Easy to apply, quick dry and last a week now on my nail without top coat. The green colour is opaque, I only have to apply one coat and surprisingly the green by itself looks great. The only problem I have is the cap, the square cap make it a bit hard to apply. Not a biggie, that could be because I am used to round edge cap on polishes.

This nail polish is great, it goes on really well, spreads amazingly over your nails in a bold solid colour (not watery like some brands). The colour (green) is either a colour that you love or hate, I loved it. I and have had it on for 7 days and it is only today starting to chip, I have given it a hard trial and it definitely goes on strong and stays bold and shiny for days. A great product that I will certainly use again.
Tips: Making sure your nails are clean always makes the polish last longer. Also a touch up on the third day is great if you are still digging the colour :)
It's been a while since I've used a Butter London polish. This bright, deep green really appealed to me so I was super excited to have the chance to trial it!
I applied this the same day I took my acrylic nails off, so my nails were very roughed up and I didn't feel optimistic about any polish going on well. I buffed my nails but they were far from smooth, and I used a Sally Hansen "Salon Manicure" base coat.
Firstly, the colour payoff from this polish is incredible. Opaque and even at the first coat. If my nails had been in better condition I would have left it at one coat.
I let the first coat dry for 5 minutes, then decided to apply a second coat, just to see if it smoothed out the ridges and chips left after my acrylics came off. And it did - perfectly! Smooth, even finish, no evidence of any underlying unevenness in my natural nail.
I was very impressed. A quick dry topcoat with Seche Vite and in a matter of a few minutes I was ready to go. No bubbles, no shrinkage (which you sometimes get with Seche Vite) - perfect long wearing application.
After 5 ordinary days dealing with keyboards, soft drink can tabs, glue, handwashing etc... not one single chip, dent or smudge.
My only complaint is that the brush is quite little - the handle is short and slim, while the brush is long and slim. I personally prefer a broader brush with a more substantial handle, but for the payoff, the brilliant coverage and the long-wearing results, I can deal with that first-world problem!
I'm a renewed Butter London lover - off to source more colours!
Tips: The brush is a little fiddly.
Use a nice quality base and top coat.
One coat is enough but two coats is perfect!
Had so many comments on my amazing green nails. There are many lovers out there and many haters. Personally myself loved wearing the green. Applied as recommend I was amazed at how easily it went on and was incredibly smooth. I was impressed with the intense burst of colour as you did the second coat. The only down side I guess for $29.90 that it would last longer on my nails after the second day it was starting to wear off at the tips of my fingers it didn't chip but just rubbed off. I love to wear nail polish and would definitely recommend this brand jusy make sure you apply both coats.
Tips: I reapplied coatings after it was wearing off and you couldnt tell that the old coat was underneath
First of all I loved the cute little bottle it was in- I'm a suckered for anything different. At first glance the size of the lid put me off a bit because it looked like it would be awkward to hold whilst applyin but it's a false lid!! More or less a cute cap to go on top of the real lid which was perfect size and shape to hold whilst painting your nails. This is a biggy for me because I like to do funky things with my nails so I need to be able to be precise and some lids just don't work. I put this on at a terrible time...my 16 month old started acting up after about a minute after I applied it. Could not believe that it had dried in that time!? I normally wait till he's asleep because I always smudge my nails picking him up. So that was a huge bonus for me!! I normally do 2 coats but the colour looked decent so I thought I would test it like that first- no top coat. I then did the dishes and scrubbed the shower expecting it to chip off and even played a little guitar. I had a slight wear on 2 of my nails on the right hand, but this was after giving it a serious hammering and with no top coat. I was super impressed. I decided to do them again and play around with some designs and put some black lace over top of a couple of them just for something different and it looked so cool. I wouldn't have picked this colour out myself but I love it. Its not quite as bright as the picture shows its a little more suttle which i like. Especially against the black lace. And I wear a lot of black too so I get away with wearing random colours. I even have green lipstick to go with! I actually can't wait to try some of their other colours. Just because they wear so well and dry so fast. It's the perfect nail polish for me. Probably the only downside is that there's not quite as much as other brands have in their bottles but it is definitely better wearing than others I've tried And I got a decent colour with only one coat.
Tips: Apply liquid silicone around your cuticles to avoid over painting them. It also stops nail polish drying them out. To do lace on top cut a piece out at the approximate size of the nail you wish to cover, paint it with your chosen colour and wait until the nail polish has slightly dried then place the lace on top and press gently into the tacky nail polish. Trim anything that's over hanging and paint over with a clear coat. This also wears really well as the lace stops any chipping. Ebay sell nail design tape super cheap for those wanting to get funky with some designs.
I loved the look of this nail polish bottle and once I had figured out I had to pull not twist the outer lid off I liked it even more! (Few seconds of frustration followed by a few seconds of sheepishness)
The nail polish applied beautifully and one coat was all I needed and it dried smooth in record time!(perfect for a busy mum who gets a few minutes to do her nails before we have to be back on duty)
I loved the colour in the photos but once it was on my nails next to my skin it was OK but not as wow as I would have liked. I have since gifted my sample to a friend and she loves the colour
Sozzled is a gorgeous bright kelly green polish. I loved Sozzled - I didn't have any colour like it and I haven't seen many greens like it on the market. Most green polishes I know are paler, more muted and/or darker.
The polish applied opaque after only two coats which is a great timesaver! I used both a base coat and top coat (OPI) and my fingernails didn't start chipping until after five days. My toenails didn't chip at all until I removed the polish. I want to check out other BUTTER London polishes now as this one applied and wore so beautifully.
I would definitely buy this unique colour again and I recommend you give it a try if you like brights - would be especially lovely for Spring :-)
Not a big fan of this particular nail polish colour but it did is job. I think its heavily pigmented which if awesome. I applied two coats for every nail. I applied a top coat which made it looked very shiny, but without a clear top coat also looked nice. Day 3 of it I started getting chipped nail polish, I was happy normally day 2 with other nails polishes I usually chipped nails. So overall it was good. Would definitely invest in more Butter London polishes. :D
