I love the Australis Velourlips Matte Lip Cream. The pigmentation is awesome and I find them easy to apply. They go on smoothly and dry to a nice matte finish. They can be a bit drying but if you use lip balm first they are comfortable. They last a decent amount of time too, but do need to be reapplied after a few hours. The packaging is secure and easy to have in your bag at all times.

Australis Velourlips Matte Cream
What is it?
Highly pigmented lips are the look of the moment, and this lip cream takes it to the next level with its beautiful matte finish! The creamy long-wear formula glides on easily with its doe foot applicator, finishing to a velvety matte look with intense, full coverage colour payoff. Perfect for when you want lasting, matte colour that moves with your lips without flaking.
Time for a change from gloss! It applies creamy, lasts all day and finishes with a soft suede look.A matte lip cream that moves with your lips so you don’t have to worry about caking and flaking.

I purchased Velourlips in both Mal-i-boo and Tok-i-o as I was wanting to add more colour in my lip collection (I mostly just had tinted balms) and I definitely found it in these!
These are my first matte colours. I've only ever had cream formula lipsticks in the past. I thought my lips were soft and smooth before applying but once on I discovered a dry patch so it's really important to exfoliate first!
My second and subsequent applications I rubbed some coconut oil on my lips then scrubbed some sugar granules into them. After cleaning it off they felt really soft so I applied lip balm and then the velourlips. This was a much better and smoother application.
The applicator is good, but I find it a little difficult to get clean lines around the edges of my lips. This will probably get easier with practice I think. The scent of the formula is nice, a little hard to pinpoint but the closest I can get is probably grape lollies. I didn't think it was too strong until my husband said I went past in a grape scented cloud!
I find that they come off after eating pretty much anything and I haven't been brave enough to attempt re-applying without the exfoliation etc so I don't tend to wear it anywhere that food will be involved.
I love my velourlips, I plan on getting another one in a more nude shade as well. You can see me wearing Tok-i-o on my beauty space photos.
Tips: Exfoliate really well and use a lip balm before applying.
I have 2 of these, a light pink and a dark pink and I'm absolutely in love with these! The colour pay off is absolutely incredible. These are a slightly mousse-like texture and I find you need to work rather quickly when applying, but that's something I'm willing to work with for this product. They last an incredibly long time, and I find they only really start to come off in the centre if you eat oily foods, which is to be expected with any lip product really! They can be a little drying, but not painfully or uncomfortably so. Some lip balm once removed will do the job! Bonus: They smell incredible!
Tips: Work fast when applying and try to avoid oily foods whilst wearing. :)
I own 4 of these and I love them! So long lasting . I would wear this for 12 hours straight with only 1 re application. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who doesn't like that drying feeling super matte. Prefer these over the chi chi matte creams.
Tips: Apply lip balm first.
I honestly love these lipsticks for the price they are and the richness of the colours, you couldn't ask for better value. I love them and always get complimented when ever them. They last for ages. The only downside of these are I find they dry my lips out a lip but I think that might just be because they are matte.
This is another staple makeup piece. I have nearly every colour they have released in New Zealand, and love this stuff more after every use.
The colours are exactly as you see them in the packaging. I wear these nearly every day and now feel 'naked' without it. Though these are sooo matte that if you over apply, you end up with caked lips, so I suggest exfoliating your lips regularly with a sugar scrub and even applying lip balm over the top if you have over applied (its easy to over-apply, I do it often!) and then blot your lips with a tissue to take away the major shine, and you should be ready to go!
Velourlips Matte Cream is perfection, and I am addicted and do recommend this to anybody!
I used NY-CEE (I think. The red one) for my wedding day makeup as I wanted a matt red lip colour but not one that transferred when I kissed my then husband. It was INCREADABLE ! Stayed all afternoon and night and didn't even reapply once. A little but drying but you can totally get over that for the lasting coverage and beautiful pigmented colours ! A+++
Tips: Buy every shade ! You will die for them
I have about five different colours in the velour lips and I find I get so many compliments when I'm wearing them! they don't transfer and I find I just have to reapply if I'm eating a big meal. Only problem is if you layer it too much it tends to Crack and come off.
Tips: only use 1-2 layers
I bought my first velour lip a good few years ago, it was par-ee, and I have re-bought it so many times, i can just wear it all the time and it lasts. I have the collection now and they are so fab!!
I can't contain my love for these liquid lipsticks. Velourlips are beautifully pigmented matte lipsticks.
I find these matte liquid lipstick are highly pigmented with a beautiful range of eye catching colours. They apply to the lips with ease and dry go a extreme matte formula.
Velour lips are kiss proof with it being able to last all day even through eating and drinking the lipstick will not transfer..
The product comes in a simple tube with a dough foot applicator with perfectly fits any lip shape.
The scent of grapes also makes this liquid lipstick more appealingl.
Tips: always exfoliate your lips and use a moisturising lip balm before application as the matte formula can dry out your lips.
