Australis Primer Review

I grabbed this primer in a hurry because I had run out of my usual favourite. Sadly it was a huge dissapointment and I would have been better off going without. This primer didn't seem to help my makeup last and after putting it on left my skin feeling horrible, almost a weird grippy feeling to it. I didn't like the smell or texture. Only positive about this product is the tube it comes in is quite easy to use. Give this one a miss! Not worth purchasing, there are plenty of better options out there for the same price.

I persisted in using this primer for months but I really found no difference when I used it. It's water based, so really all it did was slightly moisturise my skin, which isn't what i want in a primer. It was just another unneccessary product that took up space in my drawer that I didn't really like. I've since thrown it away and replaced it with a primer that really does do something.

I received this as a free gift from Farmers when I spent over a certain amount on Australis products and I found it wasn't a very good primer at all. I found it really silicony and gelly like and when I rubbed it into my skin it felt watery. It didn't feel like it was putting a barier between my foundation and skin at all. Haven't used it again since, I like most of Australis' products but not a fan of this :)

PROS: A great price. Decent amount of product. Handy slim packaging - easy to slip in to your makeup bag. Skin feels nice & smooth after application.

CONS: Does/offers nothing special - I couldn't even tell the difference in the look of my skin when using versus not using. Makeup does not last any longer with this product on. I personally find it very drying around my eyes, nose & brows (my skin would go flaky over the course of the day in these areas when I am wearing it).

It has a watery gel consistency. Possibly an ok starter primer, but offers nothing special to be honest. There are better primers on the market.

Big mistake that was. This product made me break out so much, and never before has any type of makeup done this to me. Not only did I break out, but it did nothing! no difference, it smelt bad, the texture was horrible very silicony. It was not sticky but it had quite a slippery texture to it, my foundation did not apply well at all, extremely patchy.

I was attracted to this product due to the price and the fact that I'm a fan of the australis brand (in particular their nail polish). However, when I purchased this I was confused and disappointed. This is the first primer I have ever used and not only did I think it smelled unpleasant, I also saw no difference in terms of making my make up last longer. I soon stopped using this primer (it's still in my makeup drawer half full) and have yet to try another brand's primer. Not really keen to make another commitment to primer again.

Hands down the worst primer I have ever used in my life. It did nothing except for sting my skin and make little bumps form on it. It's quite pricy too; there are many more affordable and better options out there so I'd definitely give this a pass! The formula was also very thin and watery so I don't see how it could have worked out.

This primer did nothing for me. There was no difference to the lasting of my make up nor did it hydrate my skin any more than a moisturiser. I ended up throwing it out and am yet to find a decent primer
