I got this product free in a Clinique gift pack in the shade 'Watermelon' and I love the colour! It moisturises my lips, and also lasts for 2-3 hours on my lips. I was slightly disappointed as mine broke in half after only using it a few times. I am definitely thinking of repurchasing this as I love the colour!

Love this as an easy to wear colour that can be lightly applied for daytime or with a bit of lip prepping can be bolded up for evening wear. It's lovely and doesn't dry my lips. I have the gorgeous hibiscus (a coral or orange colour depending on your lip colour) which I wore on a winter escape to the sun, and I'm looking forward to wearing here this summer. I do need a mirror to apply but it's easy in a stick and quick to locate in my makeup bag due to the stick colour (don't need to pick up and check 20 black lipstick cases to find the colour I'm after). Does need re-applying but that's okay as it makes my lips look more lush than long lasting formulas.
Tips: Can easily be used as a day gloss and applied directly on lips or you can prep, prime and layer on lips to get a richer colour which lasts a bit longer.
I am a sucker for cute packaging and couldn't go past the chubby stick - I chose the romantic rose shade which is a blue based reddish pink. It acts like a lip stain on me and really goes the distance and I love the balm texture of it. Will definitely try more shades in the future
Tips: Keep lips well hydrated, while the texture is a balm, I have found this a little drying - but I am happy to tolerate a little dryness for the colour!
I actually love this little lippy. I love that they're called Chubby sticks and I love the colour result. I apply this when in a rush and it never bleeds further than my lips. It is not the most resistant to cups of tea but I find after a a few applications in a day my lips get a pink stain to them by which point I find I no longer need to apply. Great little lippy to keep in ya bag.
I really love Clinique Chubby Stick Intense Moisturizing Lip Colour Balms - at the moment they're my favourite product for my lips! They are super-moisturising. The colour is buildable by applying more layers. The pencils don't need sharpening (luckily - because I don't have a giant sharpener), you just twist the end when you want to 'sharpen' it! The colour on the outside of the Chubby Stick matches each individual shade so it's incredibly easy to tell which colour you are choosing when fumbling through an over-stuffed makeup bag. They feel lovely to apply (glide on like silk) and keep my lips feeling amazing and comfortable all day with absolutely no stickiness. The colour, as well as the moisture, both stay put for ages - longer than most others. The colour does fade a little bit after having a cup of tea or coffee, which is to be expected, but the basic stain remains and still looks gorgeous, so it isn't an issue at all - you're not left with a ring of colour around the outside of your lips as you are with most lip colours. My lips have a tendency to dry out so I'm always on the lookout for moisturising lip colours, so I was exceptionally happy when I came across this. I love that I am able to get a precise lipline using Chubby Sticks and there is absolutely no chance of smudges, smears or colour bleeds. The colours are really flattering. I just wish there were more colours available - I'd buy them all! Even though these aren't a budget price they are well and truly worth every cent! I've got two similar but amazing pink shades at the moment but I plan to get more colours (red will be next). The ones I have are #05 Plushest Punch, which gives a gorgeous, flattering pink stain and I also have #06 Roomiest Rose, which is slightly darker. Both suit my cool-toned colouring brilliantly!
I have a pinky and reddy tone of this product, they both are a medium tint on my lips. On me they have softened my lips whilst using, non bleed and non flaking. The product it self is large and reminds me of a jumbo crayon, a little goes a long way so this is a product that will last ages. I paid $10 for each of mine new off facebook.
I recently bought this in "Mightiest Maraschino " and I have to say I'm really impressed. I had bought it initially to take advantage of the recent gwp offer (which by the way was NOTHING like what was advertised, but that's another story). I had bought the other variety of Chubby Stick before in Fuller Fig, and quite liked it. It was a great natural, neutral for me. This time however, I wanted to amp it up a bit. In the same crayonish package, this colour is way intense. Exactly as they say. A gorgeous reddish/deep raspberry colour that lasts until lunchtime. The tip of this lipstick is quite pointy , But for me this doesn't last that long as I wear it to a flattish surface quite quickly. Despite this, it still goes on really precisely. As mentioned before...this colour for me is fabulous! Just the pop of colour that brightens up a grey, chilly winter day.
Tips: Even though it says I is a 'balm' I find it slightly drying. Ensure your lips are in top shape for this bright shade.
Very easy to wear, moisturizing and comfortable.
I have this in the shade mighty mimosa which is a lovely light pink. And it is the best every day lip product, whether i'm wearing anything from no to full makeup.
I have quite dry lips and wearing lipstick can dry them out further. So this product is ideal for me.
However, it is quite pricy.
I bought this in the colour 'Curvy Candy'. It is a cool-toned, feminine pink colour that looks very natural. The balm is not highly pigmented, rather it is quite sheer, but buildable. This gives a soft and natural colour, which makes it great for everyday use. The formula is very moisturising, and makes the lips look plump, so great to use for those who have drier lips. A down side is that they do not last very long. However, the balm glides on very smoothly and the colour does not bleed. Also it does not leave that horrible outer ring of lip colour as the colour wears off.
The packaging is very cute and easy to use; it looks like like a large, chubby crayon with a twistable base and has quite a bit of product.
These are more pigmented and matte in texture than the original formula - this also makes them longer wearing. The only downfall for me is the shade selection - the only wearable/closest to neutral shade for my complexion was 'curviest caramel' a deep peachy/coral based nude which is to be honest not that flattering for me at all. I love the formula of these but wish there were more shades, infact these are most similar to the ones Clinique released in the early 00's which were wooden pencils - I still prefer the original formula (the first edition of these wind up pencils) over these which were more balm like and shiny in texture but really like the matte long-wear of the intense formula - just wish there were more neutral/nude shades available.
