Clarins Beauty Flash Balm

I have used this product off and on for years and still love it. I usually use it when my skin needs a bit of extra tlc as I find it makes my skin look plump and glowing. I've never used it as a mask as I think the price is a bit high to use the product in that way. I usually buy this online when I can get it for a good price. The packaging is standard Clarins - white tube with red writing. The product is an pale orange colour but you can't see this once you have applied it. I love this product - time to buy some more I think!

A white squeezable tube red printing packaging is so so wouldn’t get excited about it or the box it comes in.

The cream it’s self is a pale apricot, the fragrance is fresh and creamy pleasant enough but nothing to write home about and it fades pretty quickly.

I use this nearly every day I pop it over my moisturiser as a primer for under my makeup or just as a light blur.

During the day if I need refreshed I pat a small amount on my face over my foundation and powder and I sort of get a wee makeup pick me up. A little glow on.

As a face mask I cleanse then put a reasonable amount on my face and neck (don’t forget your neck, it is seriously the first place to show your age) let it have a good soak for ten to fifteen minutes. Rinse it all off with warm water and a face cloth then follow with moisturiser. In the morning if my skin looks a little tired or I’m a bit off colour this has been a life saver, just to brighten my skin.

Till I did this review I didn’t realise how much I use it, also a tube lasts I’m yet to buy a full size as I always get it with gift with purchase. I’d recommend this, its subtle but it’s good.

After a consultation with the Clarins counter manager at Farmers, she recommended I try using this product as a primer to help lift my skin and boost the hydration, as the foundation I was using at the time had really dehydrated my skin. I'm so glad she indorsed this product to me! Prior to this, I had never used a primer before, and in all honesty I didn’t even know the purpose of a primer! I was just told to Cleanse, Tone and Moisturise. This has been a great addition to my morning beauty ritual. I love that it is all natural and smells fantastic. It went on nice and smooth, however was a tad sticky, so I worked out if I left it to set for a wee while before putting on my foundation I was sorted. The container lasted for about 6 months as you only need a very small amount for full coverage. It was a great base for makeup during the day however I never used this at night. After about 2 months my skin had fully recovered from the dehydration and subsequent breakouts and I owe it all to Clairns.

I was a little skeptical of this product first after reading how 'multi-purpose' it is. I tend to find that products made to do one job usually do that job great but for some reason products that are made to do a multitude of things generally don't seem to do ANY of them well.

This was NOT the case with this product, it exceeded expectations for me! It works really well as a primer and would be perfect for those who hate silicone primers as its not silicony at all. I have not used this as a moisterizer or mask as I have other products I like using for these purposes.

However, my favourite way to use this product is actually mixed in with one of my favourite foundations for a 'no-makeup' makeup look. It sheers out any full coverage foundation and gives such a natural look while still being able to cover redness and as a bonus it will make your makeup last longer!

I will repurchase this product.

I swear by this, have used it for years!! First found it when I lived in the UK and now its a must. Introduced my sister to it and friends. When you have had one of those nights with your baby/toddler, I find putting this on and then my make up, just peps me up for the day. Makes my skin feel magic and alive.

I used to work as a Flight Attendant and the travel and air conditioning constantly left my skin dehydrated and tired looking. I was put onto this by a fellow Hostie and remember trying it for the first time when I had just come in from a 14 hour flight. I was blown away by how it made my skin look alive and healthy again...almost immediately. I didn't like it so much under my foundation as it tended to make my foundation clump. But I did like it on its own or under tinted moisturiser. All in all, I like to have some with me for those days I really need a pick up for my skin.

This primer is gorgeous. I have super dry skin so it helps hydrate my skin prior to my foundation application and it gives my finished look a nice glow. It's a bit pricey but that hasn't stopped me using it daily as when I don't use it my makeup wears off so much faster.

Packaging: simple easy to use and handy travel size tube. Texture: looks thick, and creamy in texture but changes to a lighter lotion feel. Great as a primer gives a gentle tightening feel to the face for the pick me up feel after a night out. Also gave this a try as a mask -nourishing and tightening face felt amazing.
