This was the first item I excitedly plucked from my March beauty box and I opened it straight up to give it a go. Universal? I had to try it! I'd tested brow pencils before but had never been fully satisfied with the colour or look...I tended to find it looked much less natural than when I used a brow powder. This pencil actually blew me away. It applied much smoother and easier than I expected, blended with my natural brow colour (light brown) really well while still looking quite natural. I was so happy to see the results, it was so quick and easy. I also tested it out on my mum whose brows are a blonde colour. We were worried this would be too dark for her, but true to it's name this pencil looked perfect on her also! In fact I think I'm going to have to buy one for her because it made such a huge positive difference to the overall framing of her face. A great bonus is that it's automatic and doesn't need sharpening. I'd definitely recommend this for blondes and brunettes of all shades.

This product was in my (amazing) March Beauty Box and I have to admit, I scoffed at it at first. What use to me (with my jet black, well kept, fairly thin brows) could this possibly be?
As it turns out, I had no idea what I was missing. This doesn't miraculously alter my brows a lot, but what it does do is make them more defined, darker and better above my (often quite made up) eyes.
The pencil is a soft brown, which seems like it would be too light on black brows. but it's actually perfect, as what it does is tone the skin underneath so that there is no contrast between black hair and pale skin, so my brows look thicker and better defined.
The comb allows me to make sure everything is neat and tidy - and overall, the look just *works*.
At $33 I would never have thought to try this but now that I have I'm intrigued - the world of brows just opened up to me!
Love this brow pencil, and well worth the money. Due to illness I have very sparce eyebrows, but with this pencil I can easily build up my brows. Quick and easy to colour and groom my eyebrows every morning. Stays until I take it off. Will certainly recommend to others.
Tips: Gently strokes to build up the look.
I've seen this brand advertised before and kind of scoffed at the price as I thought it was a little on the high side. After using it for just on a week I would definitely repurchase this for $33 as it works so well for me and is super easy to use.
I like that it comes in a silver tube (for ease of identification in amongst all my black tubes) and that it has a spoolie attached to the pencil.
Not having to sharpen it is another bonus, as is its creamy texture. It makes application so easy.
The colour is perfect for me, I have medium skin with dark hair and brows. As my brows are quite sparse I wondered if the formula would look too overdone but it really doesn't, unless you apply it very heavily that is. I reckon you could easily draw your brows on too thick with this, so remember to keep your strokes nice and light and you should be happy with the results. Colourwise, I wondered if universal was stretching the truth but after reading some of the other reviews, it would pretty spot on. I'm happy with the colour and the fact it doesn't have any red tones in it, its a true brown.
Thanks BR, this was just one of the gems in the March box.
I always seem to forget my brows in my daily routine so receiving this in my beauty box was the reminder I needed.
I loved it, the colour matches easily. The spoolie became my oppsie remover because whenever I over did it it would be lightened with enough brushing.
Where do i begin!! this is now my HG brow product! i love the design, having the spoolie at one end, and the creamy windup pencil on the other end. Its sleek, VERY easy to use and just awesome!! I can achieve different depths of colour depending on the look im going for, lighter strokes for more natural brows, and sharper strokes for deeper 'on point' brows. its seriously so easy to use, and i think i would be lost without this in my life. totally reccomend!!
Tips: spoolie, feather stroke, spoolie again, and top with a gel!! MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN
I received this eyebrow pencil in the March beauty box and I have been reaching for this product every day I put on makeup. When I first read on the card it was a universal brow pencil I instantly thought it would be too light for my dark brows.
This is a retractable pencil one end and the other end has a twist brush (spooly) which you use first to brush your brows in place. I than started to fill in my brows lightly as you don't want to press too hard with this product as it is creamy and waxy. I was amazed with how the pencil matched my eyebrows perfectly. The pencil is also quite thin which makes it perfect for small detailing and even better if your a beginner to brow pencils.
I love this product to bits and will definitely be repurchasing.
Tips: Fill in your brows lightly with little stroaks as it helps to keep them looking natural and not too harsh. Also, be careful when winding up the product as it's creamy and can get stuck in the wonder. And also don't press down the product hard as that could also damage it and you don't want that
Another product from the March beauty box (and wasn't that brilliant). I would never in a million years have gone out and bought a brow pencil, even though my brows have been plucked to 'extinction' over the years leaving me with a fairly thin line to frame the eyes. (I think I have come to terms with them and have given up). The packaging is simple, but robust. No fear of popping this in your bag and lids flying off leaving make up all over. One end of the brush is a very soft wind up colour and a bristle brush on the other end to brush the brows into place. I brushed the brows and started to apply very lightly as I thought it was be very dark. Using fine stokes I 'thickened and filled' the brows ever so lightly and then used the bristle end again just to 'smudge' them. Overall effect - astounding. Definitely places emphasis on the eyes. What an amazing product.
Tips: Be gentle when colouring the brows as the colour comes out being a lot darker than you think. To avoid 'caterpillar' brows I suggest very light application (which can always be repeated if you want) at first.
So before I got this product in my beauty box, I have to admit I had never actually heard of this company, but boy that is one of the reasons I am so glad I invested in the BRBB, because it gave me the opportunity to try a product I wouldn’t have known about otherwise.
This eyebrow pencil is actually the first eyebrow pencil I have ever used, and the only other eyebrow product I have use is the elf eyebrow gel/powder duo which I love. I have to admit, I find the packaging of this product cheap. It feels a bit plastic and frail and that’s something I don’t really like. Plus the silver colour of the packaging looks cheap as well. This is just my personal opinion. However thankfully, it’s what’s on the inside the counts, plus there are some design aspects that I do appreciate about this product such as the fact that this eyebrow pencil has two ends. One end has a brush, and the other end has the eyebrow pencil itself (and mine is in a dark brown colour), which works together like peanut butter and jam. Plus the pencil is retractable which means no need for sharpeners, which is awesome because who has the time for that.
The pencil itself is a dark matte brown, and creamy in consistency. It’s so easy to apply to my eyebrows and just glides so smoothly. I find it so easy to do different looks with this product as it can be used as a more natural filler, or a product to create more intense brows. I myself personally like to go for the more natural look most days, and I have to admit, I have been reaching for this product more than my Elf brow gel, which is a huge thing for me to say since I considered that an awesome product.
Overall, I think this product is pretty great. It’s easy to apply, and gives you the look your actually going for as well as being easy enough to use on a daily basis. I can’t give this a 5/5 simply because I can’t compare it to any other eyebrow pencils. However, I have an Anastasia brow wiz on my way, so once I try that, I will be able to compare this product to something, and will be able to update my review.
I was super excited to receive this product in my beauty box. I had been using an eye pencil on my brows and found the look quite over powering. So it was with great anticipation that I tried the billion dollar pencil. I was not disappointed and haven't stopped using it daily. Firstly, i love how soft the crayon pencil is and that it is a twist top. Saves time and mess when there's no sharpening needed. I also love the brow brush on the opposite end. Great for finishing. The colour is soft and more subtle than my other pencil. I feel elegant with this pencils result. It's not so intense. Amazing that this colour works for both blondes and brunettes .
Tips: I did find that if I was going out again at night I would have to redefine my brows as the definition seemed to have faded or rubbed off. So perhaps keep it in your purse for touch ups.
