I bought this at a Postie Plus sale at the beginning of the year out of a $2 bin. I should have guessed from the $2 bin that it was going to be nothing but a big disappointment and a waste of my $2 coin that could have gone to the parking meter instead! It comes in a pretty classy glass bottle with a pump to make it easier and mess free to get the product out. Now that I have used it I would never buy it again nor recommend it to any of my friends or family! I love the promise that the name suggests 'stay perfect'. Too bad it is quite the opposite to this.
The colour I got, buff is too dark for me! I am usually a beige or buff but this one is a bit on the orange side. It seems a bit too think for foundation too. I would expect a 'stay perfect' foundation to be a tad thicker if it's going to cover anything. I apply my foundation with a Real Techniques foundation brush to ensure best application result for me. It goes on easily enough but unfortunately it just doesn't want to cover any imperfections. It looks far too orange to start with but I remedy that by using concealer to make it less in your face orange. I had to do what felt like two or three layers before it looked like my canvas was even remotely covered. My red cheeks were still visible which annoys me most of all!
After two hours I check myself in a public toilet mirror and hello, I may well as not worn any foundation at all! It looked like I had nothing on my face but my eyeshadow and mascara. What a waste of time even applying if it's only going to last a couple of hours at best. I couldn't finish this bottle. It was just too thin and not enough coverage for me. It left me with a rash on my cheeks where I layered it on to get coverage. My skin hated me for it and rebelled. It took my skin three weeks to get back to the way it was before. Don't even waste your time girls, it's not worth the energy!
I grew up in the UK and Boots was a Saturday morning outing for me as a teenager, I had heaps of their makeup so when I saw that Postie has started to stock it I ran in and gathered up an armful of products to relive my youth.
However I was so disappointed with the No 7 Stay Perfect Liquid Foundation, I purchased the lightest they had which was ivory, normally this is fine for my pale skin but it was really orange in colour and the texture was clumpy, so I shook the bottle to even it out but it never did anything to it. The most awful thing though I found was that it slipped right off my face with or without primer!! Then 2 days after using it I came out in a rash of spots along my chin line which put me right off the foundation.
Packaging is its only saving grace in an opaque glass bottle with a black plastic lid it is still the same classical design that I used to buy, however whatever they have done to the formula is terrible, either that has changed or my skin has.
