Australis Primer Review

I got this free with a foundation and I'm very glad I didn't actually buy it because it does horrible things to my skin. It is a personal thing however as all skin types are extremely different but I found it made my skin feel dry and my break outs got even worse! I don't notice any changes when I'm wearing it and when I'm not

I have been using this primer after a recommendation from a friend when I was telling her how I was unhappy about the finish of my foundation whilst using a different primer. I really love this product, (although the texture is weird) It manages to lock moister in resulting in a smooth surface to apply foundation. It keeps my skin hydrated throughout the day, resulting in my foundation not drying up later in the day and clogging in my pores.

PROS: A great price. Decent amount of product. Handy slim packaging - easy to slip in to your makeup bag. Skin feels nice & smooth after application.

CONS: Does/offers nothing special - I couldn't even tell the difference in the look of my skin when using versus not using. Makeup does not last any longer with this product on. I personally find it very drying around my eyes, nose & brows (my skin would go flaky over the course of the day in these areas when I am wearing it).

It has a watery gel consistency. Possibly an ok starter primer, but offers nothing special to be honest. There are better primers on the market.

I will only use this primer! I love this product. I purchased this while in Australia and it worked like magic - my foundation stayed on perfect during sweltering hot days and also stayed on rather well during those horrid wet and windy months. I have oily skin and it did not effect the skin in any bad way. I enjoy using this product.

I was attracted to this product due to the price and the fact that I'm a fan of the australis brand (in particular their nail polish). However, when I purchased this I was confused and disappointed. This is the first primer I have ever used and not only did I think it smelled unpleasant, I also saw no difference in terms of making my make up last longer. I soon stopped using this primer (it's still in my makeup drawer half full) and have yet to try another brand's primer. Not really keen to make another commitment to primer again.

Overall I found this alright. It gives me a nice even base but I didn't find it made my make up last any longer and it seemed to sink in quickly. The quality reflects the price I suppose.

I bought this as I had just run out of my other primer. It has such a weird consistency, it feels like nothing is going on your face. It didn't prolong the longevity of my foundation and I regret buying it. Though it was cheap, I really wish I had skipped on buying this.

In spite of some not so great reviews on here of this product, I loved it! Its the first primer I've ever tried and I found it really helps foundation go on smoother, particularly below the eyes - it stops concealer and foundation from sinking into the creases. I always use this for a big night or long day when I need my make up to stay put and it does not disappoint. I used it on the day of my graduation when it was hot and sunny and I was out of the house from 8am - 11pm - and I couldn't believe how good my makeup looked when I came home!

Purchased this primer from Farmers on reccomendation of a friend who uses it daily.

The packaging for the primer is simple and easy to spot in the Australis stand.

The primer texture is very siliony and has quite a strange smell to it. It absorbs in fast like you havent even put it on.

After the second week of using this it started to make my skin breakout every time I used it and to be honest I never noticed that it made my foundation stay on any longer

I won't be finishing this tube and wont be repurchasing either

Been using this for a couple of years, is a nice light primer to put on. I have used another primer and it was like putting PermFiller on (a product you use to fill in/cover up holes in your gib), so this was a nice change. It does absorb super quick so you can't fart about going from this to concealer. I use moisturiser first, then this, then concealer, then mineral foundation. I find it makes it stay on longer and helps with NOT clogging my pores. It also lasts ages like 4-5 months, maybe longer
