I never intended to purchase this one but when I bought the Too Faced Candlelight glow online I saw this and for the price I thought what the hey let’s give it a whirl . I’m such a sucker for the pretty pearlescent shades.
This comes in a sleek black based compact with a clear lid which lets you see the pretty pink colours inside with a pretty pink design on the top. It’s a nice sturdy little compact really not bad considering the great price.
I bought this in the shade starlet – this comes with four shades a pink shade with a gold fleck through it, a white creamy highlighting shade with a warm gold fleck through it, a light bronze shade again with a peachy/gold fleck through it and a deeper bronze/beige shade but still very warm shade with a goldy tinge to it. I would say these shades are perfectly suited for the fair skin like myself (although the shades are so nice and lovely they would probably suit many skin tones).
I decided to use the darkest bronze shade as a really light contour as it does have some shimmer to it (and I didn’t want to look like I was on my way to a disco ! ). I applied this using my artiste contour/blush brush two swipes and applied just underneath my cheek bones and blended up and out. I was really impressed with the pigment of this, it’s smooth and buttery and it’s a beautiful shade for me I find it really hard to find bronzers that don’t look to dark or contours that don’t look to muddy on me this was a really nice combination. You don’t need a lot but it’s easily buildable if you need to. I went over this very lightly with the lighter bronzer/gold shade as more of a highlight this also doubled really nicely as a bit of colour on the lids.
I decided to mix the pink and white shades together and use to highlight the tops of my cheek bones, again the pigment was great and you don’t need a lot they are soft and buttery and easy to blend - the combination of both colours warms up the cheek bones while still giving a nice fresh glow to the face. I choose to use just the white shade on my nose under my eyebrow bone and in the corners of my eye it’s a nice bright highlighting shade.
These lasted really well over my work day and only started to fade away a little towards the end of the day but for the price of these I was extremely happy with the product I received these are truly lovely to use.
I would definitely recommend these to try and will be eyeing up the Siren next
I have this Bronzer in the shade Siren. My first ever BH product and quite possibly a new love affair with this brand because, I love it!
This bronzer comes in a black compact, clear plastic lid with beautiful pink flower designs on the lid.
A beautiful quad with bronze, gold and copper tones. All 4 shades are different and can be used separately but I like to combine them all for the perfect gold bronze on the cheek. Often using it as a contour on my cheeks and forehead.
This product is not too shimmery, it's highly pigmented but blends really well and lasts all day.
You can purchase this straight from their website for $8 (usd). But shop around look at some NZ online stores, I purchased mine on a makeup website that was closing down and picked it up for $6 :)
An affordable, loveable and quality product in my opinion.
Tips: Lightly dust over with your brush as this is a really pigmented bronzer. Too much and you'll look like you've been sitting in a sunbed for too long.
