Ardell Glamour Lashes Starter Kit review

I got these in the mail along with the eyebrow kit which i quite like and was exited to finally try these out as i dont often get false lashes. I was rather disappinted though as the glue that came with it was hard to apply and the lashes felt very plastic and flimsy. Starting off with the band. The band of the eyelashes was thin and almost non existant which made applying glue rather difficult. Length. The length of the lashes didnt really appeal to me, it might be due to my eyeshape but they looked to long on me and very fake rather than natural so i couldnt wear them out and just peeled them off. Application. I found them rather easy to apply onto my eyelids considering im bad with falsies but again trying to add the glue was a bit of a mess. This product maybe could work for some people but it didnt personally work for me, maybe i could like another style of lashes from this company but not these ones in particular.

First time playing around with falsies, there was good and bad. Bad was the glue and the smell-a very strong odour it pongs! Also it must of had small air bubbles too because when I slowly squeeze just bubbles came out and then it blobs out. Not ideal when its white but I managed.

The good - It only took a couple of goes to get them in the right place- just practice. I never used the applicator as found it far too awkward. My sensitive skin didnt seem to have an issue with the glue which I was happy about. They are quite black so they look better if you apply mascara to your natural lashes aswell so you cant tell them apart, also do your makeup after not before applying.

I was impressed and like them. I find this particular shape and length abit obviously fake looking and maybe not quite the right ones for me. They do make a great statement for a night look. Ill be posting a pic to the photo wall to show a before and after look when I had a play :)

I was a bit scared of these to be honest as I have horror stories of false lashes in the past but I have to say I was surprised at how easy this kit was to use. It contains everything you need in one kit; a pair of lashes, Lash Grip Strip Adhesive and an Easy-to-Use Applicator. The Applicator makes all the difference to me so easy to get the lashes in the right place and to apply the adhesive with no mess. I found the lashes a bit dark for me, I am a ginger so tend to go for a brown rather than deep black but my eyes looked amazing and not once did I stick my eyelids together so that is a win for me. I would buy these again for a special occasion but in a lighter brown if that was available. They were nice to wear but did take a wee bit of getting used to

I loved testing out these lashes I found that using the applicator was quite straight forward and easy. Saying this I still needed to use tweezers to do some adjusting once the lashes were on my eyelid. The length and thickness of these lashes are gorgeous and quite glamorous as the kit would led you to believe. The glue is of good quality too and relatively long lasting. All and all love these lashes and would use again.

This kit is perfect for me as I am almost completely new to the world of false eyelashes. I have previously had a couple of attempts at putting on falsies, and all have failed miserably. What I absolutely love about this kit is the applicator, because it actually helps. You place the eyelashes in the clip/applicator and then put the glue on, which saves your fingers from becoming sticky and gross, and once the glue is tacky you move the clip and lashes towards your eyes and place them on. The clip really helped with placement of the lashes, however I still used a pair of tweezers to pat the falsies down. For the first time in my life I had normal looking falsies on!!! Now on to the actual lashes, when I first saw them I thought wow they will look ridiculous on me. Yet once I had them on, they looked cute, flirty and sophisticated….I was really surprised. The length of the lashes was perfect for me and caused no irritation whatsoever. The look especially good with a smudged wing eyeliner look. The only real issue I had with the kit was the glue. The formula of the glue is fine, it works perfectly well to hold the lashes, but it is the design of the bottle that annoys me. It is a squeezy bottle, which for glue is actually quite hard to use as it is difficult to control the amount of glue that comes out. I spent a fair bit of time wiping excess glue off the lashes and lash band. So not exactly ideal, however I still feel that this is a great starter kit.

I wore these gorgeous lashes two nights ago to a friends party. They looked and felt amazing! I have only recently started wearing falsies so I'm still getting used to the feeling of having something extra sitting on my lids. However these glamour lashes are so lightweight that they sit comfortably on my eyelids without that heavy feeling. Because they don't have a band the pro is the ease of wearing them, the con is it can be a bit tricky and messy applying the glue. I really like the Ardell glue as it has a good consistency, holds tight and it's not tested on animals! However I feel the opening of the tube is too large for these lashes and its squirts out in big globs. Overall I really like these lashes and I will definitely wear again.

I am not really one to wear false eyelashes (as I have failed many times at applying them), but I really enjoyed these! I put them on for a party on Saturday night. I did all my make up first and put them on last, I think this was a rookie mistake though, next time I will definitely put them on first before eye shadow etc. The little applicator it comes with is a god-send! Makes putting on the glue easier and then placing them on your eyes! All eyelashes should have this applicator, I don't think I have ever seen one! When I have had eyelashes on before, I have always been quite aware of them, with these, they felt very comfortable and didn't irritate my eyes whatsoever. They lasted the night and I took them off and they still in good quality so ill definitely be reusing them :)

I enjoy the look of false lashes, but I cannot stand the effort it can take to put them on. I'm quite impatient, though, so I know exactly why I find it difficult.

This set of lashes is lovely - they're not too long, so it doesn't feel like the lashes take over your face, but they're not too short, so they feel like you're actually wearing something. I never use the little tong thingy to apply them, but I think it could make them a lot easier to apply. I like that it comes with glue, not tape, because then I know I have the option to wear them again.

So much fun to try and wear. I have only had one attempt and wasn't to hard and looked fantastic. I can't wait for the next special occasion to try them again. I love that they are reusable.
