Ardell Complete Brow Defining Kit Review

How excited was I when BR gave me the chance to review this product! I recently saw the Ardell brow defining kit at the chemist and had decided that I would purchase next time I needed a brow kit. Now that I've had the opportunity to test it out before I buy, here's what I think. The Ardell Brow Defining kit comes in a sturdy little plastic (not the cheap thin stuff) compact containing four different shades; a light shade for highlighting, two shades of brown and a black brown for defining the brow depending on your hair colour. There is also a chubby wax pencil and a double ended brush which has a small angled brow brush on one end and a great spoolie brush on the other for combing everything into place. Now from years of over plucking my poor little brows I have been left with fine patchy eyebrows but let me tell you, this kit sorts everything out without making things look "drawn on". The compact is small enough to throw into any makeup bag along with the accompanying tools but even if you don't want to take the brush, there is a teeny tiny brush inside the compact for on the go touch ups. This compact would suit most skin and hair colours even those with blonde hair as the lighter brown shade would give a nice amount of depth to the brow. Overall I'm really impressed with the Ardell Brow Defining Kit. It does what it says it's going to do and I think it matches any other kit on the market of similar pricing.

My eyebrows are one of my physical features that I am most proud of. I was blessed with a natural shape, and so I was stoked to be able to review this kit!

The brow kit comes with a wax pencil (with its own pencil sharpener, great idea) a spiral eyebrow brush, two angled brushes and a palette of colours. The best part about the palette is that you can build up your colour until you're happy with it, so it looks natural.

I found the brushes really easy to use, the colour really easy to apply, and I love that there is a pencil sharpener with the wax pencil, especially since it's a jumbo pencil and they can be a pain to find the right size sharpener for.

This is now a regular use item.

I'm pretty new to the brow enhancing gear available. I've tried a couple of product but without much luck. What I love about this is the step by step instructions on the box. The wax grooming pencil works so well setting the colour in place. Just updating after weeks more of use. I'm loving it. I turning into an eyebrow pro thanks for this kit.:) :). It has become part of my make up routine now. Its awesome. Will be buying this when I run out.

Absolutely adored this kit. Can you get an eye trio at home?Absolutely! Need to tide yourself over until you save some pennies for your beauty therapist to get tinting- ladies this your go too.

Where to start? The brow kit is the ideal size for your handbag it comes in a little palette with three different colour's which you can mix together to create the perfect shade to suit you brows. Then there's a highlighting white shimmer for underneath your arch- this highlights your newly beautiful brows.

I would seriously repurchase this kit- you can mix and match and change up your brow looks quite dramatically. Perfect for creating natural everyday brows and great for creating dramatic brows for a night on the town!

I also loved the two brushes that came with the kit, this proved easy to apply (use the slanted brush) and then an almost mascara wand brush to blend out your applied shadow. The kit also comes with a pencil which is in fact a brow gel- this sets your newly tamed eye brows into place.

If this wasn't enough, the fake eyelashes were just beautiful. Today I worked an eleven hour day and they are still in place, no lifting what so ever. I found they fit my eye shade perfectly- they were definitely a more dramatic set of falsies- not for the reserved characters! My eye shadow and liner combo complimented these dramatic lashes, the kit and lash combo would be ideal for a night out!

I was always a little intimidated by brow kits. Will I give myself the Scouse Brow? Will I look like Ru Paul at his Surprise Birthday Party?

This kit has EVERYTHING you need for good brow game, except tweezers. You gotta bring your own tweezers to the party. But that's ok, because for the price you get ALOT.

The powders are fantastic, and while I don't tend to use the lightest shade as much, I do occasionally use it for a bit of brow contour. And I have actually used it as an eyeshadow, to good results, so it won't go to waste.

The slanted brush is fantastic for applying the powder and the spoolie is sturdy but soft, meaning you can really blend out.

The pencil is a sort of finisher, it holds the brows in place once you've created your look.

Forget the Elf set, you can't beat this quality, and forget anything pricier - you just don't need to spend more than this for the ultimate brow.

Ardell is one of those brands I sort of forget I use often - I use this brow kit daily, and it just gets the job done, causes me zero hassle and I think actually, I kind of take it for granted.

How often do you buy a makeup set where you use every single product? For $25 you get 3 products that, if you're like me, and need to do your brows daily, you will totally come to rely on.

The powders create a good brow, they don't really fall out, and applied to primed brows, easily last all day. The brush applicator is easy to use and precise. Even the finishing pencil really does set your brows. And it comes with a sharpener built in - WINNING.

$25 for the easiest and best brows of your life? Why wouldn't you try this?!

I use to use a brand that has been discontinued and have tried so many different brow powders and finally come across this one in my pharmacy and have repurchased several times now! I love how everything you need is in a small compact, I don't use the wax pencil as I find I don't have enough hair for it. I wear this everyday and it lasts so long! Its affordable and definitely worth trying out, I get so many compliments at my work and have recommended to a lot of different customers.

After using the Ardell eyebrow kit, my eyebrows had a very natural looking fullness to them and they stayed in place all day. In the kit you get a blinde shade, two brown shades and a black shade. The powder is easy to apply and blend, you get two small angled brushes and a spooly brush and a wax pencil. My favorite feature would have to be the wax pencil as its easy to apply and keeps my eyebrows at bay even if i dont fill them in. Being into SFX makup, i find it would double as a use for blocking out eyebrows too. Im very satisfied by the results and for the price, id definately use it again.

Set includes: - Brow Palette with 4 colours charcoal grey, deep brown, tan brown and highlighter. - Wax grooming pencil - Duo brow brush,slanted end brush and a spoolie.

Packaging: Matte black palette with Ardell written in white and a circle window to show colours, this makes it super handy to identify amongst other makeup. The case has already got quite smudged with makeup and my fingertips (im not that messy either) it isn't easy to wipe clean so to me its looking a little cheap. Upon opening there is a rectangle mirror and a small slanted brush both handy for on the go. Having the mix of colours to blend is great as you can use which ever you want depending on the style/colour you are going for. I have fair skin and minimal eyebrows so I cant say ill use the darkest colour and instead have been mixing only the two browns.This does seem a shame having the extra colour go to waste but using 3 outta 4 isn't bad.

Application: I just dove right in (remember I hadn't used a pressed brow powder before) First I brushed with spoolie then started with one swipe of the tan brown colour using the slanted brush and started applying from inside out then added in the dark brown to blend and I was super surprised how easy it was, it didnt go on to heavy which made it comfortable to apply. There has been no powder or flakes left on my face - one of my fears of this product! I don't feel like you have to shape them as much as you do with a pencil because you aren't so much drawing them on and rather filling them in or 'defining' as the package states. After desired colour and shape has been met and I have brushed again for added blending, then use the brow grooming pencil which is made up of a wax to set the brows in place, I love using this and it sets them well, just don't over do it here, just a couple of simple strokes is fine. The handy sharpener on the lid is awesome and I wish more pencils had this feature. The last part is the highlighter which has a hint of sparkle, this is where I use the brush included in the compact and apply under my brow arch. It makes a subtle difference,and I like it.

I think the price tag is a little hefty and wouldn't be to my normal budget but with that said it does what it says and has turned out to be a really good product to use daily.

I was excited to try this product as finding an affordable eyebrow kit that came in black was becoming difficult for me. The colour is a nice black my only flaw is that you have to moisten the brush with some water to get a defined, opaque line. The wax pencil is quick and easy to use and seems to keep everything in place all day long. The highlighter shade is lovely and illuminating. All and all a good product to work with.
