Billion Dollar Brows Universal Brow Pencil Review

I received this in the I'm Getting in the Nude Best Beauty Box Ever. This brow pencil was one of the incentives for purchasing this box. I loved the BDB brow powder in Taupe so I figured that Billion Dollar Brows truly had come up with universally flattering brow shades for most hair colors. And they did. Much like the powder this brow crayon looks natural on my fair skinned blondish, red haired friend that won't leave the house without eye brows and passably natural on me. This isn't a brow pencil like it's named, to the waxy soft texture it's more of a crayon. It goes on smoother and the wax does sort of help your eyebrow hairs stay in place better. It's easy to do your brows really quickly. And it's a great start off brow product for who don't know what shade to go for in when buying a brow pencil/crayon. It's a must for anyone who likes changing up their hair color. However, while I do like this brow crayon it's not my most favorite. My most favorite is Eye of Horus Brow Define in Nile. To compare the two the EOH one is firmer and finer tipped which makes it easy for me to draw little hairs to fill in my brows which I think looks a bit more natural than the BDB pencil and the color of the EOH one in Nile is closer to my natural hair color. At 0.27g the BDB pencil has more product than the EOH one at 0.08g. The interesting thing is that the BDB brow crayon has more natural ingredients than the EOH pencil which is marketed as a more natural brand of eye makeup and BDB isn't. Because of the texture of the brow crayon and the way it works is that if you have lighter hair you apply it with a lighter touch and if you have darker hair you go slightly more heavy handed. Because of that if I got the same amount of the EOH brow define as the BDB pencil, I would go through the BDB pencil faster. The BDB pencil is good for doing your brows quickly and the EOH one is better for adding definition and detail. Overall BDB did a fantastic job with this brow crayon and I would highly recommend it even though I do prefer EOH. I haven't decided whether I would repurchase it again at this stage but it may grow on me more and more as I use it and I may have to repurchase.

This is a universal brow pencil that suits most brow shades.

One end is a wind up pencil with the other end having a spooly at the opposite end to brush/style your brows.

Gently fill in your brows as desired (press gently) and use the brush to blend in.

I would highly recommend this product however I do feel that it is on the higher price end which means that I will be very sad once it's finished.

I was fortunate enough to get this in the last Beauty Vault and am so glad I did, as it would not have been something I would have purchased due its claims as being a universal colour. Really I thought to myself, I can't imagine one pencil being suitable for all hair colours. However I was suitably surprised that as long as you aren't too heavy handed and use soft strokes, it is suitable for me although my brows are reasonably light, and the pencil looks quite dark. I love the way it doesn't need sharpening, and that the spooly on the end means you don't need to try and find another brush to tidy up your brows before you pencil them in. I'm impressed with this product and i'll definitely be repurchasing this when it runs out.

Ok I'll admit I was very reluctant when I pulled my BDV universal brow pencil out of my beauty box, I mean come on how would a pencil be able to work for anyone & everyone? I was also reluctant because I've tried eyebrows pencils before & had horrible results. But alas I put my big girl panties on in the name of beauty & gave it a go.....I was left speechless but in an omg amazeballs kind of way! This pencil was so easy to use, I still need to practice but even from the first time I used it the results were amazing. I found that even if I went a bit heavy it was so easy to blend away my mistakes. Despite having super blonde brows the pencil colour blended/matched perfectly & I was left with natural looking brows!

I love the packaging, sleek & straight forward. The fact you don't need to sharpen the pencil means from the first use to the last you have an easy to hold tool. Plus you have the easy to use spoolie (hope I got that right) right at the other end. my only negative comment was that it did seem to wear off but maybe there's something like a setting powder I can use to prevent this???

This has made a HUGE difference for me, having eyebrows (or lack of) has a big impact on self esteem, I was hoping to post a before/after type photo but I'll change my profile picture instead.

I am scared of a $33 brow pencil. I'll be the first to admit it. I had a feeling I'd love it when I took it out of the Beauty Box and I was 100000% right. Even though I have never filled in my brows before getting this product, I quickly learned how to do it. The pencil makes it so easy for me to do and while I can't see how this would work for blondes, on my brows it's the perfect shade.

