CND is a popular brand when doing alot of Nails and trying Vinylux was just another great product, I tried these when getting my nails done at a training institute and so so happy that i had to purchase a couple for myself.
So kind of a normal nail polish bottle I mean nothing fancy clear so that the shade can be seen with the black writing and also have the shade name on the bottom of the bottle too, Shades, there are so many which is great they have bascially any colour to suit any mood and just something to suit everyone.
Formula is great, its not too runny but its not thick and gluggy either, it has the normal brush that you expect in a nail polish and it makes application easy and normally can cover the entire nail plate in the 3 brush stroke which is great, as advised they say do 2 layer of colours and the colours come out stunning, this range even has their own base and top coat which comes in a black bottle.
I found this product does last! its so good maybe i didn't quite get the 7 days out of it but it was longer lasting than alot of other enamels I have tried, I also do alot with my hands so that could explain alot aswell.
Overall, Highly recommend to everyone to try, cost can be a issue but when you are getting an amazing product it is worth it, I will happily use it for many years to come.
I absolutely love having painted nails but chipped nails really do my head in. I have tried a shellac nail polish before and while the wear was fantastic not practical for me to reapply all the time so gel long wearing nail polish is where its at for me.
I picked up the CND vinylux nail polish in the colour cake pop, in the bottle it looks like a very light white based pink. This nail polish bottle is a little bit sleeker looking and the brush is quite a bit smaller than I had imagined (I think im used to the Sally Hansen brushes) I was a little concerned by the brush that maybe it would be more on the streaky side.
I prepped my nails (buffed and filed) before painting. The consistency of this nail polish was fantastic, only two coats of this colour to get a perfectly opaque colour with no streaks – magic ! and I finished off with the Weekly Vinylux top coat. Even though the brush was quite small it was very easy to use. The finished colour is a very opaque white based pink (quite a chalky type colour) its not a soft pink at all its quite a cool pink tone erring more to the side of a cool lilac in some lights. I absolutely loved this colour – it may not be for everyone but this is one of the best colour finds I have had – Love !!!
Drying time was also very quick maybe between 5-10 minutes for the whole process so this was a mega bonus as im always quick to touch it too soon or find something I need to do that moment and ruin my polish.
Now to the longetivity test - my normal day consists of something like gym, work in an office on a computer all day , home walk the dog and im always doing some sort of housework and we have a never ending pile of dishes so while my hands don’t get as strenous workout as some they definitely get a fair bit in their day. I got to day 4 before any sort of chip appeared and this was on the inside corner of my thumb, so nothing to major. It really lasted me a solid week before I wanted to take this off and start again but truthfully if your not super pedantic about a few little chips you could easily keep wearing. For me this is more than enough I like to change up my colours so I don’t really need anything more than a week.
It was just as easy to remove as it was to apply with a just a normal acetone free nail polish remover. I will definitely be buying more of this little beauties and would highly recommend these.
