Art Deco Bronzing Glow Blusher
Reviews
As I was browsing the Art Deco stand thinking I really need to buy more of this brand to see what it is all about I spotted this blusher in it's pretty packaged goodness and it jumped off the shelf and into my basket....the sneaky little thing!
Packaging wise this is what sold me first and foremost, followed by the words "limited edition" I didn't need another blush, I mean who needs 25+ blushes really, but the packaging oh my!! It comes in a heavy squared brown gold toned compact case with a printed lid that is full of paisley patterns of pink and purple, with hints of gold it all just looks luxurious. Open up the compact and on the inside of the lid is an inserted mirror and the pressed into place blush with has a pattern relief over it's surface mimicking the pattern on the lid of the compact with a blend of brown, purple and pink blush hues.
Formula wise it is a powder blush but it has the quality of a cream for it's blending ability, swirling a big blush brush over the entire surface to get a little of each colour then popping it onto your cheeks sees an instant high glow dusty rose shade which on my fair skin was a little intense, but removing the excess from the brush and using it to blend back the blush which it did obediently and in a manner similar to a cream blush leaving a hint of the dusty rose with a faint golden shine that just made me look fresh and recently returned from a beach break without being over the top in it's bronzing that it looked muddy.
This is great for coverage and I found that it was still on my face, where I plastered it upon my return home at the end of the work day so it lasts all day! I have fallen a little in love with the Art Deco brand and recently brought another limited edition blush...yes another one!
I still cant get over how beautiful this product is. The packaging and the product itself is gorgeous. The colour pay off is phenominal too. In saying that, its a lot more shimmery/glittery than I was hoping, as on my skin I prefer a blush without shimmer. But I can work with it :)
Tips: Use a light hand, and sweeping strokes. Definitely tap excess product off as shimmer builds up easily.
