I think this decreases the look of my smile lines by about 50%, Its clearly brightens and illuminates my skin but doesnt give it the oily/super glossy look which is GREAT. It is however super pricey, but it does do exactly what it says, so its worth it if your looking for something that tightens, brightens and reduces the appearance of lines. I use this under my foundation as a base or sometimes on its own to give me face a fresh awake glow. I paid around $58 from farmers for the smaller/medium sized tube. Cute fresh look and a little go's along way so lasts ages/

I use this product most mornings after my usual moisturiser and before my foundation. As a full-time professional employee, part time student, mother, 40 year old insomniac , I need all the brightening and refreshing I can get and this product delivers. My foundation looks dewier and my skin appears as if I had 8 hours sleep the previous night.
Tips: Do like they say on the box and apply your foundation while the product is still damp on your skin.
I have been wanting to try a few different Clarins products for a while. The bottles always look so classy and I had heard really good things about their skin line being well formulated. When I finally caught on to a GWP I knew I had to go for it! In the Farmers GWP there were a few goodies - this "Beauty Flash Balm" was one of them. I had wanted to try this for a while as it has a bit of a cult following so I was really excited to try this (I would have purchased this had it not been in the GWP).
Once again the packaging is extremely classy and simple. A white squeezy tube with red writing on it. The lid fits securely and once undone reveals just a normal wee whole for squeezing the product through.
I was a bit surprised when I initially squeezed some of this out that the cream/balm is kind of tinted a pale orange. No wonder they say it brightens as that pale shade would be a great colour corrector. This does have a bit of a scent. Quite natural and inoffensive though so I didn't find it a big problem. When you spread this on your skin it feels very smooth and a wee bit silicone like, but not so much that your skin feels terrible. I have been using this as a base for my makeup and I do feel like it creates a really nice base, I'm not sure if it really makes it last longer but I really do like it. I don't think this really does any tightening or reduction of wrinkles... but I am reasonably young so can't really test it on that claim. They say you can also use this as a mask but for such an expensive product I don't think I'll be doing that any time soon.
For me I have been really happy to try this. But I don't find it a holy grail product so it isn't going on any repurchase lists just yet. I think my overall advice is to see if you can get a sample or this with a GWP because although it is really nice I personally don't find it a miracle worker.

Under foundation it make it look terrific. As a mask this is excellent for drier skin especially. I love a great multi tasker and this is it. I must get some more.
I have used Clarins Flash Balm off and on over the years and for the price I am not totally sold. I don't like it under makeup as it takes a while to absorb and prefer a lighter product but do like it as an overnight mask and it certainly does get rid of dryness and does brighten up my skin.Would I buy it again -Yes but only if on special.
Tips: If applying under makeup do not be heavy handed and give time to absorb .
I was a bit confused when I satrted using this product. I got in free in a Clarins gift pack. Now that I've used it a few times I love it but I tend not to use it everyday. I use it particularly when I look tired or my skin is having a bad day. Its good on the dry bits and evens out skin tones
Tips: Use a little and it goes a long way.
I'm new to makeup so I've never noticed if primer has an effect on my look or not, and the beauty flash balm is no exception. That doesn't exclude it from being the greatest thing I've put on my skin. It smells great (sort of like baby powder), it feels incredibly silky and of course, it has the ever-gorgeous Clarins packaging. Is it bad that I just use this as a special-occasion hand moisturiser?
I had not used this product until recently when it was included as part of a travel pack I purchased. I had read about this product ad what it could do. For me it has become the rescue remedy for skin, especially if I am tired or traveling as it perks by skin up and tones down the redness.
Tips: Use it when traveling on aircraft as it stops skin dehydrating
Smells nice, feels soft and light, isnt sticky, it does smooth your skin but it is out of my price range
I had never used a primer before and was recommended to use this one. I sometimes use this when I don't want to use a full on moisturiser as it is not as heavy. I really like the way it makes my skin feel and I think that it does make the makeup last longer.