I love the packaging and the little spoolie on the end. I fill in my brows where I need to with the pencil and then run the spoolie through to soften everything and get the hairs into place. It's retractable, travel friendly and I love that I don't have to sharpen it! It's also super easy to use those feather light strokes to create a really natural brow look.

Honestly as a beginner this product has me torn. I don't want to waste this expensive brow pencil by using it to learn with, but then I know the best way to learn is to use a really great quality product.

Overall I do adore this product and depending on how I go with trying out brow gel, I'll probably actually purchase this for myself.

A sleek pencil styled product, which is duak end.A spollie at one end which has a lid (great hygiene ) &a retractable pencil type at the other end (also with a lid). Product colour states to be universal, so a 1 fits all type. The outside casing of this is silver/metallic. The pencil type is a dark brown colour. The texture is somewhat sticky to the skin not a gel,not a pencil but in fact waxy. Although waxy it isn't oily, neither does it leave any oily residue on the skin. Very easy to use and doesn't smudge. It has great longevity withheld perspiration,heat and a full days wear without needing touch ups. Not to sure if it would withstand the water say if you went swimming as I never tested it out. I believe to be a awesome product and a no fail even with my dark hair the colour suits me. I'm not to sure how long this would last as I've been using it daily for a week and its hard to know how much product there is. I'm not sure if I would pay that much for another 1, we will see how long this lasts and if it's a good length of time, this will increase the chances of purchasing. I'm so grateful for having received this in my March Beautybox thanks #BeautyReview for the awesome work. For a dramatic or natural look it's up to you. If you are needing a no fuss ,reliable and great quality brow pencil. Pick this one.

I was super excited to receive this product in my beauty box. I had been using an eye pencil on my brows and found the look quite over powering. So it was with great anticipation that I tried the billion dollar pencil. I was not disappointed and haven't stopped using it daily. Firstly, i love how soft the crayon pencil is and that it is a twist top. Saves time and mess when there's no sharpening needed. I also love the brow brush on the opposite end. Great for finishing. The colour is soft and more subtle than my other pencil. I feel elegant with this pencils result. It's not so intense. Amazing that this colour works for both blondes and brunettes .

I will be honest. I didn't think this would work for every colour. I didn't think colour would be buildable. But here I am. A week ago with brown hair, now with red hair, using the same pencil, and it still matches. How that happens, I have no idea, but it really does seem to match any colour. I don't love pencils, especially since I can't 'sharpen' it so don't find I can always get the cleanest line or precise point, but for a pencil, if I had to use one, it would be this.

This comes in a white box not something that says buy me, inside is a double ended pencil a bristle brush on one end and a creamy brown pencil on the other end, both ends have lids. A wee twist a the pencil is ready to use, so no sharpener required. Ha ha I struggled with this years ago I tried a pencil and then I got into the wax and brush with the brows. So first go was a line yuck, second go after watching a few u tubes I tried to draw many we hairs! Then I've just drawn a line and then sort off filled them a much better option for me. This goes on nice and light and the more I go over my brows the deeper the colour and then a wee go over them with the brush and they look great. I wasn't impressed when I first started using this but I'm tending to use it so much more than the wax I normally use. The colour stays put, whew so no eyebrows running down my forehead and no smearing and a we wipe over when I'm taking my eye makeup off and it's all removed. I'm quite impressed with this pencil and trying this has opened up a whole new world for me.

I got this pencil in the March BRBB, and I find it perfect for everyday use. The pencil comes in a wind up tube which is great, although its not very fine so you don't get super defined lines but it's perfect for a natural look. It also has a spoolie on the end which I use to tidy my brows before filling them in and also afterward to distribute the product.

I was a bit sceptical about the colour being 'universal' but it did work well for me, not sure if it would work so well if you had light brows though. The formula of this product is great, it applies easily and lasts all day. It doesn't smudge at all and I would use make up remover to get it off.
