I purchased this for a steal at Postie Plus in the shade Playing. It has quite a sweet simple design with a nifty sharpener in the lid which works very effectively. The shade Playing is a bright glossy pink-coral when applied thickly, or a muted berry pink stain when dabbed lightly on the lips and blended out. The texture is a little tacky on the lips even when used as a stain.
The formulation is SERIOUSLY creamy. You absolutely need a lip-liner with this as it is inclined to smear all over your face. I used the NYX wonder pencil to neaten up my lip-line after applying this quite thickly and it looked good, very glossy and very hydrating, almost balm like. However this didn't even last on my lips for the duration of a cup of tea, and transferred off the lips unevenly so I still had a thick ring of lipstick on the outside of my lips, and nothing in the middle. When applied lightly as more of a stain it is a little more forgiving and a lot less likely to mush around your face. Its creamy nature means that in a pinch you could use this as a cream blush by dotting across your cheekbones and blending well (more so for oily skins as this does take a little coaxing to blend on the cheeks).
Although I absolutely love the colour and the hydration that this lipstick has it probably wont warrant a repurchase from me. I think it is trying to emulate some of the other chubby type sticks on the market, but IMO is far too creamy to have any sort of fixing power particularly if you will be eating or drinking. I will continue to use on occasion but this is not one I'd repurchase in other shades.
I own two of these in the shades Playing and Singing. Playing is a bright coral red with a subtle shimmer to it. One coat of Playing builds up a strong enough colour for me and I have found that it stains my lips in the colour which helps the colour to last all day. Playing feels very moisturising on my lips and is one of the few lip crayons I own where I do not need to apply lip balm first, because this does not dry my lips out. Playing is a really lovely shade and it doesn't make my teeth look yellow despite having warm undertones. The shape of the crayon makes it very tidy to apply and there is no need for a lip liner as the crayon is very precise. I also own the shade Singing, and my same opinion applies for this shade. It's a stunning raspberry shade, that is very wearable. The packaging is gorgeous; in fact the box was so pretty I actually kept it! The lip crayons come in a bright raindrop printed box. The crayon itself also has the pretty raindrop print. The crayon unfortunately is not a wind-up one and has to be sharpened which I think is a bit of a hassle. I can't seem to get the hang of the sharpener on this as I end up squashing the lip colour on the crayon. Aside from that, I would definitely repurchase this brand of lip crayons as they are cheap, come in eye-catching colours and it they don't dry out my lips.
