covers my imperfections great for a little while. For me this only lasts a few hours when I'm working. It seems to soak into or come off my skin. I have used with and without primer and also with and without a powder over top. It did last a little longer with a primer. I found that during the weekend or when I wasn't so physical, It lasted even longer so that was a plus. It does seem to have a faint scent. Not strong and not noticeable to me once on the skin. It did seem to dry my skin out a little, so will use a little more moisturizer to try and balance that out. Price wise for me, for the length of time it lasts, I wouldn't use it as a regular foundation. Perhaps more of a going out at night foundation, rather than for going to work.

I liked the foundation. I found I didn't have to reapply during the day like I often do with other brands. The coverage was good but I found I needed to use a primer with it or my pores were quite visible due to it being thicker than some of the foundations I tend to use. It was easy to apply and blended in well. I have sensitive skin but this caused not issues. I would use again.
Tips: Use it with a primer
Firstly, unfortunately as yet, I’ve only tried this for a few days, as the wet weather delayed the courier. But, from what I have experienced so far, I am impressed. I have been applying this foundation after applying moisturiser and primer, and allowing both prior products time to absorb.
The pump bottle is great! Only a small amount comes out and I found this to be the perfect amount to cover my face when I used my fingers to spread. It is best to act quickly to get the best coverage or if you dab it onto areas that may normally need a bit more coverage first, then blend the rest of your face, it seems to give a fantastic even coverage with a matte finish. The lasting power is also pretty good. No oily forehead during the day, even the sneeze test left limited foundation on my tissue! I did find selecting the right colour a bit tricky, and may have gotten one a touch pale, however, I have now got new motivation to use my highlighter pallets - yah!
Tips: Apply to potential concealer places first and work in from there to get a good coverage.
I received this product as a part of the Beauty Review trial team and had the shade 03 True Ivory.
I was really excited to try this foundation as I have been looking for an affordable fuller coverage foundation.
This foundation comes in a standard clear bottle with 30mls of product. It is a glass bottle which is nice. It also comes with a pump. I do wish the pump was a little more securely attached to the bottle as I found mine can sometimes twist slightly when I remove the lid.
The foundation itself is quiet runny. Because of this one pump seems like enough to cover your face, but I found that it didn't really go to far on the face, I wound up having to use three pumps for my face.
I applied this with a damp Real Techniques sponge and a brush and found that it works well with both, I do prefer the look of a damp sponge. It has a natural finish - not too matte and not to dewy. I found it looks quiet skin like.
This foundation has high medium to low full coverage, it is build-able, it did cover a lot of my redness and acne scaring but found it did cake up a bit around my active acne.
I have oily skin and normally foundations start to break up on my skin throughout the day. This foundation did an excellent job at staying put and din't break down or separate. I paired this with the Stila One Step correct and Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray and it looked great throughout the day.
However the colour match on this was not great on me, I have fair skin and found that it did oxidize a little bit and if there was some product not blended out properly it did look a little orange. Which as the undertone was a little off was noticeable on my skin tone. I will finish the bottle but for $33 I think I can find a better colour match.
If you are able to find a good shade match I highly recommend this product
Tips: Applies best with a damp sponge
I've really enjoyed using this foundation, the coveridge is awesome I've had a few problem spots before using this but it's been so good at hiding these. I normally use a high coverage concealer as well as full coverage foundation but all I need with this is the foundation. I did find you needed to blend it well and quite quickly as once it's on your skin it's not moving anywhere! And that's not a bad thing! I found it went on well with a damp sponge and worked into the skin nicely Another small thing I love it that the bottle has a pump for easy application which is different for Maybelline foundations which normally have a screw top lid. I like that there is a range of colours so I can have a lighter shade and a darker one. This foundation is a win for me and I look forward to trying the rest of the Superstay range.
Tips: Blend, blend blend real quick!
I've been on the search for a new foundation for a while now, so I jumped at the chance of trialling this. Luckily when it arrived it was a fairly close match for my 'tan' (aka joined up freckles). This comes in a sturdy glass bottle with a pump. The white plastic lid does cheapen the packaging somewhat which is a shame as this product compares well to other long lasting foundations which are double the price.
I applied this using my fingers as I can never be faffed with foundation brushes or sponges. I needed one and a bit pumps. This isn't as spreadable as some foundations so it's best to focus on part of your face at a time as once this stuff sets, there is no budging it. I have worn this outside all day on Sports Day, in a torrential rain storm and whilst trying on clothes and it didn't shift, transfer, cake or fade. I put it to the ultimate test - my very first Zumba class! Now I know I was sweating like crazy and that I would've have been bright red underneath this but you could not tell. I just had a nice dewy glow. In fact I think I looked like the lady who wears too much makeup to the gym as it still looked like I did when I applied it in the morning.
