Australis Tint My Brows Review

I got this while I was in Australia on holiday. It was quiet cheap only about $10 from Big W. I thought I'd give it a go because i heard it was a dupe for Benefits Gimme Brow.

Firstly there wasn't much to choose from in terms of a color range. There were only 3 colors: Blonde, Light Brown and Dark Brown. I chose dark brown as i have very dark brows, they're like a black/brown shade. The brow tint was WAAYY too light for me. It looked ridiculous! It was more of a light/mousy brown in my opinion.

Applying the product was quiet difficult as the brush was far too big. It was about the size of a mascara brush which is totally not appropriate in this instance. The product got all over my skin as well as my brows. Even after wiping it off my skin it left a little stain.

Even though i only used a very small amount of product my eyebrows looked cakey...... They were like giant crusty caterpillars. That's right crusty! My brows turned rock hard once the product had dried and it flaked off when i touched them.

I only used this once and NEVER again. It was terrible and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I would much rather save up for the real deal then buy this crappy dupe;

I purchased this product as a substitute for the brow powder which I had been using, just to see how the two different products would compare in terms of creating a defined (but not scary!) brow. I generally like Australis as a brand, so was looking forward to trying out this product.

The packaging is simple and cute - the product is dispersed on a wee screw-out spoolie. It's essentially like a mini mascara, only the tube is plastic. I found the spoolie a little too wide and un-tapered to easily create the perfectly defined brow which I had been doing with my powder. After a lot of practice it is achievable, but with this product I found it much easier to just create a natural brow look.

The formula matched my hair colour really well (I used the medium brown tone), and if applied correctly looked really natural when on. It stays on all day without budging a single smidgen! The only negative point about this formula is the way in which it dries hard - I just found it a little icky having hard eyebrows haha! But that effect is lessened if you use less product.

Overall I think this is great value for the price, but will be looking for an alternative product in the future.

I decided to get this product due wanting to try a tinted eyebrow mascara. I grabbed this in the shade light brown as the dark brown looked way to warm for my liking. The packaging is very simple but I am not fussed with the tube being plastic. When I first opened it and saw that the spoolie was quite big I was scared to apply it to my brows but it makes your brows look quite natural but more bolder. I have found that it doesn't define them but I wasn't expecting that from this product as I wanted it for an easy, quick brow product. I have found that the formula is really nice and it dries quite fast but it doesn't go rock hard. I will definitely repurchase this product as I love how affordable it is and it does an amazing job.

I liked the idea of the tint my brows concept and I had read it was a close dupe for Gimme brow, I had already purchased Benefits brow zings and couldn't afford to also buy Gimme brow so I waited it out until I was at my local Farmers. I chose the dark brown shade as this is always the shade color I pick for my eye brows. My eyebrow hairs are black and the eyebrow hairs are so thick! So finding eyebrow products are difficult for me.

It came with a spoole as the applicator which helped brush the product through your eyebrows, it brushes a small amount of formula which you can slowly build up as you like but the color was opposite from dark brown, it was more of a light to medium brown and brushing the product through my eyebrows made my eyebrows look terrible! I thought it was just me until I started taking selfies and in the photos it looks like my eyebrows are starting to turn grey.

I have tried time and time again to make this work but its just not the product for me. Maybe when they bring out a darker color I will try again. The formula is great but the color is definitely not dark brown.

The brush is a little bit hard to use - it's like a mascara brush. But the product is great. It fills in the brows really nicely and keeps them in place all day like a gel.

I purchased this product as it was obviously a lot more affordable than the benefit gimme brow and I had heard a couple of good reviews on this Australis one so thought I would give it a go!

First off, the spooly applicator isn't so user friendly, it would be okay if you had large brows but its the same size as a large mascara one so its quite hard to keep the product just on your brows, and you also get a lot of product on the spooly so that makes it quite messy having the wipe some off and it doesn't go back into the tube so its really a bit messy for me!

The product itself works well! It really sticks your brows down, but its quite noticeable and I made the mistake of brushing through my brows because I didn't like the way it looked when I first applied it which then gave me the effect as if I had dandruff all through my eyebrows!

I think I prefer clear gel over this product for now! Until I purchase the gimme brow to see if that is any better!

This product only has a small selection of colours which restricts your ability to match it to your own brows. I'm certainly still a learner when it comes to brows. It can be tricky to apply, it is easy to make a mess. I can't wear it at my work because I'm around a lot of humid, steamy rooms and it starts kind of melting off. I still use it but just not at work. Overall, its okay. Maybe not worth $16.

I bought this to stop my brows moving around during the day, and I got the blonde one. I found the applicator a bit large to do delicate eyebrows, and if you accidentally get some on your fine hairs under your brows, it looks like you need a really good tidy up. The formula drys really crunchy, so your eyebrows feel like they might snap off if you pull too hard! I'm not convinced its a great product, I don't like the application or the feel, I keep trying it from time to time as I want to like it, but always decide its not a great product for me.

I think the brush is too big, the products sets too hard and crispy, and the packaging feels cheap. With a smaller wand it might be better, as it would be easier to apply and may avoid the crunchy problem. It definitely holds my brows in place all day, and it matches the colour of my brow pencil well, which is also Australis and I really like it. I think with a redo of the packaging, this could be a good product.

This product was a pleasant surprise.I picked it up for $13 in the shade blonde, hoping to combine it with my Anastasia Dip Brow to get a slightly lighter colour. Basically, I purchased this product to play around with. I assumed it would simply set, my brows and maybe provide a little bit of colour. The first time I applied this product I applied it on its own to see the full effect, and boy I'm glad I did.

The Australis Tint My Brows product fills, deepens and sets my brows to perfection. I have light brown brows and blonde hair, and have always found the 'blonde' shades of brow products just a little to dark. This product provides my ideal shade, and leaves my brows looking full, but not 'coloured in.' Whilst this is not a plumping product, the end result is as if 100 extra hairs have been added to my brows. Like I said, perfection.

This product is a tiny tube with a mascara spoolie applicator that is brushed over the brows. I have average sized brows and can apply this product in a rush without making a mess. I can see that the applicator could be an issue if you have thin brows, and the product could end up on the skin. The only other downside to this product is that it does leave them a little chalky and crunchy, however I can't see how it could set them without this. I personally don't touch my face during the day, so it goes unnoticed.

I have swapped my dip brow for the Australis Tint My Brows, and would honestly describe this as my perfect brow product. It is incredibly easy to use and gives a beautiful result that is still there 8 hours later.

NOTE: I have blonde hair and light brown brows. My brows are reasonably full already and I like to fill them further without making them too defined.
