I have the Pop Matte lipstick in Blushing Pop. This lipstick has quickly became my go-to favourite. I'm not really a nude lipstick person, but I saw this one and thought what the heck. I now wear it almost everyday. It lasts for ages, even if you're snacking and drinking all through the day like I do. It's super hydrating, I've never had a matte lipstick that still manages to provide so much moitsure. I'm also a big fan of the packaging. It's small, compact and stylish in it's little square case. It's just a shame that Clinique's not a more ethical brand - otherwise I'd be buying a lot more of these.

I received my Clinique Pop Lip Colour in Plum Pop as part of a gift with purchase. When I first received it I tried it on, liked it enough but then didn't touch it again for months. Why? It just didn't have much of an impact to make me want to wear it so was pretty forgettable. Recently I was cleaning out my makeup as I do and rediscovered this and thought I'd give it a second go. My thoughts?
I love the smaller size packaging, it's handy in smaller bags or for me in the pocket of my work scrubs. Plum Pop is a pretty muted plum which makes it a great 'work' lipstick for me. It glided on easily and I found the formula was creamy and moisturising as stated, but I definately don't think one application kept my lips moisturised for 8 hours.
I like the product enough but it still is yet to wow me and for the high-end price tag I wouldn't repurchase myself.
Tips: If you're on the fence with this then keep an eye out for gift with purchase time at Clinique just in case it becomes available.
I’ve got quite a collection of Clinique products. When the infamous gift with purchase came up, I couldn’t help but get this lipstick- which I had my eye on for quite some time.
The packaging is modern, simple and just classy. The bottom half is the colour of the lip colour, with silver on the top half. Then a shiny logo with Clinique written on it. Just perfect.
I went for a colour nude pop, a nude pinky browny colour. I really like the subtle colour of this. I have pale skin and this just gives my lips a hint of colour. Just great for every day wear.
Another Clinique product which I’m very happy with. The colour is nice. Lipstick is hydrating and just feels moisturizing to my lips.
This lipstick seems to be one I reach to regularly, so it’s definitely one of my favourites. I can’t wait to expand my collection with different colors.
For Xmas... well after Xmas I brought myself a few things in some of the Boxing Day sales. I had a pharmacy voucher to spend and life had a sale on gift sets and so I brought the Clinique plenty of pop gift set.
It was a good way to try a few of the colour pop colours without spending too much money. There are 4 in the set and the set is rather comparable price wise to a single full size lipstick.. plus gift sets were cheap as chips so I picked this up for a steal.
In the set were Clinique Pop Lip Colour + Primer in Papaya Pop, Love pop, Graffiti Pop and Rose Pop.
It was in a pretty set with pink Perspex box and silver sleeve. Four cute little lippies lay inside individually boxed. Then within your lippies.
I would say 3 out of 4 are really my colour. All are very pink to plum colours, 3 more a pinky plum and 1 more of a pink. I rarely go pink but papaya pop it’s not a bad pink. It’s not too bright or highlighter.. it’s been surprisingly nice so I will use this despite not being one of the colours I tend to gravitate towards.
Price gets me a little.. I would struggle to cough up the coin for full sized tubes. Unless it was a colour I loved and on sale I probably wouldn’t gravitate towards these as my first choice for lipstick. Plus I much prefer their chubby sticks. Sadly I haven’t fallen totally in love with the set.. price for individual lipsticks is a bit offputting so I have to keep that in mind. I’m pleased I brought the minis to try before I buy. I do love their chubby sticks so would say if your looking try before you buy so you can compare.
It’s a nice creamy formula. Nice to apply. Light taste to the lipstick. Great pigment cover and looks good on not patchy etc. My one note with the actual product and it’s wear is it doesn’t last hours! I would say I get maybe 4 hours out of this less if eating.
Find these hard to beat the chubbysticks I love so maybe I had high expectations. They are ok though. I guess I’m comparing them to the chubbysticks and both have different promises but long lasting moisture is a promise of both and I feel these weren’t that long lived IMO.
Tips: Test colours instore before purchase to compare to chubby sticks.
I treated myself to a Christmas gift set with 5 colours and I love them all. The lipstick stays in place and doesn't wear off around the center. It also doesn't bleed outside the lip line either which is brilliant. The lipstick feels creamy and not dry either. One of my favourite lippys to wear when going out
I’ve used Clinique lipsticks before and enjoyed them but just by adding a primer to this product has turned it into one of my favourite lipsticks ever. The colours available are gorgeous, I’m currently using Melon Pop which is a muted coral and just seems to go with every outfit. I have very dry lips and find most lipsticks end up settling into the cracks or drying my lips out completely. This doesn’t do either. It goes on and leaves my lips looking hydrated and healthy. While the colour doesn’t last all day I only need to reapply it a couple of times a day. It is absolutely the most comfortable lipstick I’ve ever tried and can’t wait to try other colours. If you’re going to try one new lippy this year, then I can’t recommend this one enough.
I never knew Clinique does lipsticks, but when I spotted this one I had to try it! I was not disappointed! They have beautiful colours in the range. I got my hands on the *14 Plum Pop* its a beautiful natural pinkish/purple lipstick colour. This is the perfect colour that is always my go-to for casual outings with my friends on the weekend it suits anything you wear!
The lipstick is great, it doesn't dry up your lips, and the colour lasts for a very long time, but you do have to top up once if you are out for dinner or drinks. The cover of the lipstick I must say it is also very creative and looks really nice too.
I have melon pop! It’s sort of a coral orange pink tone lipstick! I’m not much of a lipstick girl, but when I do I go for this one. Suits my fair complexion. The packaging is super cute too!
I have always, I mean always wanted to try Clinique makeup and not sure why it took me so long to take the plunge and get myself some. When they announced the Colour Pop range and I saw swatches and the packaging I knew it was time.
Passion Pop - Bright true blue red
The design with the colour of the lipstick on the lid and the rest of the body being silver makes this a fun piece but yet it still holds it's air of luxury with the built in magnet that means the lid snaps shut which gives me a satisfied feeling, odd yes but that is me! This also means that you don't have to worry about the lid becoming dis-lodged, falling off and ruining the lipstick inside your handbag. The lipstick boasts to contain a primer and colour, providing a hydrating effect on the lips and they are not lying! Application is easy and the colour doesn't bleed or move about on your lips as you might expect it would, but it keeps a slight glossy effect that isn't tacky or sticky, it feels like any other creamy lipstick. Colour stays bold and lasts for a while, ok it'll smudge onto your coffee cup but it won't smudge on you. My lips felt as if I didn't even have lipstick on, and by the end of the day where quite plumped from the moisturising effect of the primer in the lipstick.
Passion pop is the best red I own and even beats some of my matte lipsticks which do dry the lips out. I can't wait to get more colours from this range
Conditioning, moisturising and fabulous colour!
I have this lipstick in punch pop and it's a really luxury product.
The packaging looks smart as it's a solid square shape, and for that it's easy to find in the bottom of your handbag.
It glides over your lips and has some real sticking power, I find I don't need to keep re-applying too often.
One of the best lipsticks I've come across.
Tips: Check to base tone, the range has orange and blue base tones.
