I received the brow buddy as a part of the Take Back Your Brows kit from the BDB website. Upon receiving it, I found it didn't have the white pencil you get when you order the brow buddy on its own. I emailed the company to ask about this and was told that it is expected that you use the universal brow pencil (included in the kit) instead of the white pencil. I found this to be a bit disappointing, but went ahead and used it anyway.
First impressions, the brow buddy is made from a very thick plastic. You can't tell this from the photo or the description so I was expecting something thinner, and possibly stainless steel. Due to the thickness of the brow buddy it's really hard to get the pencil lines in close to the edge of the brow buddy.
The next issue I encountered was with using the universal brow pencil to mark my lines. Being a brow pencil, it's designed to blend in with the brow hairs so I simply couldn't see where my marks were and therefore couldn't see where to pluck. I happened to have a light NYX Wonder stick so I tried again with that but with the brow buddy being so thick it just made a big mess and couldn't be used as a guide at all.
This has the potential to be a really good product if it was even half the current thickness but in its current state I find it to be completely unusable and can't recommend it to others.
In a bid to tame the brows, I thought this contraption might help the cousin brows become sisters. I felt like the biggest dork trying to use this and it gave the bf a laugh watching me have this pink plastic contraption attached to my nose. It's made of thick plastic, and clunky to use. I can see what they were trying to achieve, but I couldn't make it work for me. It definitely didn't make me feel like a billion dollars...
Tips: Don't close it while it's still attached to your nose... it'll pinch and hurt like hell.