You will need a good cleanser to get this off. I recommend double cleansing with a hot cloth and an oil balm. I don't think anything less would be effective in getting this off which could led to skin issues. Whilst I still prefer a dewy finish, this is not a flat looking matte like some so I will continue to use it until those freckles fade. I recommend this to anyone who wants to 'set and forget' their foundation and just get in with their day.
I was lucky enough to be selected for a trial team to review this product! Firstly I love the packaging of this foundation, it’s sleek and clean looking. This is a super full coverage foundation! It has a thick creamy texture (it doesn’t run once pumped onto the back of your hand also yay for a pump!!) and I didn’t notice a scent. The shade I chose was light beige which was a touch too light for me however it slightly darkened after initial application and I was able to darken it up with bronzer I have tried two application methods, one with a brush and one with a beauty sponge. I have combination to dry skin and with a brush this foundation emphasised all the texture on my face and looked like it was sitting on my skin but with a damp beauty sponge it was a much much better application and it looked more seemless on my face and less cakey than with a brush. It was easy to blend in both with a sponge and with a brush. This foundation lasted a full 12 hours for me both with and without a primer however I preferred the finish with the primer. There was def no oiling up for me with this super Matte coverage. It has a very matte finish so if you are like me and have dry skin, a hydrating primer is likely essential and you will need to add extra light with other products. I don’t think the shade range was very big however so make sure you colour match of look on a foundation matching website et your shade. So if you like the matte look then this foundation is for you.
Tips: This would be great if you have a big event and needing your foundation to stay put or if you want a foundation with high coverage, this is the one for you! Other tips are to prep your skin well in advance with moisturiser and primer. This would also be great for someone with oil skin!
Firstly I would like to thank Beauty Review for trusting me with this product to trial.
I am almost convinced that this is the ONE. I really enjoy using this foundation and I will definately purchase this once I have finished this trial bottle.
$33.99 for 30mls is great value in the world of foundations. This comes in a square clear glass bottle with a very convieniant plastic pump lid in white.
The shade I chose was sand, it was an amazing match considering I only had online swatches to look at.
I firstly used this foundation without a primer to see how it worked. I applied with my finger tiops as I usually do and it went on evenly and smoothly. I really liked the coverage it gave me, I do need a full cover foundation as I have quite an uneven skin tone. I am always concerned about getting a shiny look as the day goes on, however not one bit of a glow was present all day, thats a real plus for me! It is one of those foundations that while you are wearing it you actually dont realise it is on, it is very light weight. I was super happy with the staying power, it really stayed all day, until I cleaned it off that evening. I used my usual make up remover and it came off easily.
The following day I used a primer and had the same satisfying result. No shiny face or make up moving throughout the day.
Overall I am super happy with this foundation and will repurchase it when next I require a new foundation.
So, I was really really excited, like kid in a candy store level excitement..to be chosen to trial the new Maybelline lip ink and this foundation! Let's get to it!
I really love the sleek modern square glass bottle and that it has a pump that measures the perfect amount and doesn't go everywhere when I put it on the back of my hand or my mixing palette.. Unlike my normal Estée Lauder double wear foundation does. They have an amazing range of shades but the shade I chose was #16P and the formula is a perfect liquid, not too thick not to thin but just right.. I thought I would try both with a slightly wet beauty blender and with my ChiChi mixed mediums #106 buffing brush.. It actually worked fantastically with both and I can't say I have a clear fav for application. I found the look of the foundation really lovely and it kind of reminded me of my double wear in coverage as it was med/heavy but easy to build up if more coverage was wanted. I found the 24hr claim for me was actually more of a 16hr time frame, not to be scoffed at as no touch ups were required through the super humidity we are having and I loved how matte the look was too! Teamed with a setting spray and matte powder, It really did stay put and my combination but verging on the dry side more, skin type really liked the formula. It did feel like I was wearing a full face of foundation so I also tried thinning it out with my normal Sukin face moisturizer and that worked really well for a less makeup look and feel too. To summarize I feel like if and when I run out of my double wear, I will definitely repurchase this!
Tips: Use with a slightly damp beauty blender. Thin it out and make a tinted moisturizer with your favorite moisturizer.. :)
The packaging is sleek and clean looking. It is a sturdy glass bottle with a pump dispenser. I like using pump dispensers as it feels like it it keeps the foundation fresh and hygienic. The pump dispensed a good amount of product. The foundation has a medium consistency. It smoothed on really easily and evenly. It made my freckles and redness around my nose disappear. When you spread the foundation around it turns into a very fine powder finish. It didn't move around my face. which I sometimes get around my nose with some foundations. It touched up very easily, although I found it didn't need much touching up and the foundation does truly stay put. This is a fantastic foundation to give you that classic flawless matte finish.
