This was first recommended to me a few years ago by the Clinique counter staff in Farmers. It was pricier than my usual foundation, but I was first convinced by the perfect colour match. I've never looked back. Wears well, medium coverage (so I only need concealer occasionally) and my minor blackheads, whiteheads and acne (from blocked pores) are a thing of the past. Absolutely does what it says it will. Minimises redness (including flushing during the day, such as during exercise). Lovely matte finish, definitely not chalky. Has noticeably reduced breakouts (except for a few hormonal breakouts, and this conceals those perfectly).

Tips: Apply with fingers for smooth coverage. Can streak with a foundation brush. A little goes a long way: I use a small pea-sized amount for my whole face.
This was recommended to me after having a facial done. Honestly I swear this has quickly surpassed my other foundations and has become my daily. I also give this credit for my now lack of acne and blemishes arriving as it contains salicylic acid on a small scale but obviously enough to keep to keep those face volcanos away.
Tips: Apply with a flat top brush for more coverage. I use my fingers for the minimal look then go over it with a second layer with my brush in a stippling motion.
I was at the end of my tither with my skin, binned all my makeup and started again... I had had enough of spots and poor coverage and more spots.
I sought advice, I sought coverage... I forgot to factor in affordability... oops sorry bank balance. You see I wouldn't normally spend this kind of money on a foundation... but then again this is probably why I have not been happy with the results. I was cautious and asked lots of questions, had the assistant apply it to my face after she colour matched me (of course I was in between shades but I tan easily and spring is almost here). I opted to let the make up settle before making a decision on it.
The assistant made me feel at ease and asked all the right questions. but most importantly I liked how my skin looked and felt... it was like my skin but better and so lightweight. So I did it... I made the decision and bought the slightly darker shade that she applied as it matched nicely with my chest as well as my face.
I felt confident and on top of the world, this makeup claims to not cause or aggravate acne, so I eagerly applied it the next day and I was a bit disheartened by the lack of coverage and then the cake-y-ness of my application... clearly my skill had slipped... I persevered and got there in the end... blend blend blend. It had enough coverage for my melasma, but I needed extra concealer for my dark circles (when do I not).
I don't wear make up daily but after using this for around a month 2-3 times a week I can say it has not faltered on it's claims. I found the lightweight formula long lasting and even, but best of all no new pimples!
Downside... I have fine lines, as well as some deeper (oh the joys of adult acne) and I can see it settling in them (not creasing) but I think a decent primer (and better day cream) would have that sorted out.
The packaging is tiny, but isn't bulked out and fits the small flat square-ish tube well. It squeezes out quite fluidly and spreads very easily.
Tips: Skin care rather than cover up is the best way to help acne but to have a product like this that doesn't exacerbate what is already there, money well spent in my opinion.
Have used many of Clinique's products in the past and this didn't disappoint. I can often acne out with blemishes of all sorts and credit where credits due. This certainly says what the name suggests!
I wear this every day. It's so light on the skin, and is so natural. I do find that It can get a little greasy on my skin the longer I wear it, but I fix that with powder and it's fine.
Tips: Use powder, apply with beauty blender or brush.
this is my every day makeup, is light weight and gives a perfect coverage. previously had ance problems, thankfully have grown out of this now, yahoo, this makeup hides any blemishes but doesn't clog your skin and looks very natural.
Tips: i mix this with an SPF every day to save my skin from becoming damaged
I love this foundation! It has excellent coverage, and doesn't make me breakout further even when worn for extended periods of time. However the lightest shade is too dark for me during Winter when I'm paler.
I was recommended this product by Farmers, when I was really struggling with acne. I found it made my acne stand out on my face. I was recommended to apply it with a brush, and it just didn't go on smoothly at all. It was very drying and cakey, and oxidised after a few hours. My skin felt irritated when I took the foundation off. Would not use again, was a waste of money. Might be better for people with acne scarring, but not active acne.
The formula and wear of this foundation looks great, wore it for a few weeks and liked how long it would last, the finish and coverage however even though it is formulated for blemish prone skin it made me breakout like crazy. If I stopped using it for a few days and then used it I would develop extremely painful blind pimples which I never had before using the product. No idea what ingredient my skin disagreed with but was not pretty!
Clinique's Anti-Blemish Solutions Liquid Makeup has to be one of my favourite foundations, I've been using it for almost two years after being introduced to the brand by a friend because it's such a good quality foundation.
I am currently using this in shade 3 - Fresh Neutral, which works well on my warm-toned skin. Clinique really has a great range of colours available for this foundation and in summer I use Fresh Vanilla.
The packaging of the foundation is a plastic squeeze bottle with quite a large lid. It's a good size for popping in your makeup bag as the lid is really secure. The nozzle of the bottle is also quite small which is great as it allowed me to easily regulate how much product I was dispensing.
I have applied this using my fingers, foam sponges, my RT blending sponge and foundation brushes. When applying with a sponge because the formula is really liquid I either use a dry sponge or use the sponge only slightly damp so that it doesn't water down the foundation.
I prefer to apply this using a flat-top foundation brush to stipple, I find it really easy to apply and blend in, and you use a lot less product this way compared to using a sponge. The finish is nice and natural without the cakey look some oil-free foundations can give.
It provides medium coverage and I find it does neutralize redness really well. If you do have areas that need a little more help then it would pay to use concealer on any more noticeable blemishes or under-eye circles
The formula itself is specifically designed for acne-prone skin and to help minimise oil, so would be perfect for combination/oily skin.
I'm a huge Clinique fan and will definately continue to repurchase this product, it's such a fantastic formula and I highly recommend it.
Tips: Try before you buy if you're unsure it's for you, Clinique counters at Farmers and Life Pharmacy are often happy to provide samples of it to see if it works for your skin.
